Almost the exact same storyline. The only main difference is one is about becoming Idols and another is figure skating.

there are 3 girls who dances and sing, but pretty rhythm is on ice. there's magic, though not as much as lilpri, and the dance art is similar. they also have animal guardians! the 3 girls also has their own color(purple, pink, and blue) and has 51 episodes

This anime is a reverse harem anime about a girl who loves fashion. She goes threw trials as she helps every girl unleash their potential of being beautiful. The main character has struggles but also a love interest.

If you've seen one, you'll like the other. Although Pretty Rhythm is newer, they are very similar because both share the same ideas about severity in the entertainment world. I consider Pretty Rhythm to be the new generation Glass Mask (Aurora Dream exclusively). The reason is because Pretty Rhythm's backstory is exactly the same as Glass Mask but left unfinished (I haven't finished Glass Mask but I assume it ended properly), and the main characters are left to close that story. The reason why I like Glass Mask was because the previous generation of idols in Pretty Rhythm in which they mirror the Glass Mask characters,  read more

These aren't your average girls. They come from the ocean but it isn't long before they are idol-like figures in the world. Both have young teen girls who are trying to find their way. Both have great/catchy music and an interesting plot-line. Also, the girls are all idols essentially just in this show. If you liked this anime, exspecially the music, I highly recommend this to be something to test the waters on.

It's similar that the characters want to become the best like jewelstar/prism queen with a contest (sry if something wrong with the sentence).

It has idols and magic. The difference is in Pretty Rhythm they don't fight evil.

Both about girls reaching their goals/dreams. They have a similar feel when watching, except that Pretty Rhythm: Aurora Dream is more girly. Both have their own mini guardian that helps them.

They are both Animes about girls who are unknowingly thrown into show business.. Both shows include music aswell as dancing. Bought contain Romance, Comedy, Dramatic moments aswell as the simillar feeling as they both are Shoujo animes.. In the show Pretty Rhythm there will be some 3D animated moments aswell as in Kirarin Revolution where the last episodes of the show was all in the 3D format. They are both really fashionable and will deal with potential real-life problems.. Both shows are truly enjoyable as they both contain moments who will make you laugh and captivate you.. The shows are directed more at the kids level,  read more

They both somehow revolve around ice skating allthough Pretty Rythm is a Shoujo anime, so it includes a little lighter atmosphere than Ginban Kaleidoscope does.. as the shows goes on you will get a good amount of romance from them both.. Both shows are amazing, If you have seen one you should check out the other.. If you haven't seen either, Check them out.. Both Include. * Romance * Sports/Ice * Comedy Both shows comes of with a quick and locking start.. You'll just want to keep on watching once you experience these two shows..

When I first started watching Aikatsu Stars, the Pretty Rhythm show came to mind. It is quite similar with Aikatsu Stars, singing and Pretty Rhythm, figure skating.

Cute 3D-animated girls are dancing. Both are stories of becoming a star during hard training.

A clumsy girl having a dream of entering the stage and being able to do so on the first day, without any experience, because the girl supposed to do the performance, is unable to. The 'manager' decides that she is the perfect girl for the job, just by the experience of earlier, coincidentally running in to her on the street and seeing her 'do her thing' there. He overrules the female authority in order to get her to the stage, since she is not happy about having a newbie do the stage performance.
