I loooved this episode. It had its fair share of drama, comedy gold and character interactions. It was also very well realized.
The only thing they maybe could have done is teaser the next episode at least a bit bc it's gonna get crazeyyy. But I understand that would have been too much.

Wow great episode. I like how the principal's backstory explains his personality now. And E-Class's play was pretty intense. Can't wait for 2nd half now, have a feeling it's going to get really good.

Wow color me surprised, I didn't expect to see the principle redeemed through his backstory like that. It's funny just how much alike Koro sensei and him really are. That backstory was really tragic and made my heart drop. The play part of the episode was a bit weird but hilarious. The big plot twist is coming next episode eh? Can't wait for that.

Eh, I expected something like this from Hazama, the girl is so gloomy. Also, the boys trio as animals was freaking hilarious.

Principal backstory was great. Totally doesn't make up for all the life he destroyed (seriously, how many has the E class existed and created humiliated students?), but at least he was once a cool guy. He sure changed pretty fucking fast though. Took less than a minute to go from ''Hey dude! Let's play basketball!'' to ''I have to create superhuman students''.

That was quite something. I was really surprised about Asano as "nice guy" but I guess it explains how he came to be the kind of person he is now.

I have to say it's kinda sad that he doesn't realize with his way of teaching now he is the reason students might kill themselves. The death of his student definitely took a toll on his perception.

The play at the end was hilarious. That's the way to adjust folktales to the current time xD

Going into this episode I had almost made up my mind to hate Principal Asano forever, but it is good that we get to know about his past and that he is not some trash. I'm glad that he and his son changed for the better.

As for the second half of the episode it was really creative. It had my undivided attention. It took my mid off the assassination for a while but it looks like things are going to get serious now.

Asano is crazy, he would blow himself up.

When we saw a close-up of his tie pin last episode I knew that it was gonna be special. Somehow Asano went from such a caring teacher to only caring about strength huh ... well, he can certainly focus on one thing if he puts his mind to it! I'm a little disappointed it didn't go into his relationship with his son, but the similarities between him and Korosensei ... yep, even the latter knows it! :P I guess they've finally reached an impasse with him allowing them to stay ... that was resolved pretty quickly :O
Also uh ... that play ... yep. That was um ... interesting O_O Just no comment for that really LOL XD

Good Episode with a lot of values.
The flashback history of Aizen principal was a bit unfortunate and a bit tragic to one of his pioneer pupil that committed suicide.
Aizen principal still lost to Korosensei but the twist is Korosensei saved him with his mucus!
2nd part was hard to understand also. What's the play all about? i've gotta rewatch it again.
5/5.

They should drag the antagonism with the Principal a little more, but still his backstory was amazing. I almost forgot what a terrible person he was.

The way Koro sensei got out of his predicament felt pretty convenient. Mostly how the first book just happened to be the book he doesn't know very well. Made the end of the last episode feel a bit trollish.

Really liked the principal's backstory. I can definitely understand the way he is after this.

The play was so random. Mixed feelings on it tbh

One thing I know for sure about that principal is that he really has the passion for teaching. But it became so extreme it's now more like an addiction or obsession. Nice backstory though. He just got schooled by Koro-sensei.

So principal Asano was good teacher when he was younger, but everything changed after that incident...we can clearly see how he became like that.
Koro-sensei memorized all the books hahaha epic xD

Nice to see a less evil Asano principal. The ending makes me hope that the principal can help/assist class e (on how to handle the death of someone they care for) after a successful assassination on Korosensei...

The drama plot lol

Principal used to be a real person at one point, wow. But Koro-sensei's still a better teacher, he taught his kids to fight back and cope with hardships without resorting to beating them down constantly to try to toughen them up like principal does. And I don't think Koro-sensei would start acting like the principal just because one of his students suicided.

I knew Koro-sensei was going to save him, though, he always saves the bad guys no matter how evil they are. Hopefully he'll stop being so evil now, though, it's getting old.

That play, I'm impressed. I looked up momoteru and that play seemed like a much more entertaining version.

And seems like still more stuff is going down next ep.

While I enjoy the OP, I'm looking forward to a new one. This one's a love song and I always try to figure out who it's about when I watch it. Is if from the students to Koro-sensei? Between Irina and Karasuma? Just a generic love song?

Asano no Basket.
Suicide?
Fucking bully.
Fuck that bitch who said Ikeda should have stood up for himself. You ignorant bitch.
So that was the bully Asano was giving money to. Thank you Asano for fucking up his life.
LMAO at them trying to get Korosensei.
lol at Karma.
lol Sugino finally got to be with Kanzaki and it ends in divorce.
Only Asano can predict? Sounds like a plan.

Principle Dick is still a dick, even in his backstory. His reasoning for abusing children is very unconvincing.

This show has a tendency to let terrible people like him and Nagisa's mom get away with their shit.

Haha, that play was delightful. xD

I really appreciate the direction went with Principal Asano's character development, at least in the sense that he was not formulated as a generic bad guy. It's easy to imagine the impact failures as a teacher may have on the educator, and how he may personalize his student's suicide as a result of his own failure. It's a really interesting topic to explore, even if it was just glossed over here.

Based Korosensei memorizing all those problems. I thought he was in some deep shit after the first grenade blew up in his face.

Nice seeing some backstory on the principal; he's one of my favorite characters in the show. I wasn't expecting the principal's past to take such a depressing turn; the aftermath of his student's suicide really corrupted his teaching methods.

Should've seen it coming when Korosensei saved the principal from the explosion. He's too kind to let his rival die like that.

That play was some dark stuff. As expected when Kirara is the one writing it.

Great episode. Telling by the principal, some serious shit is about to happen. 8/10

The suicide of the principal's student really messed up his teaching methods. The old campus where the E Class are symbolizes his weakness and failure to save his student. That's why he's hellbent on producing strong students to avoid making the same mistake again even though he has went way beyond the limits with his newfound philosophy. Losing to Koro-sense and the pep talk was the assurance he needed that he is somehow right in his ways. The way I see it, everyone has been against his philosophy which probably made him even more firm or extremist in his beliefs. Koro-sensei actually acknowledged his methods and the principal realized the flaws in his educational philosophy and even acknowledged his son after his loss.

Some random theater drama and the end. Seems like a storm is brewing up.

I like how koro basically tricked him into thinking he had him in a corner. Ok I get he broke cause his former student committed suicide, but thats more to do with bullying then anything academic. Also if anything the principle is breeding the same environment that took the life of the student he cared about. I do have to say I got some joy of him getting revenge on the student that pushed the kid to suicide.

Ehh, I only felt bad for Ikeda but not for Principal Asano tbh. No matter what happened to him, I can't forgive the treatment he gives to the students and his son so easily.

But it seems the show did forgave him easily, just like it did with Erina some episodes ago.
