| Even if it's not my thing and is far from my genre of entertainment, this movie was amazing, the story and the characters are fantastic, great production values. I'm glad I picked it up after hearing good things about it. |

| Just randomly watched this earlier today. I haven't seen any other VHD series, much less know anything about it, just curious. It was actually really good. I still don't truly understand everything, but the animation and the characters and the action were all done really well. |

| what an amazing movie!! definitely much better than the first movie!! this is actually based on the 3rd Novel of the series!! i freaking knew Leila's voice actor(Megumi Hayashibara) is the same as Midori Sakurazawa from Chihayafuru 2. i keep hearing her sexy voice in this film!!! more than 10 years and she's still has a sexy voice!!! also Rei from Eva series which i will watch the whole series in the near future! we've got a glimpse of D's mother!! Carmilla got owned pretty quickly XD so Charlotte died just like that huh? :( Meier Link really looks like Vergil from Devil May Cry series XD D vs Mier Link is the best!!! it actually look like D was crying for the death of Leila. wow Vampires don't age at all, would love to have that kind of ability!! Leila's grandchild! D nods at the end just like the first film :D love the movie!!!! it's been awhile since we had a proper Vampire Anime!! Hellsing Ultimate is excellent, but i prefer the elegance of Vampire Knight D Bloodlust. and D is cool and silent, he doesn't mock anyone like Alucard from Hellsing. doesn't need any fancy powers, just plain good old fashion slice cutting!!! love the artsyle!! soo bloody good!!! since Hellsing Ultimate is already done, why can't Madhouse animate the rest of the Novels as a replacement for Hellsing Ultimate? seriously Madhouse there's a lot of potential for this series! if they can also bring Ayami Kojima to do the art in one of the episodes that would be godly as well!! come on Madhouse do it!!! i would give this a 9/10! do wish the action scenes lasted a little longer!! |
| It works very well as a brainless action movie and the story for it is simple, but pretty solid. Though the story would've worked a lot better if they had explained these settings properly, which the previous film didn't bother doing either. Still, it was a really nice watch. And I enjoyed this far more than I ever enjoyed Hellsing that seems to have been influenced by this in a way (not that Hellsing/ultimate was bad, it's just not my cup of tea). |
| Wow. This is one of the best vampire movie I've ever seen. Damn! Even though it's old, I like the animation. The love story between Charlotte and Mier is so touching. For me, it's much better than the Twilight :)) At first, I was confused about Mier's true feelings.. if he's telling the truth or not. But somewhere in the middle, damn! @_@ I feel for him.. Why does harlotte have to die? :( I love the part where Leila's screaming while the ship is trying and flying away towards the sky. I also love how D kept his promise to Leila. To visit her grave when she's going to die and give her some flowers.. I lol'd @ the ending though :D "You're not so bad after all.... you just dress bad." |

| Just watched the movie yesterday with a friend. I really like it! The villains have super cool powers and the love story was touching. Poor Charlotte... I really hoped they would be able to become happy together =( |

| I think I prefer the US dub after all... Not as dark or brutal a world as the original VHD film but it's good stuff nonetheless and nothing seems out of place. You'd think they'd have made more films. |

| Average. The action was better than the first movie, but it felt like it was missing meaning. Visuals and music were both quite good. Also, that chick is one of those crazies that will suicide if you dump them. Not sure if she actually died or not. |

| This is easily one of my favorite movies, and one that I have watched consistently over the years since its release. It got a rave review back in 2002 in Animerica and I was totally blown away by it when I got my hands on it later that year. Vampire Hunter D was always on my periphery (they showed the original along with Robot Carnival and Twilight of the Cockroaches on Cartoon Network in like 1995) but this movie...holy cow. And I agree with everyone that more animated adaptations are long overdue, even if they are to be in CGI (wouldn't it be amazing to get a Kawajiri helmed lavish production like this every few years?!). | Bloodlust is just amazing. The plot is way more better than the previous movie and the animation is 10/10. The only think i disliked on this movie was the romance. |

The illusion scene in the castle when fake Link sucked Charlotte's blood was amazing. I loved it and I loved everything about the movie. And still a better love story than Twilight ( this is actually the place for this sentence lol) |

| Pretty solid movie, I really enjoyed it. The plotline of older animes are much better than what we get nowadays, intricate and we'll thought out. Artwork and animation was beautiful as expected by madhouse, artwork in particular had a strong Redline resemblance which really suits my taste. Ending was quite sombre but quite fitting, classic funeral scene right there. Great way to tie up a 100 min film. |

| This movie was amazing~ Despite how old it was, it managed to bring something new and exciting to me, especially that lovely artwork. Seeing the awesome variety of carnage created by their different powers. The soundtrack in general gave me a big dose of nostalgia from all those grim games I played in my childhood while sounding great as well ♥ The fusion of fantasy and sci-fi was just so fun to watch. It's been a while since I've seen a big-ass tank strewn with Christian crosses filled with bounty hunters mowing down demons before meeting Dracule Mihawk on a muscular horse xD The romance of MeierxCharlotte and DxLeila was sweet and that rocket scene and D keeping the flower promise just tugged at my heartstrings. Being someone you didn't want to be sucks, but having someone who accepts and loves you for who you are is a very relieving feeling. I'd love to see a newer series of this in the future. |

| At a quick glance, some images of the film had hit me, and I was determined to watch it. I did well because in addition to obtaining a high quality in drawings and sets, the narration strikes you for its maturity and because it mixes various aspects; there are not only elements typical of stories that recall vampires but much more, mixed in a very interesting way. Excellent animations, pity only that there is no time to tell something more than this single event. Although it is not essential, but it would be a shame not to watch this film, after all, films like this, do not make more of these times. 8/10 |

| So Carmilla was the true villain instead of Meier, in the end he was just a guy who was in love. In the end Leila hasn't forgiven vampires since she didn't get with D since he's half vampire, I really thought the romance was between him and her. Instead he went to her funeral after her death years later to honor her, that wasn't romance but was more like friendship promise. I hope D finds love in the future I really love the guy and his left hand( Damn does it talk). 7/10. |

| Absolutely gorgeous film. The plot and characters were fine enough, but the visuals were definitely the main draw. I've thought of at least trying to read one of the books, and after watching this film those feelings are amplified. |
