| Terrorists as protagonists? While this sort of thing happens in the Middle East or some developing countries all too frequently, I do wonder how the reception would be if some of the more mainstream press catches wind of this. As for the episode itself, it was ok. Its only been one episode so not much to go on other than the whole comparison to mass shootings in the US or 9/11. Don't really know much about what motivates these two other than inference as being former research experiments and the like fighting against regular society. |
| Wow it's like watching a movie. Definitely a masterpiece candidate right here. Fantastic animation, art, and background music. Characters are interesting too.. I wonder if this'll be a cat and mouse game like Death Note. |

| Incredibly good so far. The animation is stunning. The OST and OP/ED songs are beautiful. I hope this stays as amazing as this first episode was. |
| The potential for this seems infinite. The high school setting/teenager protagonists might prevent others from viewing it in the same light as Bebop or Champloo although if it's a masterpiece anything is possible. |
| This is awesome! The animation was great. I have no problem with the characters looking pale. Looks unique imo. The two MC's are already giving me curiosity on who they really are. They look like terrorists with a reasonable purpose. Anyway, what an awesome first episode. I hope that the other episodes will always be like this. |

| It was good imho, I'd say it has potential. There's still room to fuck it up, but I trust Shinichiro Watanabe. And Yoko Kanno did a great job again, and I don't think everything from her is pure gold. |
| Looks pretty awesome. The characters' backstories are already starting to unravel and damn how good was that snow mobile scene? Can't believe this will only be 11 episodes though :( |

| VON hmmm... oh look, a grenade to stop the gate from closing. That snowmobile escape reminded me of Call of Duty lol. Twelve seems like a really happy and funny guy, while Nine is serious. LOL, Twelve and Nine on YouTube! XD Ohooo, they really mean business. Everyone has smartphones it seems. Nooooo, why throw your food in the toilet?! Hmm, institution you say... I guess that's where they were raised and probably even experimented on. Damn... Twelve looked so scary when he gave Lisa that Kururin toy or w/e it's called. I guess those toys go KABOOM! XD Kill her in an instant? That's some serious shit you're saying Twelve... not like it matters since they're destroying the building lol. Wohooo! Become an accomplice Lisa! Ohooo, really cool bike you have there Twelve. For a first episode it was really nice, the characters are still in the process of developing I'd say, the story about them being terrorist is also refreshing (at least to me) and I can't wait to see how things go on from now. |

| If there is something that is close to perfection this season, it is this! Hooks you in, establishes the basis of the characters and then goes along a simple, yet already complicated plot. If it keeps this up and gets to a point and even to a psychological level, it will be up there with Ping Pong for AoTY. |

| Man this looks like a dark horse for best anime of the season. This episode is exactly how a first episode should be. it starts right off in some action then after the op we get the introduction of the main characters and then quickly the plot moves forward towards the finish of the ep with the terrorist bombing. Also adding in the OP is good. the Animation quality is spot on too. I can firmly say even if this anime turns out to be amazing it wont air on toonami in the US |

| i was kinda expecting it but this first episode was pretty good :) i like the art cause it's different from the usual drawing in other show's, and the op and ed are nice, however not memorable this is going to be one of the best show's this season, it felt really fast and i can't wait for next week's episode |

| Great first episode. Not a big fan of the Op to be honest, but i guess that'll just grow on me. I'm liking the setting for this, I think Lisa is a charcter that i'll be caring for throughout this show (hopefully she doesn't get bad development). I like Hisami, Aarata seems like a cool character also. Aimer doing the ending <3 Hopefully we'll learn the motives of both the main characters in the coming episodes :) |

| That opening is great not other than that the episode started out really dark and ended really promising . Too me it got's that Coppelion feeling and Death Note Nine, Arata looks actually a bad ass but twelve ,Koji looks sinister the scene when he happen to find Lisa in the stares was creepy ,but I like it. Didn't it seem like black mail ?! I kinda hinted that, also Twelve seems like the ring leader I mean None followed his orders. Or they just both trust eachother. Either way Lisa doesn't seem like the annoying girl type ,thank goodness. But I sure wish her the best. |

| Aimer and Galileo for OP/ED combo? Yusssss! Best. Anyway, very strong first episode. OST is fantastic, atmosphere is too. Seems like this will be my Sidonia of the summer season - a serious show with mind boggling events and awesome directing. HERE WE GO! :') |

| This screams AOTS from every frame BUT, it's still too soon to judge. As a first episode, Aldnoah impressed me much more but who knows. Anyway, the OP and the ED are simply beautiful. |
