| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Hmm in terms of action, I think the show works quite well in that respect. Meh, the story feels loose and I think the pacing is odd for this episode. Although with the flashbacks, it did move forward a bit with characterization. Midori seems like a friendly girl but they are still not getting to the truth of the Divine Gate yet. Maybe a bit too early still but there's a feel of it. I'm guessing the idea of the Divine Gate granting wishes also has a heavy price to pay when it emphasized on the 'spirited away' part. That cliffhanger though.  |

| Now this is the type of art and animation that you should do for the action scenes Pierrot, not that mess like last week This episode focused on Midori thus completing the backstories info dump for our main trio and unlike Aoto and Akane, hers was pretty mild although I kinda have mixed feelings in regards to what her friend did Arthur and the Knights of Round plus Loki and Oz were my favorite things about this episode and I'm really looking forward to seeing them get more screentime and likewise with that other team that Midori and the gang hung out with in this episode |

But wait...isn't the girl knitting their boss walks past in the beginning Elena? Does Midori just not know she's there or...? Looks like even MORE backstory revelations are coming. |
| I don't know why, but since I don't really sympathize with the characters, I was super bored at Midoris flashback... I had to giggle though at the scene where they had this surprise party and Aoto was super unexcited :D But how did Elena even reach the Divine Gate so easy? |

| Oh god please stop. I've had enough of that Shinji narrator and Aoto's tulpa. The episode was pretty dull but at least we're done with the backstories because I'm more interested in the other characters like Arthur, Loki and Oz. |

| I really don't like that Ghost-boy, he's like a walking Spoiler. Telling EVERYTHING that's supposed to be a Mystery. Can't he do that AT LEAST at the end of the Episode? |

| Really tired of that little kid. He doesn't seem very relevant. Other than that, I found Oz and Ginji to be the only interesting thing this episode. Oz just seems like a character that finally isn't annoying, and Ginji's ability doesn't look like an element, which everyone else so far has. It has a nice sound effect too. They talk about the Gate a lot more this episode, but I feel like all of that would have been much better if they at least gave a tiny explanation of what it was at the start of the first episode. Maybe mention that it's a sort of myth, something that's said to only be seen by the "chosen" ones or whatever. |

I've dropped this series for temporary, but not too sure will pick it up again and continue, didn't watch Episode 3, but waiting for reply for my first question. Because having a bit of romance might spark my interest or something like that. And for the first question if it is yes then, who is love interest of whom.... |

| I thought it was funny how Midori was able to get past the police so easily. Seriously, she's a little girl, just go after her rather than standing by yelling "hey, stop." Well her backstory didn't really invoke any feelings from me (I'm assuming that was the goal). And that little kid who talks to Aoto is kind of annoying. What's even the point of him? Anyway, the art/animation continues to be the only decent thing about this anime so far. |

| Midori's backstory was boring. I guess that girl who appears at the ending with her is her friend. I'm more interested in the group of the other three guys (Ginji and that two girls) and the subplot of Arthur than in the main trio. Btw, nice Akira Ishida. |

| Probably the best episode of the series so far, I guess. Animations were definitely better, but this anime is still cliche and unnecessarily melodramatic as hell. 3/5 |

| Pros: Art and animation are beautiful Gate seems kinda interesting Cons: bland/generic stories generic fight scenes If the art was bad I probably would have dropped it by now |

| Eh, I didn't expect much from Midori's past, but it was worse than I thought it would be. lol More info about the Gate, and Midori's fight with Ginji was ok. I'm a little mad that they didn't give enough focus to Hikari/Yukari/Ginji, I mean, they ARE part of the main cast. ._.' Oz finally here, and Lancelot already mad with Arthur LOL Still waiting for Aoto to get his 6* mode. 3/5. |

| This has to be the most melodramatic anime ever created. Are we sure Okada Mari didn't write this one? Reminds me of Black Rock Shooter, when that girl went insane over macaroons. I wish that ghost kid would go away. He's terrible. |
