We are clearly in the beginning of the PR route. With the difference of the XMas scene from X-Day Protocol replacing the old shrine scene divergence from Closed Epigraph, which doesnt even exist in the anime. They are trying to merge the divergence points to a single event instead of splitting them apart (PR shift, V&A shift and MWC spoiler now being placed on the XMas event). Think of the XMas Party being the old shrine event and the Reading Steiner trigger that happens if you shut down the phone to follow PR route. Which Okabe did in the anime as he has no recollection of talking with Amadeus again. So the anime will return to this scene later when the true ending trigger happens. |

But yeah you arent the only one confused by this merge. Its literally spoiler hell for some anime viewers as some spoiled the content of Pandoras Box in thinking they did cut it. I also agree we will probably/hopefully see more merges and some subending scenes are kinda needed for the story and for character development. However im fine with them using the first scene of PB for it as they will return to it anyway instead of trying to showcase the hell in another manner(which also would be more confusing in this merge). Also i do think the original PR scene is quite forgetful as most dont remember it and overwrote it with PB (or Gehenna) in their memories. So its not a real loss either. |

| This new series is drawing me in more and more. I'm more curious than ever where they're going, with future Mayuri's adopted daughter's arc. She resembles Kurisu so much I wonder what she'll look like in present day. When they eventually find her. Also I really like how this series is expanding on Daru and Suzuha's very odd relationship. His almost cool Dad moment this episode was very nice. And now I'm wondering what Shining Finger's role here is going to be. She was always a confusing character to me in the first series. This series is juggling a lot right out the gate. I hope it can keep this solid momentum going. |

"Returning to it anyway" effectively means they spoiled one of the biggest twists in the story. It will not have the same impact. Both the anime and VN scenes are forgetful. Nobody will remember either of them. But the anime scene is forgetful and stupid. |

| Whaaat??? I have the same kind of confusion as Okabe when he suddenly has visions of the future. Or was that him actually briefly transported to that other time or other worldlines? So the American scientist wanted Kurisu in the Amadeus to fall in love with Okabe. I wonder what for... Daru lost weight in the future? That's impressive. I'm guessing here that Mayuri's adopted child, Kagari is actually Okabe's and Kurisu's child, but now in Mayuri's care since Okabe and Kurisu has died at that point. That's only a guess though! Also, the guest that Ruka is having is definitely Kagari. |

| I really enjoy the way they portray Okarin's paranoia and PTSD, it feels so real. Don't mind having some more Moeka, looks like she's just as bad at interacting with other people as always lol. |
