In a world of technological progress, females are the only ones who can pilot the most advanced military unit in history—the Infinite Stratos (IS). With this power, women have seized complete control of all political, social, and economic ventures; leaving men to the fringes of society, made to tend to the whims of their now, female overlords. That is until Orimura Ichika, the sole male found to have IS piloting ability, is thrust into the spotlight, and enrolled at the prestigious IS Academy. Stuck in the middle of a female-dominated population, Ichika sets out to prove men still have a place in this world. Little did he know, he's just the thing these women have been looking for.
One of the worst pieces of media I've ever touched. IS: Infinite Stratos is nothing short of a disgrace to this medium.
Light Novels are treated by the anime community the same way that anime is treated by society, as something that you should feel ashamed of watching/reading/enjoying. Like anime, Light Novels are diverse in terms of content and themes but just like Shounen and Shoujo are plagued by clichés and LNs are no different. Instead of book dumb and hot headed protagonist rather we have invicible 'demi-god's who are able to attract any girl to their 'harems' all of that while being as dense as
IS: Infinite Stratos is everything wrong with the Light Novel industry all wrapped up on a fanservice-driven piece of garbage. Hot girls and a nice househusband as the protagonist are the only good things this novel has to offer.
The 'plot' is formulaic and simplist and nothing is ever surprising, everything that happens is predictable as hell. The characters are horrid. The girls are all generic run-of-the mill tsunderes and the protagonist is horrendously poorly writen. And the art is just to generic to care about.
One of the worst light novels ever tied with Gakusen Toshi Asterisk. Definitely not worth it.
P.S. Charlotte best girl.
