| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- So Asta is starting to connect more with his new teammates. Well, I guess it won't be easy for him to make friends with Noel considering the way she's treating him already. To her, she believes Asta to be an "insect" an inferior. Not surprised given her family status. Oh and we see that Noel can use water based magic. Personally, I don't like Noel's personality. |

| I feel like the animation got worse this episode or is it just me? i really hope the pacing quickens as the series progresses because there's only been 7 episodes and the pacing is already as bad as one piece. |

| The tsunedere love interest went from a royal poop head to a blushing sweet character the audience can sympathize with in less than half an episode. Most pacing on this show is slow, but that progressed really fast. I am still expecting complete tsunedere in the future, but I wanted more time to dislike her before I felt sorry for her and her sad past. That would have made the sad past reveal more powerful, imo. Huge positive: her character design is really nice and beautiful |

| The first half where they ran around the castle was enjoyable. Made me chuckle a few times. The second half was predictably boring. Next episode looks fun though :) |
| I'm actually glad the thing of Noelle acting like a bitch due her being from the aristocracy has been resolved this episode. On another note, her design is cute and her voice is pretty nice. I think I have already getting used to Asta screaming all the time for every damn thing. It's kinda hilarious, in a way. |

| Good that they didn't waste any time with solving the issues about Noelles insecurity, don't expect her to completely abandon her dere type,but it should get way better than what we got to see during the first half of the episode,that shit was unbearable, take Astas yelling over it any day. Decent episode overall. |

| Just started reading the manga recently and as I assumed, they adapted chapter 5 in this episode (while also, not surprisingly, adding in some anime-original scenes). I'm kind of glad this change in Noelle's character happened so quickly, I absolutely can't stand pompous, stuck-up royal characters (like sure you're royalty but you're still part of the shittiest group of Magic Knights so calm the fuck down a bit) so the faster she drops that, or at least tones it down, the better. |

| Poor Noelle, got rejected by the whole family (except her mother) just because she can't control her magic properly.. So, she's basically like Asta. They both get rejected by the society, but then they met the Black Bulls who love them no matter how bad they're at magic. | I hate when shounen anime does unnecesary recap and consumes 4 fucking minutes of a 23 minutes episode that ends being at much 18 minutes of actual episode, with 8 minutes of relevant story. Rant Aside, this anime is flooding with cliché after cliché xD, kinda surprised that Asta just got in there and now has a girl on his knees lmao, Yami is carrying the show atm |

| Good episode. The tour of the Black Bulls 'castle' was hilarious. Yami in the toilet is a gold moment. XDD Noelle initially comes of as stuck up royalty but the truth is she's been mocked by her own family for being unable to control her powers. Yami straight out throwing Asta at Noelle's berserk power was hilarious. xD Loved the final moment when the Black Bulls told her, they'd accept her even if she was flawed since they were all a group of failures anyway. Pretty heartwarming scene. :) The post credit skit was adorable. XD |

| Finally, Noelle makes her appearance, Perriot has done a great job on her I have to say. This should be fun The one downside to this episode was that they could have put more effort on her "development", from being a complete asshole to blushing and calling Asta by his name. | The tour of the Black Bulls castle was funny. Yami in the toilet was the best part. I'm glad Noelle changed from a spoiled brat to a rather likable character. I dislike characters like her. She can't control her magic powers and her family mocked her for it. The Black Bulls accepting and willing to help her was nice. |

SHUT THE FUCK UPPPPPPP *taser noise*! Jesus its all little too much elitism... I thought that Noelle would be the shy character since that other asshole told her she could take the test... BUT NO SHE HAS TO TURN AND CALL ASTA AN INCEST! Also I guess she not that good at magic? Anyways I like the episode but, the elitism is getting to the point where it's not helping the show :/ |

Fortunately, this will have 51 episodes, so fuck yeaaah. Asta is so precious this episode. Him being so happy having his own room. Haha. Him and Magna-san's shenanigans this episode is just too much. I love Magna-san's base tour for Asta. Their base got a lot of weird shit. I love it. Lmao. Asta and Yuno wrote their family at the church a letter and they couldn't believe Asta passed. Hahaha. Asta is in the Black Bulls which is called the worst squad, but it's got the best people. Meanwhile, Yuno's in the most acclaimed squad, but it's got assholes. Poor Yuno. Naaah, I bet he'll prove to them assholes that he's better than them all combined. Lmao. Watch your sorry asses. Tbh, I was so annoyed by Noelle at first, but I immediately felt bad for her when it was shown how shitty she was treated by her family and how much they belittled her. Fuck them. The way the Black Bulls welcomed her really made me happy. You're with the great people, girl. :') I somehow can see it coming that Noelle will fall in love with Asta. Huehue. Great episode throughout. Loved it. :) |

| Asta sure looks good in his new uniform. Asta's reactions are completely throwing off the others though thats for sure. Man the difference between bases is like night and day and its reflected in the mentors that they have as well. So thats how mail is delivered in this world. The reaction at the church that Asta passed though was hillarious. Never expected Noelle to be part of the royal family though. Noelle is as arrogant as the rest of her family is i see. I guess poor aim is what offsets her mana capacity. Noelle's fear of being scolded caused her to lose control of her magic how unusual. Nice to see that the magic was nullified because anyone got hurt though. Noelle really fears getting scolded though thats for sure. The declaration of unity in the end was nice though. In such a squad no one cares about one failure. Looks like Noelle's attitude would start to change for the better after this event. |

| Does this anime legitimately have a fan base somewhere? It feels like some kind of board of executives who doesn't understand anime picked this show from a hat and decided this needs to be the next big thing. Between the crunchyroll movie thing, the entire year of episodes, and the constant ads, it's being pushed so hard. Me and my roommate started watching it as a joke, now we do it to torture ourselves more than anything else. It goes beyond the F tier MC's seiyuu. The plot is completely uninspired and so trope filled it feels like they're intentionally trying to hit EVERY single one. Any scenes i thought might end up being hype fall flat due to poor directing as well as mediocre animation (Yuno's exam fight? Holy crap that was bad). |
