What a fantastic episode, this is like watching The Cyberpunk Godfather. Great development, and I certainly got tricked there 2 times. I guess the Organo Onishi envisioned was completely swept. I'm sill not sure if it's the Class or the guys from the surface that planned this. Probably both.

Oh and the music was great as well, it really added to the atmosphere.

Also this episode was very unsettling, there's a freakish sense of realism in all of this.

That robot guy from the Class is intersting. He wouldn't listen to Doc, but instead goes stright to Onishi with a warning.
Yoko trying to make Shinji jealous was pretty patheic. But the music in that scene was really sweet, so I guess her feelings for him are genuine. I felt sorry for Shinji, losing his gang. Looks like the Raccon are no more.

I didn't recognize Ichise with that haircut and I'm glad that Onishi's secretary is loyal to him and Yoko is a slut seriously she had sex with Hal in the previous episode and now she loves Shinji.

Wow. The guys from the other side of the wall make their move and Organo falls apart. Ichise got a haircut and a tie and Shinji likes older women. Who says that nothing happens in Texhnolyze?!

I found the scene with the guy carrying the coffin getting shot and the body falling in front of the wife and child very disturbing.

Where is Ran I wonder?

Wow! A whole bunch of shit went down this episode.

First gonna comment on when Yoko or w/e the heck her name is was jealous/spiteful of Shinji bringing that girl to chat . . . She acted almost as if they aren't in an open relationship . . . I mean for christ sakes she walks around naked right in front of him after having sex with his friend . . . Not exactly sure what's wrong in her head too be honest, other than I think she expects Shinji to love her despite the fact she still wants to boink other men. Don't like her character >.< . . .

But more importantly, a whole ton of bosses from Organ died in these last 2-3 episodes, wonder if the organization is toast. And if that is the case, what is going on with the other groups? Feel like the Union should be making a move to seize power at this point.

And finally, was that dude (assuming it is the same person as the "ghost") also the one that Oonishi sold his leg to?

I don't get it. There were all of these fight scenes with tons of gunfire... but who were even the groups that were fighting? Who are the Rakan? Who are the Organo? The show has done such a poor job of even making sense of these groups and who's in them, and what each group's motivation is that none of the fights matter, and it doesn't matter when a person says "I'm part of Organo" or "I'm going to quit the Rakan" because what does that even mean to the viewer?

Hell, it's been hard enough to keep track of who's in which group up to this point, anyway, so hearing that they're switching sides means basically nothing to me.

Ugh, this show is so frustrating because of that. All of this stuff is happening for reasons that aren't clear to the viewer, and it frustrates me to no end, because it makes every episode just feel pointless and a waste of time.

Or the show deliberately does piss poor job explaining its characters in order to appear deeper than it actually is.

I agree that this isn't a show for everyone, hell probably most people. The characters are incredibly distant and not well explained. You have to really, REALLY want to get to know these characters in order for any of it to click, and quite frankly none of them are worth knowing.

The only reason i've stuck with this show is to watch the carnage. It's like looking at a train wreck, i just can't look away.

To be honest, this episode was a bit confusing because they kept mentioning Tsujinaka as if he was a big fish but I couldn't remember that name at all... On the other hand, if you don't know who the Organo and Rakan groups are, this far into the anime, then yeah, you didn't pay enough attention at all. It was shown over and over and over. I think the show did a good job of introducing the two groups, their members and their roles in the city.

Oh, very interesting development. I'm hoping the things really pick up after all this fighting.

I have to agree that the show has a lot of flaws in how it shows you the factions in the first six episodes or so. But for anyone still confused, the Organo is a professional group in league with the prosthetic black market. The Salvation Union tries to interfere with the Organo (since they are anti-texhnolyze), claiming to be for ordinary people's interest. The Racan is the younger texhnolyzed group that is also trying to take control of the city. Basically this whole show so far is the power struggle of the three groups while Ichise is trying to understand Lux and his destiny.

Who's who is pretty much all made clear in this episode by itself, you wouldn't have even needed to pay that much attention to the previous episodes to get what's going on in the moment, the whole organisation thing is a bit more complicated though.

Tsujinaka's guy, Watamaka, tried to shoot Sonoda after Kohakura "convinced" him to do so, but Kohakura saved Sonoda.
Kohakura later kills Sonoda (because he'd be in the way of the plan Kohakura has involving ghost kidnappings) and makes it seem that one of Tsujinaka's men did it (the men that attacked them in the car).
And then kills Tsujinaka because he'd also be in the way of that plan, getting away with both murders because Sonoda was supposedly killed by Tsujinaka and Tsujinaka was killed for being a traitor that tried killing Sonoda.

Tsujinaka was convinced into going after Sonoda by Toyama, who was working for Kohakura all along. He's obviously never liked or trusted Sonoda or Kohakura because when Toyama suggests a traitor he immediatly assumes it's one of them.

If you missed some of that it would be fine, all of that is kind of in the background (since the specifics don't matter that much, it's important that he's a traitor and that's pretty clear at least) but if you don't know who's shooting them while they literally have a line saying "I know, it's Tsujinaka's men" you weren't paying attention.

Although that can be attributed to the show failing to catch your attention, which is a failure of the show, but it did manage to get my attention.

yeah tbh I've watched a lot of this show stoned when and im just in general bad at remembering names and faces. And yes, if you watched 15 episodes of this show and don't even know which characters are members of the Organo and which are in the Rakkan im sorry you really are not paying any attention. This show doesn't spell things out for you but it presents a pretty clear narrative all the same and the main members of each gang and what they want has been shown over and over and over again lol.

Like I get that this show is not for everyone obviously it's not for that guy but notice how like no one else in this thread is having trouble figuring out super basic things like who the characters are.

This episode was extremely clear about who was who. The Rakkan weren't even involved in the fight, it was a coup within the Organo. I think you just haven't been paying attention. Though this show does require undivided attention, so if you look away for a second, you miss a lot. But the workings inside the groups should be pretty clear at this point. The mysteries are: who was the guy from the class? Is he the ghost? What does he want with Hal and the rest of the Rakkan members who have deserted? Why did he leave Onishi alive, and what are his plans for Onishi? How do the people of Gabe fit into this? Did the secretary talk to the city and that's why she hung out with Shinji, to keep him away from the ghost thing that seemingly got to Hal? What's the doc going to do from here? There are a lot of legitimate questions that haven't been answered yet, but you're asking the wrong ones.

i'm not really sure why kohakura shot sonoda and moreover, who sonoda even was up to this point or why he matters. too many people to keep track of. sonoda isn't even listed in the characters on this show. who ordered sonoda shot? onishi? is that why ichise didn't seem to have a problem with it?

Sonoda was one of the generals who always sat at the round table with Onishi. Kohakura is planning a coup, and killing people who get in his way so he can take control of the Organo and the members under the other generals. It looks so far as if Toyama might be secretly pulling the strings, sucking up to the generals, and giving them false information to cause infighting. At the funeral, someone even commented that up until recently, he had been Kohakura's closest subordinate, but then he was hanging out with Tsujinaka, another General. Towards the end of the fight, Toyama was back with Kohakura, so it looks like he went in as a double agent to lure Tsujinaka's men to a place where he could be killed. He told them of Kohakura's betrayal so they'd try to kill him, but maybe it was a trap? Though they did seem surprised by the ambush, even though they won, so that leads me to believe Toyama was playing both sides so he could suck up to whoever came out alive, and then seem to have been an important part in their success, guaranteeing his position in the Organo.

I'm not sure why Ichise listened to him and killed that guy (I think it was Tsujinaka he killed with the sword), when he could have killed Toyama and Kohakura instead. I guess their speach about the workings of the Organo and stay dogs was compelling enough to drive him to action, but I'm not entirely sure. But he seems to be playing out the prophecy now.

I wonder how Ichise feels about his role in Organo, after Ran told him that he would destroy everything and end up alone. You'd think he would try to avoid wreaking havoc, but I guess his loyalty to Onishi is stronger.

Also, the guy from class that was talking to Onishi reminds me of a mythological creature you'd see in hieroglyphs.

Kano isn't that interesting as a villain tbh, I mean, it's honestly hard to top fucking Yoshi after what he did. It looks like are quitting lakan, probably because Shinji was getting too much attention. I don't really get it actually. It might tie all the way back to Yoshi's thing or maybe the Class. So much sh*t just went down. But what's most important of all probably has to be Ichise looking clean asf. Although while he did fix up his hair, he definitely didn't get a haircut. After a bit of action and tussling about, his hair looks exactly the same as before. Oonishi gives him a crap tie AND doesn't actually give him a haircut?
