Man, I know it'll probably be Chidori x Tenga in the end, but I still want more than anything for Chidori to end up with Katsuhira :/ let the childhood friend win for once, please.

Can someone tell me why Nico was staring at Yoshiharu when he took out the pills?

Oh well, I enjoyed this episode. I want to see where the love triangle goes on later in the series.
At least justify your opinions instead of just saying "it's my opinion". It would've been more polite.

younger me would have loved chidori

but current me loves sonozaki and honoka.

still, the story is kinda shit lol please trigger get gud. I'm not completely surprised anymore since Okada Mari loves her romantic drama and angst > actual plot.

I'd like more interactions between the characters. They're apparently on this closer level now, but they rarely even communicate. Like Yuta and Maki only really converse with each other, Tenga, Kacchon and Chidori are together, and then Nico and Hisomu are sorta left over. And I know it's only episode 5, but if they're gonna apparently be on this closer levell, each characters relationship with each other should be more developed.

And have Maki and Kacchon even said anything to each other?

Love the character interactions as always. But meh don't really care for Cidori and Katsuhira. More interested in Yuta and Honoka. Her character has got me curious as to whats her deal. Lol at them being interrupted by the teacher. He's such as badass with the way he interrupted them and took on Tenga. Hope to see more of him.
Also the preview narration when Honoka calls Yuta cherry. XD

lol
Now I'm confused on who to ship with Chidori. Actually just leave Sonozaki all alone lmao. She 's so boring smh. ~_~

Ahhh... the Yuta x Maki ship is sailing so fast *happy tears* xD ♥

and the part where Nico touched her... and she said "YES!" lmao
I wish there was more interactions with Nico to Hisomu or any other people in fact, she seems to just be staring at them all the time. O.o

I liked this episode a lot.
Especially the relationship build-up of Yuta-kun and Honoka-chan.

Pity for the bullies, but I think they don't need a treatment like that.
I think in future episodes, Yuta's groupies got some kind of treatment like the bullies. But not a bad one like the bullies.

I love how most people are like "yeah this show is weird". I'm pretty sure if someone who isn't an anime fan watched this series, they'd be like "uh yeah, this is anime, so what?"

Like for reals, I know this probably isn't the reason why people dislike the show (I agree that there is much more potential for an overall story, I'll reserve my judgement until the ending with that regard), but Kill la Kill was pretty out there and nobody complains about that!!!

Anyways, I am a shipper in just about any show, and this one makes me happy for that reason lol, I gotta say I know there are alot of Chidori x Tenga shippers, but I'd rather her end up with Kachon (as long as he gets his feelings back that is).

Also the scene with Honoka and Yuta was too good, hella uncomfortable to watch but intense and funny at the same time. Honoka continues to be the wild card and I'm loving it!

Okay, I have been a little shaky on this show for some time. Now, I finally know why, the "point" of the show, if you can call it that, just revealed itself this episode. kizunaivers are like a small scale instramentality project; breaking down the barriers between individuals completely is just a few steps too far ( and makes far too much tang). If this show continues to explore this, like I think it is, I'm really going to enjoy it.

I actually like Maki and Sonozaki because of their air of mystery. Although, Chidori and Niko are also fine. I hope that the viewers will not only focus on the ships and relationshits of the anime because I find it still funny with the anime's craziness and funny plots. I am mostly intrugued of how Katsuhira lost his emotions. I still think there is much more to this anime than those ships.

SONOZAKI NORIKO fan here. Love her badass bitchiness.

Thankfully, a return to form of a Kiznaiver episode.

Who the heck said that test of courage is like.. that? I guffawed most of the time in this offering because of the plain insanity. The plot also advanced a bit at this point so color me happy. So the staff of their school are also members of the Kiznaiver community, no?

PS: Chidori should dial down her melodramatic stance. I cannot bear it. As Yuta said, no one like emotionally heavy women.

PPS: Then there's Maki who looks like a castoff from Mayoiga. Darn, I love her character.

A bit of an advertisement, here's my blog as I talk about these Spring 2016 shows. Thanks for paying a visit.

The emotionally connecting parts would make an absolutely wonderful anime if it was in the hands of someone competent and not Trigger. I know exactly how Katsuhira feels about not being able to connect with others but Trigger's going to fuck up the premise so bad, I just know it. I'm actually sure if the show didn't bullshit around with characters like Nico and stupid costumed people and took an honest-to-god look at how hard it is for some people to connect on an emotional level with others that it would become a top 5 anime for me. Maybe next time

This was a pretty good episode. I feel like they took a big step in their relationships as they now feel the feelings of others, not just their pain.

Mika must have a really traumatic past. I'm anxious to see it finally revealed. I have a feeling she's going to lose her shit at some point.

While I like Chidori, her crush thing is starting to get out of hand. I just want to see why this is all happening to begin with. Luckily we got a hint at the very end. Hopefully that means we'll start going somewhere next week.

I really enjoy watching Kiznaiver but this episode was such a letdown for me. The episode felt messy and tried to do several things in one episode but was just so cliché.

I have no idea where Kiznaiver's heading but I hope the next episodes will be better!

I really can´t understand why people thought even for a moment that this show would be a serious, deep one ...
I enjoy it for the characters and I am curious about the whole Kinzuna Project as well of course. but yeah, I guess I know why someone could be disappointed if you expect a deep story and a serious Anime .... but why would you expect that... the moment, you knew the characters and see the artstyle, it should be clear that this won´t be that kind of anime...

A bit over the top at parts, but It worked for me, the characters really make the show and I hope the plot picks up soon, but I won't be all that mad. Watching them all let their guard down and be vulnerable at times is great to watch.

Nico is feeling envy over the rest of the cast. The fact she was staring at fat-kun while he was showing his diet thing (aka getting atention) makes me believe she's an attention whore of sorts. The same with the bath scene, where her smile makes me believe she feels "glad" her body isn't underdeveloped, if that's the correct word I want to use.

I think the plot is gonna go down to something like "The Kizuna sys is actually something for prisons, to keep prisoners at bay" or something like that. The test show that they can share some emotional impact, therefore one can transmit the pain of one prisoner and use it as guilt for another. It's the one thing I think could fit for what the plot has showed us.

And I feel the art and animation quality went up from last episode. But I may be wrong on that.

I kinda agree with that speculation. Although I also read from Reddit that maybe she's the one who's noticing/feeling more what the other person is feeling, just like when she mentioned that it was painful (and makes her want to cry) while Chidori was doing that little speech. Or that she's more observant of what the other person is feeling/thinking.
Well let's hope we get some answers on the next ep. xD

Probably. I love that they have different reactions faces on that ep. That tiny detail was great and amusing.

Something definitely bad must've happened to Honoka in the past if she's napping and going all yandere on Yuta like that. Shame that the teacher interrupted the scene though. XD

Nico's observation in this episode is also important. Her expression at the dinner table looked like she was envious or something. Same in the bath where she was happy when she checked the size of her breasts. I wonder when we get to see what's beneath the surface of Nico...

Chidori was able to lift a huge weight off her shoulders with her outburst, which helped Katsuhira become more honest abut his feelings too. This ship looks almost certain for me, so apologies to the Tenga x Chidori fans! ^^;

This episode was clichéd, but the execution of the important scenes were still pretty good. =)

characters keep on impressing and entertaining me. Maki and Yuta are awesome and they had very nice characterization. just a great couple.

Niko's stare was very curious. I think she was jealous of Yuta having such a weird diet, since she wants to be the weird one, or then she knew Yuta is actually cracking inside which is what we saw with the fridge scene.

very good episode overall imo. now the system went into another lever. they can feel eachother feelings or more specifically when they got hearbreak (?) well, something like that. and i really like it. obvious, this show will be a drama until the end. they even showed Nico like that. too obvious Nico! i know who's it xD Tenga, right ? xD

when Chidori screamed, that kinda went emotional. i really like that. and btw, LOL Momoka is so weird. i'm looking foward to see her chest btw LOL xD and i just realize something, Her VA is the one who was voice action Mikasa Mikoto from Toaru Kagaku no Railgun. i realized it when she was on top of him and shouted pretty hard xD

looking foward for the next episode.

Tenga, just end up with Chidori already. Too good wingman

Yuta pls. You too serious.

Maki is actually pretty nice, tho I guess that's a given considering the type of character she is.
And she's pretty aggressive, I like. And Yuta is actually a good guy... tho I guess we settled on that already.

Eh does Nico like Tenga or what? She seemed pretty jealous when he was praising Chidori earlier, too.
That was a pretty good hit, lol.

Chidori's straightforwardness is kinda nice. Idk what I ship anymore.

Great, the obligatory summer camp episode with its indispensable courage trial. Usually, the kind of episode I dislike the most in this type of show, this time it had some funny moments while still being boring.

My concern is still growing: do they really have time for those things at the episode 5 when the 6th (equivalent of a 12th or 13th episode in a full-length series) should see the arrival of a clearer/easier to perceive story? Here, they don't seem to realize the duration allocated to their series.
It feels like a majority of manga (not anime). The author just comes with a concept then creates more or less randomly a few characters and throw little events at them. Only after two or three volumes does he finally display a greater goal with a real scenario. But I fail to see the point in applying this method to a half-sized original TV animation. (or maybe it is like with most US series, where an author gives up a concept and a thin direction line for the beginning then multiple other ones have to fill the year(s) long broadcast)
I love Evangelion despite how "slow" it appeared to be. But upon reaching the middle, we already knew the "road planning". (= a defined goal in the story + the central thema)

Like the obvious classic horror feel.
Nico's sleep gown. She's hiding some pent up emotions & some jealousy.
New mission 'test of courage', tested that brainwaves & heartache are also shared, getting to 2nd stage?
Yandere more broken & creepy than expected, seems to hear a ghost.
Chidori some nice VAing.

What an odd taste.

He doesn't eat veggies and chicken.

I mean, veggies keep you thin right?

Or is it just because he has a picky appetite?

This show just doesn't grab me in the way that I wish it would and I think it could.

The concept is interesting......but the characters are just a little too bland. Agata, Takashiro and Sonozaki remind me A LOT of the trio from Oregairu but just aren't as compelling IMO.

Rather than watching an anime I feel like I'm playing a mediocre visual novel. I mean....I'm still going to watch this through to the end because I have some faith in Trigger....but I'm definitely not expecting to love it.
