THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
Jesus Christ, Yuka's way too chatty in this episode especially about her bro.

Speaking of siblings, Olga's brother really has some issues to deal with. Kouka's involvement with the anitbody network really spells out trouble in this story. For a hIE, Kouka sure displays a lot of human personality/behavior.

This episode also picked up action. As strange as I find Kouka's role in this show, she can fight pretty well. Arato will probably have to get used to this...and more.

Things are heating up. Kengo sure is in a lot of trouble for getting involved with Kouka. The poor guy. The tech with the invisibility is pretty cool. It's going to be quite helpful.

Something about this episode didn't feel right to me.

This episode felt a little slow to me but at least We are starting to learn more about Kouka character and Olga's big brother character so this episode focus on some other characters besides the main two so that's good I guess.

The next episode looks a lot more interesting so I'll look forward to it. 5/10

The plot was progressing ok until... "Let's go to a building with heavy armed beings from both sides, with a robot I have no idea where it came, because I want to save my friend."

I thought the plot would improve, but I'm losing hope. I will give one more episode.

There was lots of interesting stuff happening this episode, but at times it felt like it moved slower than it could have done because of the very dense exposition in various places. Other than that, this was a decent episode and things are slowly continuing to pick up, so I'm curious to see how things steadily progress from here.

Definitely getting with the pacing of this series, sure some things are a bit expository but it's definitely ramping up. Well this survives on my list of shows to keep up with on a Friday.

The plot may progress slow, but like I said last week, it's better this way.

Bit more action this episode, but nothing which really impressed. Looking forward to next week, tho, when Arato is going for Kengos rescue.

So that was what Kengo was doing when he was using the system. Looks like this came back to bite him. To think that Kengo will be involved in such a movement though. The manner of speech between Kengo and Olga is interesting. Hmm a sever that can be carried around by a HIE certainly is an interesting idea. The antibody network eh catchy name. Ryou's investigation into that event continues on. Thats some high tech gear that Lacia bought though. Hopefully they will be able to get Kengo out of there. Though i wonder what will happen if they encounter humans though. Kouka though is surprisingly human like though with her actions though.

ALL of Ryou's screentime and related exposition in this episode was NOT in the manga, and I'm guessing is anime-onry from how direct and heavy-handed it was. Actually did dole out some rather important information at least. Kinda had the feeling that they added the info dump in part so that they could stretch out the arc by an extra episode. I'm now predicting this arc will wrap up in ep6, since that would work out nicely for the BD BoxSets. >_>

Good and bad are two sides of the same coin, I like it when story's plot goes along this route... But I guess we're supposed to be geared towards lacia & arato.

From an abstract view, there isn't really a good or bad to this anime, thus the characters haven't really defined their purpose
What I'd really like to know is the route this anime is trying to take in terms of its ending -is it primarily an action that allows room for romance; or is it a romance that's using action to prolong the story.

On the other hand, I like how this anime addresses A.I's, since advances are being made in this technology and science; anybody know anymore anime like this, I've watched plastic memories but they hadn't taken on A.I.s from this perspective.

A lot of things happened but nothing important happened also... What an ambivalent feeling. Hard to describe the peace of this anime.

Not bad, not good, just average. But not offensive, not yet.

It is probably to hide the fact that she is a real attacker. You know there is probably some good defence system(some heavy hIE?) but since there are only some human terrorist there was no need for a stronger defenses. Or to prevent any other actions as escape for example.

Probably.

I don't see any romance. There is a robot girl who attached herself to a 'master' and that 'master' has no idea what to do with her or the incidents around themselves.

This series reminds me Eve No Jikan more than Plastic Memories; emotions and acts on a cliffhanger mood.

I am ok with all those info-giving moments, slow pacing, but that Yuka character, what good is she in the series for, other than time filler/waster. Seriously take her out and let the romance begin.

Until now, only Lacia and Kouka impressed me, other characters should struggle more!

------------------

I'm glad this show has strayed away from whatever that was in episode 2, the show has been a lot more interesting with Kouka around. I'd say it's Diomedea's best show since 2012 but that's such a low bar.

urggh can't stand any of these character except Lacia & Kouka

especially Yuka i feel like want to punch my screen everytime she appears with her carefree attidude. did she realize because she forced Lacia into modelling she almost get her brother killed?

Hope they kill this Yuka character later on. might as well serve as plot device to make Arato stop being a pussy

also the terrorist : Why are you shooting at us!?
IT'S BECAUSE YOU BROKE INTO THEIR BUILDING AND ARE SHOOTING AT THEM WITH LETHAL GUNS, YOU DUMB FUCKS!!

After a losing streak of three episodes finally it didn't go worse than the last episode, although to be exact this episode was pretty lame in it's own sense. Really tired of this drama going on. Never thought it could go so bad since the first episode gave me an idea that the show would be decent. But this is beyond insane. To think I made a commitment with myself to complete this show...

Well, that escalated quickly.

If this was Ghost in the Shell I'd say it was a decent episode. Politics, cyber terrorism, philosophy... yet when thrown into the context of three high school students with way too much freedom and seemingly no consequences, it feels more than a little out of place.

Overall I like where this is going. Espionage and all that always makes for good sci-fi. The show's biggest mistake this time around is that it actually made me care. Now it has to somehow live up to that, and if Arato and co walk away from this one scot-free for another delicious meal with imouto on a fine, bright, sunny day, yeah , I'm gonna be a little disappointed.

That little shit got what he deserved. "Why are they shooting at us?" Because you're terrorist scum. What did you expect would happen, if you charge into a government building? I'm a bit surprised, that the hIE are allowed to use lethal force though. And I wonder, what Kouka's agenda is. She most likely knew, that it wouldn't work. Also the other guys are quite stupid, it seems. Has no one noticed her unnatural looking arms etc.?

How Lacia and Arato prepared to enter the building was cool though. I'm curious how they will proceed.

Do you think it was kinda cold for the other guy to suggest to the MC not to go save the glasses guy ? I mean, despite his wrongdoings, that person still is one of his friends, right ?

All they need to do is to talk some sense to Glasses-kun and remove him from the influence of the evil robot girl.

Am I the only one who thinks it's absolutely retarded to try to take down robots with guns, robots who are specifically designed to perform in that area in ways humans could never hope to achieve? Sounds pretty stupid. Let's not use EMP or anything, just a bunch of trashy guns.

That's saying nothing about this dumb as bricks MC who doesn't seem to get with the program ever.

The soundtrack in this show seems horribly misused. At first I mistook it for a lack of skill on the composer's side, but there was a pretty decent track in the middle of this episode that made me rethink that. Genuinely disappointed in Diomedea's performance this season.

That high tech equipment was pretty cool. I guess I shouldn't be surprised given the setting, but androids/cyborgs/etc are pretty common in sci-fi, whereas the way the gear worked was pretty interesting/creative. Arato's motivations are a little silly. He's jumping into something with which he really has no understanding of what the big picture is to save a friend just because that friend helped him track down Lacia previously.

The plot's moving but I'm really not sure how to feel about this.

Probably the best episode so far just because they finally decided to get into the meat of the series. But yeah some characters are still noticeably stupid. Yuka and Kengo can both die and I wouldn't bat an eye. It makes no sense at all that Kouka would want to have him as an owner.

I liked this episode. I feel Lacia and Arato spent a bit too long in Kengo's room though.

Really adoring Kouka. It's amusing how yandere she was when fighting against Lacia, yet during her briefing and "morale boosts" she had some very cute facial expressions!

Also with Arato going tactical with Lacia, nice to see Lacia donning her bodysuit again. Haven't seen it since episode 1. ;)

Also, Kouka is a master troll making those humans believe she is also one. I mean, really now?? She is carrying a big ass weapon which a normal human wouldn't be able to and you can see on her body that there are parts that connect in different ways. Just how dumb those guys are? lol

Unfortunately, this series is all over the place. It attempts to try to have a semblance of science-fiction by presenting some ideas... but that's about it. It doesn't really explore the ideas in any depths but simply presents them. That's not science-fiction. Also it shoehorns a bunch of teenagers into the plot because...?

This is like if an amateur watched Ghost in the Shell SAC and decided to write his own series inspired from it. Since this is 24 episodes, I'm going to have to try to continue this...

This show makes me kind of angry...

We've got a futuristic, big-data like setting, an a great potential for the whole "humans coexisting with machines"-stuff, but instead its completely 0815...
I mean, till now it feels, like everyone just does what he wants. (does no one care, what the androids are doing? The companies or the government for example? It seems, like everyone's data is connected, but till now, no one seems to care, that high-class androids, with fighting capabilities are giving themselfs to some random guys?)
I still have hope, that it hides it story till now and does a 180° turn eventually, and gets interesting, but I'm afraid, that wont happen...
Theres nothing wrong with a bit of fighting, fan-service etc., but because I think the setting has the potential, I'm just not satisfied with it...

Maybe, i just expected the wrong genre...

Seriously it is indeed make me angry that some people didn't pay any attention to the show and yet they act like it's because the show either ends this episode or didn't give you detail at all, which are false for both case.

It's possible, that I missed some detail, and I know, that there are still a few episodes left...
It doesn't change the fact, that my overall feeling about it is quite bad (for different reasons, not only the story)
I will continue to watch it, an I will wait, if it will meet my expectations, or gets me hooked another way...
Again, maybe I was expecting the wrong genre, but at the moment, it feels like a bad (or uninteresting) implementation of the setting. And as I said, I see the possibility, that later episodes will go into a more interesting direction. Maybe the plot just needs a little bit, to get started. But, what I saw till now(!) didn't impress me, and doesn't give me hope, that it will get better. I really hope, I'm wrong.
