| Creepy ... I mean, I know I've seen this already but the way Kyubey was there just as Sayaka saw Kyousuke hurting himself ... grah! Sad stuff, I hope that Sayaka's all right after what she's done and that she did it for the "right reasons" Mami talked about. I doubt that Kyousuke's gonna figure out she did it and be thankful though ... (he's kind of a jerk to, seriously :S) Madoka and Homura talk, so yea ... and Kyouko appears! Hehe, she's quite awesome IIRC XD |
| Since the death of Mami, the darkness that had been hinted at in bits and pieces earlier, has become all pervasive. I wonder why anyone hasn't asked why there are magical girls in the first place. With the exception of Homura, mos of the characters don't seem very smart. |

| This show is really living up to my expectations. So far very, very good. It's living up to its reputation. Shaft's animation is just unique, it fits this show so well. I can't wait for more. |

| This ep is good in showing Madoka's grief and Sayaka's motivation but that's it - other than that the show is still sort of mediocre and those battle sequences are very artistic from one point of view but very out of place and emotionless from another - as result of that they aren't as satisfactory as they could be and impact of those scenes is somehow reduced by it. I hope it will get better in next eps but my expectations of this show were way much higher from what I have heard before watching. |

Yea the fights are mostly just supposed to look awesome, but beyond seeming impressive they're pretty hollow. Maybe it's because I watch a lot of Magical Girl shows, but I'm used to the fights having more emotion in them. The show seems to have a love affair with the cliche "Last second rescue". Where a character is seconds away from doom and then out of nowhere a hero emerges and saves the day. They also tend to wipe the floor with the witches in such quickness that said witches are only memorable for who's heads they bite off. Agreed, as cool as the battles scenes and the setting may look like, I don't feel very excited watching it. I heard Shaft was known for being different, and I see that now. I guess it's okay in this case because I think it's the themes that are more important, at least that's the main praise I hear for this anime, how Urobuchi is a great scriptwriter. But I think I would be able to enjoy this more if it was directed by someone else since I'm not too entirely fond of the direction. Anyways, we finally see one of them decide to make a contract. I wonder how Kyousuke will react to his hand being better??? o_o not sure if he looked happy or just shocked/suspicious. If he isn't happy about it, that would be too tragic for Sayaka since she became a mahou shoujo for him. Hopefully that's not the case. And that girl at the end...I don't think things are looking good for Sayaka. I like her outfit and power though. |

| Wow, Urobuchi Gen really does know how to make a good story. I hope it's just as good as Saya no Uta, I can already see it's becoming dark, even if this anime doesn't have any H scenes like that VN does, I sure hope it gets as gorey and as dark too. Good episode 5/5 |

| (3rd time watching) I always thought this witch was Kirsten... but other information is telling me it's P.N.Elly ... I really should look this stuff up one of these days... Sayaka ftw! I didn't like her much the first time I watched. But after seeing it already, she's awesome! |

And the narrative "Now that i think about it, back then, i still didn't know anything; just what i meant to wish for a miracle, and what it would cost." OMG WOOO! That put a smile on my face. Then I couldn't help but think that she would later regret her decision or get killed or something along those lines... Haha, I love this. I really like this one OST... it sounds like a mix of .hack//Sign and a bit like Pandora Hearts And wow, Mahou Shoujos are so disposable in this series xD it seems they have the lowest standard of life |

| Wow I'm loving this series. I'm 100 percent sure Madoka's wish will bring Mami back to life. Otherwise I don't see how Mami would even be relevant enough to be on the cover. Also it seems like Kyubey is orchestrating all of this. How would the witch know about Madoka and Mami's conversation? |
