| Finally after S1 re-watch, which i finished yesterday (i just had to do it because i didn't remember many things from it, and i hate not remembering things from prequels when watching sequels), i had a chance to finish this episode.God damn how much i missed Durarara - still one of my favourite supernatural series. This is going to be a wild ride guys.Now if they gave us Baccano S2 i would probably start bleeding but yeah. Can't believe i see some people complaining tho...and there are some who complain and didn't even finish S1, is this some kind of joke? ._. oh no wait! it's MAL <33 so yeah, hype. | i remember so little of the first season. i watched the dub too which makes me consider rewatching the sub because everyone's voice is divine in cmparison to the stuff i remembr. still. i liked how the characters haven't changed much because i ultimately remember their personalities just none of the plot so i'll see how much i can follow along. lmao. nice opening episode though, celty was always the most bamf character so it's great they got my attention with her. :3 |

I loved every minute of it because it's Durarara!! and it's so awesome to get a new episode after 5 years, but honestly, it could have been handled better. One thing that comes to mind is the conversation between Izaya and Namie, which is just clunky, poorly disguised exposition. Gonna have disagree with that so called objective analysis" chief. It's been 5 freaking years and most people remember jack all about the first season. This was not only absolutely necessary but it handle the best way it could have. Just because don't mind being confused doesn't means other do. And exposition was no way near where clunky nor poor disguised. All of it from news about serial killer to an interview on Shizuo's celebrity brother were done in a complete natural fashion like you would see in real life. Izaya and Namie never even said anything that could be considered exposition unless count making fun her obsession like he always some really weird definition of exposition. |

| It's a little hard getting back into it after all this time (probably should have done a rewatch of the first to refresh memory) but overall, it's good to be back. |
| It's great watching this series again. Man, that's a lot of new characters to remember now after watching the OP given the recurring cast is already vast. Heck, I already forgot some of them. OP sequence is catchy as always. ED is ok. Still loved that non-linear storytelling. So much to say about this episode but overall, it was a good re-introduction of the characters. |

| Damn, it's back! OP's awesome as always and ED reminds me of Season 1's first ED. I just love the OP's transitions and how they introduce the characters. Hmm, new characters include Kururi, Mairu, Max Sandshelt, and Emilia. Dem references. Lol, News 666 introduces Hollywood. I am so hyped! Can't wait for more to come! |

| Oh man so ... I have a feeling this is not gonna be as enjoyable as the first season :S Don't remember too many of the characters except for the mains, but looks like there will be some new ones as well. One thing I didn't remember was how ANNOYING many of their voices are ... like holy crap. Though I can recognize more of them now XD Pretty chaotic episode, I have a feeling they just wanted to show the previous cast before doing more introductions. So this episode was kinda boring/"meh" IMO. Seems like they will be focusing on new charas + the murderer next episode hopefully! Didn't really like the OP that much; ED was better, but the vocals were too auto-tuned for my liking >_< Overall, I feel like I was so much younger when I watched the first season I greatly overrated it ... then again, I remember not liking the entire second half. Plus now so many of my non-ships are canon ... blagh, I hope I can still enjoy this season :S |
| Damn that Celty body examination. Celty is love so a full episode of her troubles was very nice for a start. That little scream she made when she saw the cop behind her was so cute. Also her shy body reactions while talking to her mama, lol. How did she manage to lose her money after putting them in there and zipping up is beyond me. It sure wasn't the best day for her. |
| Started this one late. Miyuki Sawashiro <3 I'm terribly disappointed that best boy didn't get any screen time this episode. Looking forward to more. |

The OP wasn't impressive, but at least the ED was likeable. There was one particular scene that I liked - the one at the end where Mikado reminisced about his first day in the city - it was enough to make me score the episode 4/5. I do hope the season won't be a letdown though. P.S. If I liked anything else about the episode, it was that Dotachin picked up Index as well. Way to go! |

| Well, it was a pretty good first episode. I'm glad they gave us some *previously on* scenes, since Ive honestly completely forgotten what happened in the first season lol. Also the new characters seem pretty interesting, especially the *Hollywood* murderer. |

| Finally I had the time to start this. I loved Durarara for it's complexity, so I expect the same from this too. It was a nice start, the flashbacks appeared at the right time. Celty is still a great character. |

| ooo I may be late but at least I can marathon this. Anyway like this show, I too didn't change. I still think Celty is the main heroine (and she's incredibly hot too and damn that voice is just..) and Mikado's the protagonist. But I don't ship those two though. Not matter how they are all main character's, no matter how many points of view I see, I still can't help but choose a favorite also, I'm still a bit confused. Been almost 2 years since I finished season 1 |
