| One of the worst starts to an anime season ever? What do you think? This is the first time I've ever dropped 3 shows so early into a season, I'm not someone who's watched a great deal of anime which makes it even worse that the generic, bland and archetypal characters this season are so apparently abundant. The clones are so abundant two series this season had identical first episodes (Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry/Gakusen Toshi Asterisk) and Taimadou Gakuen 35 Shiken Shoutai similarly had archetypal one dimensional characters. Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron Blooded Orphans I've had mixed feelings about, I honestly have no idea what to think of it yet because I see allot of potential but after only 2 episodes I have quite a few complaints about it as well. The series is 25 episodes and is being directed by Tatsuyuki Nagai so anything could happen but if anything does remains to be seen. I haven't even bothered watching Comet Lucifer based on it's ratings and have yet to watch One Punch Man (which I'm not worried about cause MadHouse). Seems like this season is all about the sequels, if you haven't seen the first seasons you're pretty rekt. But if you have (unlike myself) you can rejoice in Owarimonogatari, K: Return of Kings, Haikyuu S2 and Noragami Aragoto. As for the plebs like myself, well, there's always Sakurako-san no Ashimoto ni wa Shitai ga Umatteiru, now I shall watch One Punch Man, cross my fingers and return to the obscurity of anime seasons past to enjoy older shows like Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun which has been more enjoyable than any anime I've seen this season. |

Yeah there seems to be a distinct lack of quality the past few seasons in general but idunno, past seasons have at least managed to capture my interest, granted it was lost along the way but this season has felt particularly weak right out of the gate. |

Much better than the last season Idunno, I actually enjoyed GATE and Prison School from the previous season, though GATE really wasn't anything special before episode 7 it picked up near the end and it had quite a few pop culture references to other anime and other media in general I really appreciated. Prison School had a couple of really funny jokes and it didn't rehash jokes abundantly like Charlotte, it also wasn't just your typical one liners but had events lead up to the punch lines over a number of episodes, I found the execution to be really well done. I just haven't found anything special about this season (yet). |

People take anime too seriously in all the wrong ways. Not everything has to be a tip-top 2deep4u journey into the human condition. Cavalry and 35 are fun and don't necessarily have to be anything more than that. I don't think expecting an ounce of originality is expecting deep storytelling, the problem is Michael Bay films are only fun for so long, once you get to Transformers 4 you feel like bashing your head against a wall. The problem is the constant rehashing and retelling of the same story with the same character archetypes. It gets blend and you stop caring for the characters and the events, you get bored and then it really just isn't fun anymore, and the ratings of the aforementioned shows reflect that. People aren't having fun anymore. |
| Yes, there's a lot of great animes non-season you could watch. Also I disagree with you and I don't think that animes seasons are that bad. Especially this season, there's a lot I'm currently watching and I find them pretty good actually. People should really try to learn how to stop complaining to enjoy a bit more... But that's just your opinion of course. |

Not that it means much since Asterisk is also pretty similar to Seirei Tsukai no Blade Dance which came out 2 years earlier. |

These people have thousands of posts, are very familiar with the rules and regardless of that their first reaction is to spam because someone has an opinion they don't agree with and find pointless, so they react by sharing a pointless opinion interjecting in a conversation they have no interest in, why not just let the people who want to discuss it have their discussion? |
