So yea it was moving in an interesting direction. But dude we spent 12 fucking episodes in the fucking tutorial is what we did. Even if it gets more, I don't necessarily feel that it entirely rectifies first season. A lot actually happened, and in that sense its fine, like pacing wise, but it did very little to advance the plot on a grander scale, and it also did very little in terms of worldbuilding despite spending so much time and actually doing a pretty decent job of both of those things because despite all the time and effort put into doing so it focused entirely on what appears to have been a very small portion of both the world and the plot. Like there's only so much worldbuilding you can do without leaving the fucking anime equivalent of pallet town. It just teases the much bigger world right at the very end. I would say that's still Problematic. |

| That initial videogame-esque feel Grancrest had makes more sense when you realise the guy wrote Lodoss which was just a Dungeons and Dragons session with his buddies he decided to write down. Also it's kinda funny because now it's getting a game. Trailer doesn't exactly endear me, but might be worth a look at if it gets an English release. |

It was a fun romp (well, first season was) and was at the time a bit of a breath of fresh air because of how it did that (ie. the action and the setting), but it's not like... super amazing or anything like that. |
