(2015/*3/20) No Data **. **,*** Doamaiger D (2015/*5/27) [DVD] I think you need to put a note in saying this is including the G4U game BD bundle (which did 24,341), because it clearly isn't only BD+DVD sales. Also, Gundam Origin should probably not be in this list, since it is an OVA series rather than a TV anime. Aldnoah.Zero 2 is missing from this list, which did 7,990 in 6 weeks of sales. The number for Yuri Kuma Arashi is out of date. It is at 1,310 after DVD sales became known due to newer lower bounds in the Oricon extended lists. Military! is also out of date, as it is now at 552 after 3 weeks of sales. Doamaiger D did between 146 and 162 DVDs. So it should be set to its lower bound of 146. Too bad stock issues (the regular edition is now temporarily out of stock at Amazon and is clearly the one most are buying now) prevented it from hitting 100K in week 2. Same problem with the 1st collection, which usually ships every 7 to 10 days on Amazon, and is clearly the edition most now buy. Could've pulled higher numbers than this in week 126. |

RMisaka said: It's a real shame that Akatsuki no Yona is on 19 position!! I want a new season T_T You should look at the sales rather than the rank. The rank is only a formality of which anime make the cut-offs for inclusion into today's preliminary BD and DVD list. Akatsuki no Yona Vol.1 has sold at least 4,011 after 2 weeks. This is pretty average sales, but the good thing is that the anime has done its job of advertising the source material (the manga saw a boost in sales). As long as the production committee thinks that a sequel can provide further boosts to the manga, then it should have a decent chance of getting a sequel. EDIT: I looked at the Oricon BD extended list, Akatsuki no Yona Vol.1 is now sitting between 2,018 and 2,030 BDs. It means it sold 198 to 210 BDs this week. Rank 120 sold 193, so it may or may not make it into the BD100 list on Thursday/Friday for a more precise BD number. That brings the total to 4,011~4,023 after 2 weeks. |

Not much to comment on the anime front. Poor sales for Absolute Duo which is a shame as ti was a jolly good show, can understand it though since people only have so much to spend. Still glad to see Shirobako in the top 10. And Uta Prince doing quite well in the CD section. Good for the fans of course. |

Goddang, Aikatsu just prints money! Kind of thankful it's so popular, since the only thing that even comes close is Love Live.. Shirobako's still hanging in there, too. Great stuff. |

i love seeing ppl complain about what the japanese buy with their money while ur all leeching from another culture. anime isnt made for the west but for the ppl who want to spend x-amount of yen overall it was a slow week and next week is even more boring, cant wait to see how the spring anime sell (avoiding stalkers/estimates since they are never accurate) |

j0x said: just look at that idol anime sales, japan loves their animated/virtual pop stars too much It's a movie, but still kids anime normally don't do that well at all in disc sales be it TV, OVA, or Movie. Idol anime is a little too much of an easy sales option for sure, though only for the Bamco idols. Wake Up Girls never did all that well that I'm aware. Nachtwandler_21 said: On the other note I feel bad for Plastic Memories, Punchline and Pleiades but it's just my personal opinion. Yeah my whole Aniplex titles always sell well regardless theory doesn't hold up as well this season. Then again outside of the awful Gunslinger Stratos, PM and Punchline are originals so that might have something to do with it. What amazes me the most about their titles this season is that Denpa Kyoushi seems to have been miscalculated so badly that even an event ticket with Kamiya Hiroshi and Rena Matsui (mainstream pop idol from SKE48 who seems to have been cast solely for that purpose since she can't voice act) can't seem to get it to go. It's just apparently been deemed that rotten. I don't know overall it just feels like suddenly the buying audience in Japan has actual standards this season and are largely picking the shows that are making the most of themselves genre/premise wise rather than just what looks nicest or has the hottest girls/guys (Utapri aside) and it's kind of interesting to see play out for once. I don't expect it to career over, but if it ever did it would really challenge the bigger producers to do better which I think everyone would benefit from in the long run. |

At this rate, Akatsuki no Yona will never get a second season and it will end in that cliff hanger forever. Sell your Blurays to my country already! |

rederoin said: Denpa Kyoushi is a day-time show, I don't think they ever gave a shit about BD sales. Its low sales where expected. So are Gintama, Aikatsu, Nanatsu and Yokai Watch, albeit very special exceptions. If they didn't expect at least something to happen with the discs anyway though why put Kamiya and Matsui in there and then add an event ticket? It just seems like literally the quality was so bad that even then the fans decided to take a pass this time. Personally I think that's a good thing if it holds up as producers really shouldn't be allowed to put out what pretty much is universally agreed upon to be an outright crap poorly bordering on embarrassingly produced anime and then dangle event tickets for Kamiya to profit anyway. It severely diminishes the value of anime itself in general and would make it almost kind of a secondary concern. Bolstering a product people already want with extras and early bird bonuses to convince people who might be on the fence is one thing, making event ticket pack-in your actual incentive makes it look like you don't give a fuck. I realize as I'm saying this that UtaPri is doing exactly that this season but Fujoshi gonna Fujoshi and it's probably the least worst looking A-1 show this season going by clips. Baby steps. Tenshi_Shura said: At this rate, Akatsuki no Yona will never get a second season and it will end in that cliff hanger forever. Sell your Blurays to my country already! Shows don't always have to sell some magic Blu-Ray number to get a second season. They can do so because the publisher of the source sees an incentive for it to because it's helping the overall profile of the show. Sometimes people look at those Blu-Ray prices and just decide to buy the manga or merchandise instead. Aikatsu as an example has largely subsisted off of merchandise sales and will probably get indefinite followups at this rate. Chihayafuru managed to get another season despite awful disc sales and everyone doubting it because the manga performed really well after it aired. Likewise something like Horizon on the Middle of Nowhere Second Season can do 20K sales and have the studio just walk away from a third season, albeit it has a lot to do with that studio having a show come out immediately after that it's owns the rights too that is pretty much the most popular anime thing around at the moment, but that just goes to show you there are other factors than just raw disc sales like scheduling. |

But its common knowdeldge that daytime shows get most of their profit from other sources. It is getting decent tv ratings, afterall. |

It shame that one of the best anime in last season, Akatsuki no Yona, get low sales On other hand, a slice of life crap with school settings like Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata get good sales. Every season we get many similar anime to this generic crap. Plastic Memories sales is also disappointing. |
