If someone keeps bashing your fav character, will it affect you or how did it affect you, or does it affect you?
| I just want to know, when you guys watching a series, and found your favorite character, but if someone/half the fandom(from the same series) 'keep'(constantly) bashing/blaming or badmouthing your favorite character just to justify or make 'their favorite character' looks good, did it affect your enjoyment in the show or did it ever affect you to start dislike 'their' favorite character? Or you dont care? What you guys think? Note: Thanks for your opinon. |

| I usually don't care, since normally, I don't care about the opinion of others (and I tend to like unpopular or divisive characters, mind you), but my case with the Akame ga Kill fandom left me really done with it. I just had to like the character everyone hated the most, and when you are looking for things related to the character, and you only find hate, while I didn't care at first, at the end, it got annoying quickly. As stupid/petty/childlish as this may sound, that is one of the reasons why I became a bit resented with the fandom/series in general, to the point of ended hating some characters I just didn't mind in the past. It didn't influenced my score of the anime (I would had rated it that way even if I would had liked other character more), but my personal image of it has deteriorated respecting how it was when I started the series. Now I don't want anything to do with the show. I think that is the only case, I guess. |

| Pretty much everyone who likes TTGL likes Kamina as well. Don't really recall much hate on my favourite characters from other shows either, maybe with the exception of Kagari from Black★Rock Shooter, but that's somewhat justified, lol. |

Well, ik theres some case with an extreme fandom/ppl hating on some character(usually anime with rival/romance/harem/action/drama trope), that I've seen in a few fandom, they ended up hating/dislike their hater char or the fandom etc. While u can say it childish, I think it's not that easy to ignore it, especially if you really attached or liking the char. But I guess it's all depends from each person experience how they react to it or becoming immune to case like this xD |

| I couldn't arse myself. I don't even want to arse myself in cases like these given how they usually are approached. There's no benefit from getting defensive over it, and it's probably just going to land me in a vitriolic and pointless fight. I'm just not orc-ish enough to fight solely for the sake of fighting, I guess. No change will come out of it, people who are usually overtly and loud about their hatred of something usually refuse to listen to anything other than their already established view and will angrily defend that hatred regardless of what it is, and on top of that I can usually put good faith in onlookers being able to recognize that they're not being reasonable and dismissing them for the most part, so there's no reason to worry about people thinking they may be right. No good, all bad and a waste of energy for ultimately nothing. |

| I'm the kind of guy who lives everyday anew. A lot of people in my life have been terrified at how easily and casually I interact with them after a spat the day before. They probably think I'm a psychopath playing a long, convoluted revenge scheme. Or something. I'm just easy-go-lucky. How does that song play again? "So many adventures couldn't happen today/ So many songs we forgot to play." Life's too short to have these silly arguments thing even with the people who matters to me. How much more f*cks could I not give with just random people on the internet hating a fictional character I like? Besides, if there's anything I've learned from openly liking Taiga Aisaka, it's that how I see her is different from how others see her. And that probably applies to every other character I like/dislike. |

| Stay away from the fandom is the wisest. 1. If the reasoning is because they don't get/misunderstood the character I'll probably try to enlighten them about the character 2. If they spouting wrong facts about the character I'll try to defend the character and enlighten them why they are wrong about the character 3. If their reasoning is because just some personal disfavor and/or bandwagon (For example, hating a tsundere character because they hate tsundere trope) I'll just ignore them. Everyone has their own preferences and disfavors. |

When it's many versus one, it can still feel pressure-filled and tense like change is trying to be forced by many rather than just talking about differences when it's approached nicely, so even an earnest conversation can turn sour and toxic when there's one person versus many on one side. It's happened with people all throughout history, and it can happen on more scales than just a big one. This is also why I believe that most flame wars you'll find involve many people on one side and a single person on the other side attacking each other back and forth. So yeah. The conclusion I've reached is that this is just somewhat of a natural reaction, but also a bit dangerous and potentially toxic if a good degree of self-control isn't applied. |

| If someone is bashing a favourite character of mine I will 85% of the time argue with them to see their point of view and 10% of the time will assume they are crazy so no point arguing with a mad man then lastly the remaining 5% is mostly me already knowing why someone could reasonably dislike a character I like so no need to argue since they are free to have their opinion |
