Outside cosplay and conventions, you ever wish you can dressed up in bright, colorful outfits with spikey hair in your everyday life? Sadly, if someone actually did that, he/she would get weird stares from people.

No.

And I don't think anyone is going to get stared for their hairstyle or clothes, unless it's ridiculous of course.

You do realize that you CAN, right...? Unless you live in Soviet Russia or something. (Or an Islamic state)

If you're wearing a school uniform, you're already wearing an anime outfit.

Otherwise, I would avoid wearing such attire outside of a convention. I wouldn't want to end up in a situation like Aura...

Honestly, most character outfits that aren't something "normal" are way to inconvenient for me to want to bother with. For an event like cosplaying sure, but even just putting social norms or embarassment aside, they'd really just be a hassle...

No not really. Speaking of hairstyle I can't imagine how much work you would have to put into yugioh's hair every morning. lol

This is me. Literally me. No other character can come close to relating to me like this. There is no way you can convince me this is not me. This character could not possibly be anymore me. It’s me, and nobody can convince me otherwise. If anyone approached me on the topic of this not possibly being me, then I immediately shut them down with overwhelming evidence that this character is me. This character is me, it is indisputable. Why anyone would try to argue that this character is not me is beyond me. If you held two pictures of me and this character side by side, you’d see no difference. I can safely look at this character every day and say “Yup, that’s me”. I can practically see this character every time I look at myself in the mirror. I go outside and people stop me to comment how similar I look and act to this character. I chuckle softly as I’m assured everyday this character is me in every way. I can smile each time I get out of bed every morning knowing that I’ve found my identity with this character and I know my place in this world. It’s really quite funny how similar this character is to me, it’s almost like we’re identical twins. When I first saw this character, I had an existential crisis. What if this character was the real me and I was the fictional being. What if this character actual became aware of my existence? Did this character have the ability to become self aware itself?

I'd wear a hobo's attire than wearing those cringey outfit.

Never thought of that, when I was in Phi, we had to wear a uniform from grade school to HS. But then as you wear it more often it will become a normal cloth as you go on...

Unless I'm wearing something ridiculous like a halfnaked battle-suit, I definitely would. Maybe something like Yato's clothes.

Probably not. I like my normal clothes, and the inconveniences of wearing anime outfits aren't worth it if nobody recognises it.
If the outfits acted like they did in anime and were magically convenient and never in the way, then maybe. Because they're cool sometimes.

A school uniform would be fine, I guess... And there are several other clothes you can use without anyone noticing.

The only time in my life where I thought something like that would be cool was when I was 16 and stupid. I'll wear shirts of anime characters or series no problem, but full on cosplaying just isn't something I'm interested in.

Yeah, there are a lot of anime character's wardrobes that look fairly normal and nobody would would even know. Particularly those characters that wear coats like Edward Elric (Fullmetal Alchemist), Hei (Darker Than Black) or the cast of Witch Huter Robin would be a good stealth cosplay if it was jacket weather.

Then again that's could just be my personal taste shining through, I always did like the look of a good trenchcoat.

Some anime clothes look kind of nifty, like the Earth Federation jacket. If I had more money i'd definitely wear that.

Hair no, outfits I already have because a lot of anime outfits are ordinary enough that they look classy but can still easily fit in.
If it's specific enough that somebody can get the reference then they've outed themselves as an anime fan, to everybody else it's just a case of a person dressing up.
They might think it's for a special occasion, but generally the response is positive as long as you don't go overboard (again in the case of like hair/wigs).

i don't even cosplay at conventions, no way i'd do it in regular public

however, during convention weekends, its pretty damn satisfying walking into a grocery story in a shirt with a 1/2 naked anime girl on it XD

Only if the world changes too like into some fantasy setting to accomodate the new fashion. In contemporary society, that would just look plain weird even if people start acknowledging it.

Not at all, dressing yourself in over the top anime character costumes sounds too unconfortable to me to even think in wearing the clothes. I'm not a cosplay person either, so...

Sure. Sanity is overrated anyway.
Getting a cosplay outfit that works right (instead of looking right) can be a challenge, though.

I would probably only dress up as an anime character and walk around in public if it was either Halloween, I was walking to a con, or the outfit is one that feels good and integrates well with common clothing. Or if it is a jacket of some kind (Chiaki Nanami's for example). But then again, I don't walk out in public often :P

This never even crossed my mind, tbh cosplay mostly looks pretty bad since it is taken straight from the game/anime etc. rather then being first re-designed so that it looks more realistic and from planet earth.

Wearing an anime clothing? Mhmm. Kinda. But if only my university allows us students to have an anime-like hair, I will have an anime hair. Anime characters' hairs are goals af.

I'd love to do that, but that would be considered 'faddish' in the military, so no crazy hair for me.

May seem cool in theory, but all it would do is attract a lot of (negative) attention. Especially considering with how crazy some anime characters' hair styles are (Goku comes to mind...)
