loved it. their personalities make it believable that their relationship would escalate the way it did, the episode felt a lot longer than it was because it was very well-packed with information and the story and the characters were presented in a very natural, smooth way. really liked it! the op song is also greeeeeeat

So my initial response is it definitely caught my attention right away. I love mysteries and this definitely is going to be mysterious. I am not familiar with the source material so I am looking forward to how this plays out.

I don't know if anyone felt this, but this episode gave me a kinda haruhi suzumiya vibe(even though it's completely different).

Same. For the obvious reason, that Haruhi tried to promote her brigade by wearing a bunny girl outfit (and forcing Mikuru to do the same)

And in one episode, Koizumi was talking about how if something can not be observed/seen, it's as if it wouldn't exist respectively its existence would be unknown. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthropic_principle

I thought Franxxx ended... looks ouch.
Sakuta another stoic outcast mc, but he's quite funny & more. Playful. Lots of well designed characters hope they won't be all 1D. Crowd/animation was particularly nice.

I spontaneously started this with a plate of potato toddlers because I wanted something to watch while snacking, 98% sure it would be monotony and ResidentSleeper. I am immensely surprised. Even with the traditionally lame subtitles, the dialogue is pretty grand, and both main characters seem notably pleasant.

Color me both shocked and impressed.

An interesting first episode, because we have in our hands (watching) a great mystery and how a girl is disappearing off the eyes of the world!
More questions arrive at my head after watching it, but the most important is What will be her destiny? She will erase, will disappear or just is a bad dream! :(

Super intriguing show, I really adore everything about it from simply watching the first episode,e the premise, animation, sound, everything was just, WOW.
The main character on the surface looks just blunt and as generic as every other slice of life main character, he's good-looking, sits by the window, has a little sister... However, his personality and him actually being clever (unlike 90% of main characters) is refreshing for a change. I really like the idea this show is tackling, loneliness and being forgotten, the way it's been set up promises a lot. My theory is, the story is probably being told in a retrospective manner, probably one gigantic flashback from a future where he too forgets about his senpai, that could explain why he was reading that diary, he might have written that in preparation of reminding himself of her, it's making me so excited and emotional at the same time, probably the show of the season, if not the year.
There is a mild similarity of that whole syndrome with Fukku-chan from Clannad.

Well, first of all, I really liked this main character, Sakuta. His interactions with the rest of the cast were very entertaining to watch as well.

I also felt a lot of mystery vibes regarding this episode and its plot seems very intriguing. So yeah, I'm really interested in knowing more about this story and about this syndrome.

Loner protagonist, cute imouto, mysterious dark-haired senpai, and a hodgepodge of mysticism? Is this the love child of Oregairu and Bakemonogatari? I kid, I kid.

Anyways, I got mixed feelings about this one. The bizarre story seems interesting enough, but I have a feeling it might become overly pretentious at some points. Not a fan of the two main leads either although it'd be unfair to judge them right from the first episode. Let's see where this goes.

adolescence syndrome? From where this came from? =P

At least chuunibyou syndrome seems like to exist? xD

By the way, watching episode 01 only didn't remind me of monogatari series. Some times it reminded me of OreGairu, though.

I don't really get the premise of this all too much yet... like what exactly the Adolescence whatever is or how it came about, but the gist of it is prolly to my liking. She slowly disappears and he has to remember her, right? After losing all the many memories he makes together with her. I like these type of animes :D Sort of like AnoHana in a way, hehe. Smol resemblance :} The beginning is the end where he forgot her ;O Reminds me of Kimi no Na Wa as well.

Basically, this is nothing new, but if they pull it off well, that's all that matters :D

"Are you on your period?"

Did a 12 year old write the script? Well, still better than him grovelling to the girl and acting like a total pussy.

I'm getting Classroom of the Elite and Bakemonogatari vibes from this whole thing.

Also, Schrodinger's cat to explain supernatural? Hopefully, reliance on psuedo science won't be recurring.

Problem is a combination of Fuko from Clannad and Hanekawa from Bakemonogatari with pop idol thrown in.

Annoying OP. Classy ED.

Catchy OP and good ED i guess
one of my watchlist this fall, i think that's great for first episode
Both protag seems cute, i ship both of them (sakutaxmai). i can sense Oregairu vibe from this (hachimanxyukino) :3 with supernatural things in it (kind of monogatari vibe). it also has some simple comedic scene that quite hilarious i think :D.

well, they mention about Schrödinger's cat and something like this interest me, so i hope more a good thing in the future, I also curious with this mysterious puberty syndrome.

First thing let me just say that this show felt odd... In many ways... Partly because I'm confused about whether this show is serious on the more complex aspect of the plot (adolescence syndrome) or if it's just there for more story opportunity. Either way, the supernatural twist that made the show feel odd might a be a positive thing.

The OP was really a throwback to the 2000s anime songs! Other than that it's quite average, okay. The ED was not fully shown but just like the OP, it is a cheerful kind of song. (Edit: KIMI NO SEE KIMI NO SEI KIMI NO SEIIIII DE!!!)

Adolescence syndrome... A mysterious 'supernatural thing' that takes shape on many forms. This supernatural aspect is really bizarre. This combined with the normal things made this first episode seemed really odd to me like I don't even know what to expect anymore.

But well I do know that Mai and Kaede are cute (I don't dig Mai's bunny outfit, but I like Kaede's panda pyjama)

Very interesting premise so far. The show seems kinda like fusion of Sagrada Reset, Ushinawareta Mirai o Motomete, Kokoro Connect and Bakemonogatari in a sense, wonder where this all leads to. And they also used similiar explanations as in Chaos;Head even though this show is certainly more based on insecurities of youth.

I also like Kamakura-Enoshima setting, Enoden and such. No slapstick bullshit, ecchi fanservice or moe tropes at that, conversation-driven show rather, very refreshing. This was certainly pleasure to watch.

Wow! I didn't expect to have this show go full out philosophical on me! So this first episode basically shows a human experience of Schrodinger's cat. Mai, at certain times, both exists and does not exist. She exists to Sakuta (and it also seems to his sister) but to no one else. I think they showcased this pretty well and hope to see if they develop this interesting scenario further, even if just a bit.

Pretty good. Not really a fan of the whole supernatural thing, but it's quite interesting. I really like the dry humour. Their conversations and teasing are just so fun to watch and follow.

Also, animation's great.

I know right. And why is no one in the show remotely freaked out about the mysterious "adolescence syndrome"??? They act like this is a normal part of growing up! WTF

At this point, just assume that adolescence syndrome is a normal part of the world. It's a huge plot hole that if u want to solve, you have to learn about quantum physics. But anyway, the show is amazing!

So the MC already has a girl he likes but he's CLEARLY attracted to and trying to hit on Mai (not just talking about episode 1). Imagine if the roles were reversed, all the virgin-hunting NTR-crying hypocrites would be wailing like it's the end of the world. Of course, the guy she's "cheating" on has to be the MC cuz these people are self-centered hypocrites like that, it's all about the one they identify with.

Welp, time for this a bit popular anime.. Have seen some memes, but not too much, wonder, how it'll go..
Hm.. Some kind of girl in MC's bed?.. Asking for kiss?.. Imagination?..
Wait.. If things written are 6th of May, and now is 29th of May.. Then can it be his own writing to his future self, and he lost his memory?.. Is that what the ending is going to be?.. Well, not necessary, but still interesting fact about someone writing at May 29th meeting bunny girl at May 6th..
Why this girl of MC's friend looked disapprovingly at him?.. Is she worried that MC will take her boyfriend?.. ;p lol.. Ah, ok, social status things, gotcha.. ;p
Well, interesting topic about people wanting something new, but also not wanting changes.. I believe it's both things coexisting in people.. Well, at least that's my opinion.. Wanting something new, but also wanting stability and stuff..
So something about wishes, hm?.. I mean, Sakurajima's wish made her indeed invisible?.. But dude at train station saw her.. So sometimes she can be seen, and sometimes not?.. When it activates and when closes?..
So not only dreams, but just emotions in general or something?.. If Kaede just became physically wounded from internet bullying..
Well.. To be honest, is it Sakuta's business to tell really Mai to continue with her career or not?.. So it's understandable it went as far as she even didn't come to school for several days..
Well, so far show is more mystery than anything.. I heard it being compared to Haruhi in the way, well, maybe it gives some feels from there with some extra ordinary things happening.. I guess for now I'm interested.. Though, I also wouldn't really hope for some mind blowing resolve or something, some power of love or something probably solving everything.. In best case maybe resolving some internal problems or something.. And.. Would really Mai's only choice be following actress career as some inhuman power possibly wants her to?.. I'd want to see some other solution, maybe coming in terms with something instead than just following partially societal pressure, partially of some demonic powers.. Well, will see, what they'll do with these problems, I guess they will be central topic in anime?.. Not necessary, though..
Also I feel that girls cast can be wast, hope that their stories will be enjoyable to watch..

The premise is interesting. Basically, there exists a syndrome physically displaying what's going on inside one's mind... In some way.
The little sister has been hurt by the bullying and received physical wounds as a result, Mai doesn't appear on tv anymore which led for people to forget her existence in every way possible... And the mc has scars, we'll probably find out why later on.
I can't say I'm fully sold on yet though. I mean, I like the mc who's very fun, the little sister is also a character I think I'll like, as for Mai, I know she's the most popular character but for now I can't say I have that much interest in her. Her personality doesn't appeal to me in any way (don't know why though, but I find her to be pretty boring) and what's going on with her, while interesting, doesn't seem to be as interesting as what's going on with the little sister for exemple. (It's at least the third time I'm not having much interest in a very popular character... People are gonna hate me at times.)
Well, there are 12 episodes left, I'm looking forward to see how things will develop !

Interesting start, seems like your usual paranormal setting with 'injured loner' boy meets 'disappearing' bunny girl senpai anime. Sakuta's personality really reminds me of Hachiman from Oregairu.
