http://www.nippon.com/en/features/h00096/ Why is there so many Japanese men x white women(Ikki x Stella is recent one), couples in anime when in real life, Japanese men hardly got laid with white women? Most foreign nationality women that marry Japanese men are actually Chinese, Korean and Philippines women but I NEVER seen Japanese men x Chinese/Korean/Philippines women couple in anime. Does Japanese men have white fetish? For the foreign husband, the only American guy x Japanese women couple I remember is Chitoge parents from Nisekoi but I don't remember seeing Korean man x Japanese woman or Chinese man x Japanese woman couple in anime. If I am a manga/LN author or creator of an anime and I want to put interracial couple characters in my work, I would either put Japanese guy x Chinese/Korean/Philippines or Japanese women x Korean/American/Chinese women since they are more common. I wonder if there will be backlash if they make an anime about Chinese/Korean man dating Japanese woman. I remember a backlash last time with Sakurasou no pet na kanojo when they include Korean dish. Yes, I know it's anime and not real but why did the Japanese decided do make it this way? |

Add to this that most foreigners from America and Europe in anime are blond (and japanese being any color except blond), and you have your answer. |

Most American women would be considered WAY WAY too fat for Japanese taste. The White Women in Anime share the same median height and weight as the japanese women in Anime. Japanese also want to have sex with Red Hair , Green Hair , Half Neko , Elf , etc. But again all of them share the same median height and weight as Japanese women. |

They're not technically a couple (as in not officially together, but the only person who doesn't ship them is Karasuma himself), but there is Karasuma (Japanese)/Irina (Eastern European) in Ansatsu Kyoushitsu. Irina very much has the hots for him anyway. Then you have Kinomoto Sakura (Japanese)/Li Shaoran (Chinese) from Cardcaptor Sakura, Kujou Kazuya (Japanese)/Victorique de Blois (European from Gosick, pretty much any ship in Negima! (Negi's English and his students are mostly Japanese), Ikari Shinji Japanese)/Asuka Langley Whatevertheydecidedhersurnameis (part? German) from Evangelion, Hiraga Saito (Japanese)/Louise Françoise Le Blanc de La Vallière (European) from Zero no Tsukaima, and that's only from what I've watched. I'm sure there are many others. The more common equivalent I can think of is human/non-human (usually demon). This seems to be considered kind of the same as interracial in anime to me, at least? |

Race-mixing is degeneracy as is, and doesn't need any further coverage on TV. If anything, then Japanese anime should be thanked for its emphasis on family values and harmonious relationships. A child born in a mixed family is more likely to have trouble finding their own identity, and some mixed couples are more likely to end up in a divorce than non-mixed couples which in turn can cause psychological harm to the children. Non-mixed couples are also less likely to come from vastly different cultures, so the offspring have an easier time adopting the cultural values from their parents. |

PS.: saying that something is 'old-fashioned' is a poor counter-argument, since in the past people still needed to be smart and practical to ensure the survival of their kin. Lack of interracial couple in anime is a serious issue that needs to be talked about. Let Japan know that International Fans have buying power too, and can easily revoke that if they only cater their products for a domestic audience. Americans should make their own Anime and stop relying on stuff from that Rising Sun Land if they don't make any changes to cater to a global market. |
I frown at recent installments of Persona and Trails of Cold Steel that introduce harem-like elements in the story. We need more JRPGs like the past Lunar series, where there are multiple romantic pairings in the party other than for the protagonist and main heroine. |

I'd like to see more interracial couples in anime. Otherwise, we ought to make our own with such themes and plot. |
