| I think adding ecchi to a show centered around kids would make things a lot worse than it already is. Assuming it's not on a kids show, then.... In regards to shitty melodramatic scenes, if having ecchi REPLACES those scenes, then that would definitely be a plus. (doesn't necessarily mean it will change the score by +1 or more points) In regards to shitty weak ass wimpy male main characters, if they're not involved in the ecchi scenes and their time is being replaced by the ecchi scenes, then that is also a plus (doesn't necessarily mean it will change the score by +1 or more points) In regards to an already ecchi show, if a better ecchi content is replacing the shitty ecchi scenes, then a plus, but that should be obvious Any other scenes (at the moment that I can think of), ecchi won't help. |

| Ecchi to me is actually a neutral element. It's either plus when I find it used and is reasonable with the character or plot, or it's negative for vice versa. I have to admit, Conception anime and its game - the concept doesn't sit well with me. |

| If ecchi elements are introduced as they were shown in Gunbuster OVA, I would not mind it at all, since it was so seamless or felt natural ...did not detract from the experience. Enhanced it rather if I may add. Ecchi of today is as if the viewer is so dumb that he/she can't tell between a tit or an ass, so there are dedicated panning shots placing an emphasis on them. If it is done like this, it will ruin my enjoyment. |

| If it's badly and nonsensically shoehorned in for the sake of appealing to ecchi fans then it can be annoying. But if it's implemented well to the point that it just seems like it's a regular subgenre for the show, it can make it better. It all really depends on how it's executed for me, I enjoy ecchi but some shows don't implement it well. |

| If someone like me, who doesn't really "hate" much hates something then it's got far more serious plot and character issues fanservice alone just couldn't fix. The other way around would work better. Give a mediocre fantasy/fanservice series like Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody or How Not to Summon a Demon Lord a more interesting overall story and better characters (while keeping the fanservice) and you may have a recipe for success in my book. |

| If I "hated" a show (read as purposely planning to never watch it), then just adding ecchi won't make any difference. Having an ecchi tag may tip the balance in favor of giving a show a try (but doesn't guarantee it) if it was borderline whether it interested me or not. |

| Unless the show has an ecchi tag or doesn't have much tension to begin with. They should NOT do that type of stuff. Not everyone are horn dogs who just want to beat their sticks all the time. Regardless if hated a show. Hell, the show I hated the most IS an ecchi show (and a borderline hentai at that) adding more ecchi than it already has well it mind as well add some genitals at that point. |
