Sure. But I must warn you. I saw the first episode of the English dub of Moomins God, it's so bad, and NOT because it's a British and nineties dub, either! Most of the voices don't fit (the worst being the characters Snork, Sniff, and Little My), and some of the acting is really stiff!

Oh well thank you! (:
I appreciate your feedback.
Firechick12012 Mar 8, 2014 4:44 PM
Yeah, it has 104 episodes (counting Bouken Nikki), but the English dub only made it to episode 52. I don't know why.
Firechick12012 Mar 8, 2014 4:43 PM
You're welcome. The show actually has 104 episodes but the English dub only made it to 52 for some reason. Here's hoping Discotek will sweep it up for a license. It's actually based on a series of Finnish-Swedish children's books (there are eight total, and yes, you can find them all on Amazon). I know the author's name is Tove Jansson.

If you like it, that's okay. Everybody has their likes and dislikes, and I try not to judge people based on their taste in things unless I have good reason to do so.

By the way, if you're looking for a children's anime that's cute, sweet, and charming that'll calm you down after a long work day, I highly recommend Tanoshii Moomin Ikka, or Fun Moomin Family. It's about a family of creatures who hang out with their friends and go on various adventures. It's super sweet! But only the first 19 episodes are subbed (Here's where you can download them:, though the first 52 episodes are dubbed in British English and can be found on YouTube.

Meh, I checked the episode out, and the acting is kinda stiff. Narcia and Hyuu just sound weird, and GamiGami doesn't sound nearly as hammy and energetic as the Japanese version.

I was say you saw the Portuguese dub of Popolocrois when it aired in Brazil. What was it like? Were the voices good? Bad?
Firechick12012 Mar 1, 2014 4:35 AM
I'm glad you liked it! I felt the same way when I saw it too (only I didn't see Grave of the Fireflies until later, and that was because a college class I took at another school made us watch that and another movie for an assignment)!

Glad to hear you enjoyed it! ^^

I personally like the English dub of the movie mainly because the casting was perfect in every way. Some voices in the Japanese version sounded kinda off, and the dub improved on it in every way. And be prepared to grab a massive box of tissues.

Wow, thanks. I'm glad you liked it!
I will be working on Part 2 next week so expect its release soon :)

I'm so happy you liked it! I certainly liked it too. If you're interested, I know another beautiful but sad masterpiece of a film the Japanese made. It's called The Dog of Flanders. You can watch the English version here:

I love the heck out of it. In fact, it's number 3 on my top favorite anime of all time!
Firechick12012 Feb 12, 2014 2:17 PM
Okay! I'll be glad to recommend lots of anime to you if you're interested, because I have a bunch!

And please do watch Happy Birthday! It may be a little bit on the melodramatic side, but it doesn't hurt the movie in any way, and more anime need to tackle the issues it does!

Super Dimensional Century Orguss is the answer, everytime. Yup.

Thanks, and of course! I'd love to be your friend! I'm always looking for new anime loving friends. Glad you love Remi and Dog of Flanders! But do be warned, when it comes to tear jerkers, they do NOT mess around!
