The good thing about this weekly manga ranking is for me check out what I was unaware of. Lol, another manga by Oh Great! I'm expecting a strong art direction with fantastic futuristic designs, tons of fan service and a plot which eventually collapsed under its own weight for being too convoluted.

He is only doing the artwork this time but the artwork alone tells you it is Oh Great! for sure. I've been reading it in Ultrajump, it is very interesting to say the least.

Wow, never expected Aoharaido to come out on top like that. How come volume seven's released already? Isn't it five chapters per volume? Or are the scanlations not caught up yet? (Just wondering, because the scanlations are usually on par with the manga)
Wow, look at SnK's sales, that's amazing. Hopefully a second season too. (Even though we're on like the 5th episode XD)

The manga has come out like clockwork, volumes 4 last April, 5 in August, 6 in December, 7 in April, 4 months apart. Should never go by scanlations for 'release dates', people doing it for free do it when they can... some scanlators wait for the tankobons for better quality, others use the monthlies...
I had never heard any news for my hometown for many years, everything there like dell wood grass is the same except me. My grand mother also say that: The two apple do not drop and hit at one head.
Ao Haru Ride is in second place! :O I'm glad it's doing so well in Japan! Now if it can only get licensed in the US soon...

I'm pretty sure the scanlations are up to date. Some chapters are longer than others, so volume 7 probably consists of 4 chapters instead of the regular 5.

I don't think MAL news comments is how the average mangaka gauges their success and/or worth.
LOL true though what i was frustrated about was the lack of enthusiasm for vagabond. usually people lose their shit when something hits the no.1 sales spot out of nowhere, but not in this case!
promising sales = the potential for an anime adaptation. though adapting a 300+ chapter manga with the greatest art ever wouldn't be simple and probably actually impossible to maintain good quality. and it would probably be bad anyway because they'd hire some shounen director to handle it.
i digress sorry
The last volume sold a fair bit more, but then that one came out on Monday, whereas this one came out on Thursday, so had 7 days counted first week instead of just 4.
There is no such thing as shit taste. Only idiots who think everyone should have the same taste as they do.

Oh, but the scanlators who scanlate Aoharaido are usually always up to date, they use the monthly chapters.

Ah, I see, that would make sense.
