| I liked it alot, im more inclined to slower pacing and i found the episode to have a nice atmosphere to it save for a few of the rin tsundere moments, archer is likable so far and the fight at the end was really well done, ost is pretty spot on as well |

Whatever your first impressions of Shirou might be in the next episode, just note that he will go through character development and that there is a plot-related reason as to why he acts the way he does (just in case you're tempted to dismiss him as the result of bad writing or something like some people have). |

| So I'm going to be the only person to complain about a couple things, apparently. Well, I assume - like fuck am I reading through 59 pages to see if anyone else did. This was a fantastic adaption, but it's because it's so fantastic that I feel a tad disappointed that a couple important elements were left out. The jewel is the main one. Leaving out Rin's narration about how important that jewel is seriously detracts from the importance of the scene or why Rin is going out of her way to save "that boy." It neglects how much she actually lost. Hopefully it's elaborated on later. Aside from that... I guess the only thing I can think to complain about is that I liked Rin's internal monologue in the VN where she complained about that student who "treated her" to taiyaki, and I see no reason why a minute or so couldn't have gone into animating that. Everything was spectacular overall. The choreography of the action is beautiful, the artwork is beautiful. Well, the soundtrack not using anything from the VN (yet) also sucks, but whatever. Still only getting an 8/10 because this is among my least favorite parts of the VN, so seeing it animated wasn't especially noteworthy anyway, even though I did love it. |

| And that's 4 times! 4 times today, that I've heard Kamiya Hiroshi's voice coming from four different characters. Yato, Araragi, Levi and finally that violet haired boy. Pumped!!! *Ahem* Now onto the episode. I have to say it was pretty good, more so than I would have believed possible. The animation was gorgeous as expected(I think I might have developed a fetish for it), the scenery wowed me. But the real surprise was the fight scene between the two servants. BRI~LI~~ANT!!! Add the soundtrack(which was awesome and fitting) and the slice of life elements peppered throughout the episode with Rin as the POV character, and you get an extremely solid opening. They were even able to conveniently explain the mechanism of the Holy Grail War(at least the bare bones of it) and how the Master Servant relationship occurs without actually hampering the pace of the story and still remain enjoyable! Only one complain really, that Archery captain looks too much like Shiki from KnK. Oh! And that this should've been the first episode instead of being a meagre prologue. |

| I'll try my best to be vigilant about not letting Fate/Zero spoilers slip in (since I'd just finished it last night) while expressing its comparisons. I didn't expect this to be as great as it was. A lovely pick up from /Zero. Rin was actually likable and, wow, Archer. To think I once hated an Archer... which reminds me (F/Z spoiler below): Kotomine Kirei going flawlessly through the world. It burns me. Sakura was not a surprise and neither was Saber. It's good to see her again. 8.5/10 |

| This is the sexiest I've heard Sawabe Junichi, that extra deep voice is like adding the bass to an already sensual melody. Glad I put this off until it was completed because I don't think anything's going to be able to stop me now. This was a great build up and it pulled me just like F/Z did when I watched that. Although in contrast to Zero, I notice that there seems to be a focus on Rin rather than a holistic approach to the servants and masters. Rin and Archer's back and forth is amusing and they're already growing on me. The visuals are godly and I like how once again they decided to make an extended prologue before episode 1. It's like getting a gold medal before reaching the starting line or savoring a juicy steak before the main meal. |

One of many reasons why watching Zero before instead of after is bad - wrong expectations. FSN is NOT an ensemble story. It focuses on exactly two characters - Rin(secondary protagonist) and Shirou(primary protagonist). Which makes sense since the war itself is in background and not really the focus of the show. Episode 1 is also 40+ min long. |

| I wouldn't expect anything less from Ufotable than jaw-dropping animation. Fate/Zero's brutal animation taken one step further. Really, amazing animation and sound...ohhh the sound!!! I hope UBW doesn't disappoint me as the Deen's FSN did, or the -Fate- route itself. Really, the prologue is identical to the VN prologue. The important stuff is right there, and not important and not so important stuff is left out but you can see the core and you are not missing anything. Good work adapting it =) I didn't spot any VN soundtrack, but that doesn't matter, that music they used was badass! |

| Finally started this :D Godlike Animation as expected from Ufotable. It blows my mind how much they were able to improve from Zero(which is already an amazing looking show in the first place). Can't wait for the new Holy Grail war to start!!!!! |
| After I forgot most about Deen Night already, I thought it's time to start the better version already. Music and animation were top-notch as expected, looking forward to more great fights :3 |
| That was perfect as I remember it to be! They even got soundtracks from the VN… oh boy, now I know I’m going to like it more than Fate/Zero. The only difference was I kinda wish Rin was the main character for Fate/Stay Night, she’s a much MUCH better character than Shirou. One thing though... Archer vs Lancer fight Looking forward to more. |
