This series is an amazing slice of life anime.

The animations great. OPs great. ED omg STELLAR!. This is has so much depth and i love to see how Hachiken and the people around him grow up. The atmosphere of the entire show is so relaxing.

Hoping for a 3rd season despite the bad sales. 10/10

Does anyone know how well the manga and the anime has sold, as well if there's enough material for a new project? I've really enjoyed everything about Gin no Saji, so I'm sad that it has come to an end... Here's hoping for a new season!

Anime well built, it has been able to give the best episode after episode, coming up with the second season to surpass the first.
The merits of this are varied and although it is not comparable to the work on paper, the animated version is worth so much.
Too bad I did a good initial preamble of Hachiken, would have made it the occasion praying the vision of the speech of the mother on the character of Hachiken before joining Eozono.
Plot very serious and funny at the same time also, well built with no points incomprehensible, I'm sorry that it has not been adapted throughout the manga, this is a shame.
Narration usable, I would paiciuto there was more life in it daily.
Drawings and animations good, even the scenarios were not bad. Another series that can boast the studio A-1 Pictures, over that silly anime ...: P
Final rating of 8.5/10!

Really glad for S2, there were characters developments and drama and comedy and the like, but they kept the slice of life, relaxing atmosphere that this usually gives, i really loved every minute of it. Willing to wait for an S3. It still kept reminding me how rewarding and amazing agriculture can be.

Though I was not too fond of the more standard anime tropes like the permanent cockblocking (let's call it that), the show still managed to transmit quite a few things about animals (especially lifestock), agriculture, how urban and rural life differs, goals and life situation pressure. A silver spoon isn't made to be a permanent part of a human body, after all, that'd be poisonous. And it was quite amusing. Not quite the Nichijou-level, but this isn't what Gin no saji wants to be primarily.

Still, without a third season to round things up, especially about Hachikens goals and his romance with Mikage (holy cow, what's taking them so long?), this feels quite incomplete.

The first season was brilliant and the second season is even better. I've always wanted to watch this anime because it's from the mangaka for FMA and so I knew that the story would be present well and be intriguing but this anime has surpassed my expectations, I didn't know I would get this much joy from watching this.....it's just too good.

I remember reading the first chapter of the manga when it just got scanlated and I never went back because I got preoccupied with other things and it didn't particularly hit a home run with me at the time but after watching this anime, I want to read the manga from the beginning and experience the story again.

I love this series.

Season 1's score from me is 10/10.

Season 2's score from me is also 10/10 but the 2nd season is my favourite out of the 2. :D

9/10 both seasons.
Actually, this title changed my life. I understood that life without an aim is useless. I understood that it's meaningless to afraid the physical work. I understood that without people you'll never be yourself. As I'm some kind of hikkikomori, I'll try and change my life, inspiring by this anime. May my Goddess help me.

"I don't have time to deal with teenage boy drama." Oh, Tamako. How I love thee. XD

Great final episode to a great series. Solid from the first episode to the last.

Glad Hachiken spoke to his family. That livestock speech hit home (lol), for both me and the parents (I think). His parents mean well imo, but it takes more than than to nurture a child. Hope they get a little of what he means by what he said.

His mom's a lot like Hachiken was at first. Glad they could reconnect some.

(Basically all the people and food and TEARS and baseball. ㅜㅅㅜ)

Will miss the OP and ED most of all. 9/10

9/10 once again. This show never disappoint me, it's like fresh air but at the same time like a huge wall of reality on your face, this title is one of the few that can really motivate your life, I love it and everyone should watch/read it.

Aki x Hachiken is best couple, just confess already you worthless livestock!
I will of course watch a third season when there will be enough material.
Also, thanks Arakawa.

Hmm, last part was so so, it felt like ordinary episode and Hachiken x Mikage relation still didn't go anywhere. No recognition from his father too (though it felt like real life on the other hand).

But overall this was bit better than first season - but are they even planning another one and is there enough material for it?

I still think it sucks big time that the manga was adapted in a condensed fashion, but it was handled much better than the first season. In fact, there was some really clever handling in combining several scenarios that were introduced a little more gradually in the manga. Changing the director was a good decision.

The animation was a lot better this time around too. It was hard to see the animation and art be lackluster when they were already handling the material so clunky in manner. I guess they were saving up the budget for the big emotional hitters in this season.

They did a great job in this second series with the time allotted to them. I hope there can be a third season. Arakawa-san you genius cow!!!!!!

Hachiken's speech to his parents was epic. Summed both seasons of the anime pretty well.

When they were having a mushroom eating party - Lol that guy with the rice. "Gohan!"
Roflmao at the boys force feeding Hachiken spicy stuff.

It was nice how the mom surprise visited Hachiken the way he surprise visited his parents (sort of).

Great end to the season.

This season dealt with more serious issues and toned down the comedy but it's still a relaxing and easy watch.

Just as good as the first season and then the final episode kicked it up a notch. Loved the development, the bonding... it made me feel quite fuzzy.

I certainly wish they'll continue and make a third season but in the meantime, I'll go catch up with the manga.

Poor Hachiken, that strike by Tamako was painful and getting kicked by the horse. Hahah his mom drank the men's bath yogurt.

Pretty solid episode, not much of an episode but I assume that there will be a third season or at least I hope as this for a last episode would just be awful...

All in all the pacing was just slightly better than the first season, same goes for my interest level for this anime but in general it was a nice watch.

season 3 when?

one of the flaws of many noitaminA shows is their short/split-cour seasons, leaving much to be desired when all is said and done. i enjoyed gin no saji but...22 episodes is not enough.

What's with Hachiken and "hit me"? Dude if you unknowingly did something bad to someone, just make it up for them in a different way and don't ask them to hit you. It's really cringe-worthy. But damn Tamako does not hold back lol.

Aaaaand it's over. Overall, I enjoyed this show, both season 1 and 2. I really like the comedy and the slice-of-life and chill atmosphere. And the farming and livestock, all those stuff. Though sometimes the drama is too deep that I kinda find it hard to relate to. I wish there will be a 3rd season :(

I will miss this great show so much, that it makes me cry( Really the whole 2 seasons shows us how hard life is itself and that dreams and reality sometimes are not coinciding with each other, and regardless of being forced to leave a dream you must keep in mind that "the possibilities are pretty endless"(c) so yall you could do in situation like this?- keep working hard and live...

That was a very good season with a lot of laughter and very educational. But Hachiken still has not discovered his dream, is that it for Komaba? We also dont know about Mikage's fate of her dream of working with horses. Speaking of horses this season it was more about the horses compared to last season where it was about pigs.
