. . . one long running series or collective franchise. Something you would never have time to sit down and fully catch up to in a decent amount of time. So don't go picking something that's barely 100 episodes.

I'd want to say Detective Conan just because it being 900+ episodes and 20+ movies yet it's still not finished comes to mind.

But I'll be the worst and say I'd actually would like to watch every iteration of the Yugioh franchise. I know a ridiculous amount about every version and it's such an easy watch that I know I could binge it uninterrupted. So about 600+ episodes not including the specials and movies.

I'd probably watch Sazae-san, as it's the longest anime in existence, with 9000 episodes at the moment.

I would probably pick the entirety of the Gundam franchise. Well, I'm going to do it anyway, but it will take me some years.

One Piece episode 914 & 915 & 1027 were a mistake and 957 brought the salvation - FMmatron

Finish all Detective Conan episodes, is one of my favorites, but I've only seen up to episode 237 of 900+, and no matter how I love it I just don't have time to catch-up and no favoritism will make me sacrifice a shitload of time I could spend watching new shows or even rewatch other of my much shorter favorites...

Pretty much the only long-running series I'm interested in is Detective Conan. Despite having LIMITED time, I managed to watch all 899 episodes released so far. (although I haven't watched the movies yet... but I will get to them eventually)

If something is interesting enough, you'll find time for it.
e.g. If you can manage just 2 hours a day, you can get through all of Detective Conan in less than half a year.

I did this to a lesser extent. I watched the entirety of Hunter x Hunter when I fucked up my ankle and I got time off work.

But two weeks on just Naruto. Damn.

I'd use it to rewatch Gintama over and over again.

If it must be something I haven't watched then probably One Piece. I was thinking maybe Digimon, but I already watched 4 seasons + going to watch the entire Tri movie set.

I mean the first 3 are not even an hour. And the other 10 are about an hour and a half? And one of those is a recap. But watching 13 movies in a row is probably draining but not a total feat?

Hah, I guess. I've just watched most long-running series that I am interested in years back. LoGH is a contender, but I intend to watch it in time.

LOGH
Gintama
Hokuto no Ken
HunterxHunter
JoJo
Katekyo Hitman Reborn
Lupin III (depends on how interesting Castle of Cagliostro is)
Ranma 1/2
Yuu Yuu Hakusho
So unlimited time would do wonders.

I think I'll pick quality over quantity and, in spite of OP's indication, choose barely-110-episodes Yuu Yuu Hakusho.

I'm just at the beginning, ten episodes in, and it looks stunningly good already.
Wish I had enough time to binge-watch it, but I sadly don't.

I see that you're a person that has many culture, OP. I implore you to play the game instead to test every cards for yourself because for me it's less immersive if I don't understand what a card can really do.

I also agree with detective conan, it's a good anime if you don't care much about the romance.

I’d like to watch the entire Pokemon franchise, and Youkai Watch as well.

I’d probably start One Piece too, since the only qualms I have against it is the length of it.

Though I’d mainly take the the time to watch whatever is on my ptw/ptr and on-hold, since it would be nice to be organised.

Detective Conan or The Macross Franchise thru the tears years.

Then if I was allowed a couple extra, Lupin III, City Hunter, Yu Yu Hakusho, and Sailor Moon.

Edit: SHoot. Almost forgot Kimagure Orange Road.

(And Kenshin isn't THAT long... but)
Definitely Rurouni Kenshin too, and Full Moon wo Sagashite.

BUT THAT'S IT.
(Except for You're Under Arrest, and the Patlabor series.)
...
(And Ghost in The Shell SAC franchise.)

BUT THAT'S REALLY IT.

I want to catch up on Detective Conan. I probably could if I didn’t have various other series I wanted to watch as well. 900 episodes is just too much for anyone. At least, I am sticking with the manga (which in my opinion is better anyway).

Other than that, there isn’t much stuff I’m interested in that’s that long. Although, I do have quite a few series I’m trying to start soon around the 50-150 episode range like Saint Seiya, Captain Harlock and City Hunter.
