Visual artist and engineering student. I've watched a good bit of anime.
I removed all my ratings because I don't like rating fiction on a linear scale. My favourites are also unordered for that reason.
Here's a piece of art I quite like from the lovely Rambling Rhubarb.
that's true, if you're not having fun then what's the point.
honestly I haven't seen too many sports anime either, Hajime no Ippo was my second I believe. and yeah I've heard good things about Haikyuu. from the way you describe it it does seem like it has a similar kind of effect, with training for upcoming matches and learning new techniques and stuff. I've been getting back into watching anime lately so I may watch it sometime soon, the series has always been on my radar anyways :P
oh nice! if it sounds interesting to you than I think you'd like it, I've got nothing but good things to say about it so far. I'll most likely pick it up again as soon as it finishes airing :)
lol it's fine, the same has happened to me before so I get it.
oh yeah drums are pretty fun. I used to have a drum set too when I was younger, but there wasn't enough space in the house to keep it so we ended up getting rid of it. it was fun to play though :) as for piano I haven't been practicing, mostly just playing it every now and then when I I'm bored. tbh I never really practice getting better at piano, I mostly just play whatever I think sounds cool, and if there's a song that I like I might learn it, I never go further into it than that.
and yeah Hajime no Ippo has been a good show to binge for me. the characters are likable, the fights are intense and well animated, the music is pretty cool too. I don't care at all for sports but sports anime are always interesting to me :P
oh sorry, that was the english translation of the title, I was talking about Eizouken ni wa Te wo Dasu na https://myanimelist.net/anime/39792/Eizouken_ni_wa_Te_wo_Dasu_na
I've only seen the first 3 episodes since I'm waiting for it to finish airing, but the vibe of this anime is really cool. it's kind of like watching someone's imagination come to life, with the music and animation, it reminds me of an easier to follow flcl. I'd definitely recommend it.
yeah true :P
hmm, in fact I have a piano that I've been getting back into playing a little bit. I'm certainly no mozart, I just like messing around with different sounds. is there any instruments that you play? I've also been looking for more anime to watch, struggling a bit to find any that I'm in the mood for, however Hands off the motion picture club is seeming like a masterpiece so far.
ooo Hades actually looks pretty gosh darn fun. I've yet to play anything from supergiant games, but I've had my eye on Bastion for a long time. Va11halla looks very interesting as well, I may give that one a shot some time :)
yeah I can understand that, I've spent time trying to get good at some things before, it's fun to improve at things, and definitely satisfying once you've got it down. I'm glad you're enjoying drawing, I wish I could say more about it but I really don't know all that much about what it's like to draw, though I can imagine it being a nice creative outlet.
and well, I'm starting to ease down on videogames again... I still like them of course but I haven't been in a mood for them lately. I now don't really know what to do in my free time but I'll find something.
and like... oof... sorry for taking so long to respond, I don't come on this site that often :/
it's like I'd suddenly be very interested in something like anime, then I'd stop because I'd become interested in something else like videogames, maybe with some old friends, or creating videos for youtube or something. I never seem to fully commit to one thing but I enjoy the time I spend. I've even tried drawing before in the past, I've always gravitated towards things that let me get creative, though that didn't last too long, partly because like you said... shit's hard...
hmm, recently I'd played games like cave story, ori and the blind forest, a hat in time. I like platformers. halo also recently came out on pc and even though I'm not too much into shooters anymore, that game was a part of my childhood so I've been playing that a bit. I'm also a fan of the binding of isaac and enter the gungeon, though not many other rouge-like's. the zelda games are probably some of my favorites, expecially the 3d ones... there's a lot more games that I can say something about but this is already getting long lol, I just really enjoy videogames.
hmm, I suppose I'm a mostly quiet person who enjoys playing videogames, as well as experiencing new or exciting things whenever I get the chance to. I tend to not stay in one part of the internet for very long due to my ever changing interests.
how about you, fellow stranger? :p
I have no idea how to answer that question lol. I guess I'm just a regular person who likes Kino no Tabi and like to add others who have similar tastes to my friends list.
i mean, i've converted around... 10? people now. will convert more.
that's an odd question haha. not really sure. i've written this way for like four year now. it's a habit thing, a lot of people type like this. for the aesthetics i think.
My definition of 'Insane' is the loose version of 'Very Foolish, or extravagant." Not necessarily mentally deranged, but *shh*, I don't want the average person to know that. Crazy people are apparently an 'in' thing nowadays.
