I'm only referring to when a female character cries or relies on another character. People started screaming ''bad writing'' ''sexism'' ''bad female character'' but in the same show a male character would have the same situation and at most people will just call him whiny and annoying. There is also the comments on how there always have to show diversity in race of the characters, and their gender. Irregardless of the story and what it's trying to do. Calling something ''sexist'' is not a valid or rather relevant criticism especially when most of the time people are claiming it over trivial reasons like difference in strength between both genders in the story. It's a different case however if somehow the work message was clearly sexist on purpose, which rarely happens. This is mostly in US. With all the PC bullshit. And how they can't handle different cultures. |
