I'm pretty sure this is a good choice for the non-human one: http://myanimelist.net/anime/589/Ginga_Nagareboshi_Gin

Would this also count as "Watch an anime within the top 500 you've never heard of" if i heard of it a couple of weeks ago?

Unless you have a specific recommendation for a shorter one that should be more popular.

haha, that's also true. well, one i would recommend is mai-hime, and it would also fit the challenge criteria (no pink in the cover picture).

Hey, I never heard of that one before. Great, I'll use it for the top 500 challenge since I already have Chirin no Suzu (very recommendable btw!) for the non-human one.

Thanks, but I think I just got accidentally spoilered about that one on Tvtropes when I was looking for some non-pink mahou shoujo titles -.-.
I'll keep it in mind though. The 1-cour ones I found are more likely to end up being watched by me though :>.

Why not, doubt I'll try too hard to complete it but I'll fill it as I go, might give me some incentive to watch some shows I have been meaning to watch too, will stay off this thread too, like the idea of finding them myself.
Should have something like "finish an anime you dropped", ""rewatch something", "rewatch all your favorites", "watch an anime raw", "watch something with 3+ seasons", "watch a 2h+ movie", "watch a 100 episodes series", stuff like that.
"Roll a dice and watch that amount of shorts films/whatever in a row", give me random stuff.

Guys, humanoid just means "shaped like a human".

So if the story focuses on characters that are shaped like humans, whether or not they actually are human, it doesn't count.

Isn't this kinda pointless when you have a challenge for no VAs? Should I hate myself for listening to these voices or does just being neutral work? Either way, I watched Spirits of the Past and I'd love to strangle just about every VA that worked on it so I guess that counts.

Oh. I was wrong. lulz

The Iron Ring is a ring worn by many Canadian-trained engineers, as a symbol and reminder of the obligations and ethics associated with their profession. From a concept originated in 1922,[1] the ring is presented to graduates in a closed ceremony known as The Ritual of the Calling of an Engineer,[2][3] developed with the assistance of English poet Rudyard Kipling.[2]

The ring symbolizes the pride which engineers have in their profession, while simultaneously reminding them of their humility. The ring serves as a reminder to the engineer and others of the engineer’s obligation to live by a high standard of professional conduct. It is not a symbol of qualification as an engineer – this is determined by the provincial and territorial licensing bodies.[4]
Congratulations. I'm proud of you.

Boxing, Baseball and Tennis have been established as legitimate for the sports one so far.

Watch something like Aoi Bungaku for the literary adaption one.

Good question. I've wondered about that as well, but then just decided to watch The Wind Rises and not nitpick about that challenge since I already nitpicked about a bunch of others ^^.
