Characters & Voice Actors
The story is not original. Period. But if you are the type of person who likes shoujo/slice of life/ cute girls/ fulfilling dream anime, watch this one. The story progressively gets better, a bit boring at first, but after....oops almost gave something away. Just trust me when I say it gets better.
The art was pretty good (I have high stardards, if I don't like the art, I don't watch it). They could have worked on the 3-D part a bit more though.
I would've given the music/sound a 10/10, but the beginning music was too repetitive. In fact, the beginning episodes in general was repetitive. The background music, their show music, is all incredible though.
I've met many characters like the main characters in this story in other anime/mangas, but that didn't stop me from loving them. Some of the supporting characters, like Kaname and Rhythm's mother, make the story more interesting for me.
Again, I would have given this full points if it weren't for the repetitive-ness of the beginning episodes. Other than that, it was thoroughly enjoyable. I had my eyes flued to the screen for the last few episodes.
I like it. It may not be original, but at least it kept me wanting more, and I enjoyed it. And that's all that matters.
Remember, this is just my own opinion. You are completely entitled to your own and don't have to agree with me. read more
To start off, I am male who is supposed to love stuff like Death Note and Bleach.
But I DON"T because I LOVE cute anime.
Back when the anime subtitling was stalled at episode 4, I was thinking about writing this review. Thank God I didn't because the anime has gotten better since then.
There is a good mix of themes: fashion, ice skating, dance, music, and a bit of love.
It's a happy lucky girl story.
The only bad thing I have to say about the art is the 3D/CG effects aren't that good.
Around episode 4, I was about to trash the sound score. I love "You May Dream" by LISP but it was getting annoying how it was being used for every performance. But since episode 4, there were 3 new songs and Callings finally gets to perform live. I thought they were going to be a stupid ice skating boy band but the song was actually good. Both theme songs are happy and cute, which I personally love.
It sucks how Mion hasn't met Aira and Rhythm yet and she seems like she's a b**** but I'm sure she'll turn around. It also sucks how Rhythm has that name in the first place. It's kind off cliche. Rhythm has more jumps but she IS the better dancer and love affects her more. Despite all that, they, especially Aira, are cute and funny.
I don't get it but I love this anime. I wouldn't do the anime justice if I just summed it up and said the anime was cute. It's more than that...
Pretty Remake Complete
Almost the exact same storyline. The only main difference is one is about becoming Idols and another is figure skating.
Both anime have the seem feeling. They are both about becoming idols. Also they the same "special effect" when you perform well on the stage.
Both are about idols
Both have a school for idols (starlight and pretty top)
Both have popular idols they look up to (callings and kanzaki mizuki)
Both know absolutely nothing about idols and the entertainment world before they started their idol career
Both have a certain type of item used for clothes (prism stone and aikatsu cards)
Both have 3 members in the team and the last member who is more experienced in the entertainment field and is often difficult to talk to at first but opens up over time (mion and ran)
almost everything is the same so if u like one of it, u will surely like the other as well
both have main girls that know almost nothing about the idol world
both have already popular idols (boys+crush) helping them when needed
