I mean, comedy's great, but having a character whose only purpose in the entire show is comedy, and nothing else besides a few cheap laughs, that's pretty lazy writing. |

| One that doesn't really contribute much to the show, but takes up a lot of screen time anyway. For example, Itsuki from Initial D: First Stage. I can't imagine anyone getting any comic relief from that whiny, annoying, obnoxious embodiment of idiocy. |

| Talks about being evil all the time then screws up when he/she needs to actually be evil. Also the other way around, good char preaches to bad one then turns out to be the most whiny, possessive, jelaous idiot ever. Examples... most of the chars from fate universe, the only one to actually follow up on her words is the blond loli (lilya or whatever). Idiotic characters like Alan Walker, soooo stupid, 99% of plot twist in the first 15 episodes (I dropped it) are caused by him forgeting he's supposed to be protecting someone or accidentally getting in the way of his allies attack. I know I shouldn't get excited over a show I dropped, but why the hell do they make him forget that the person standing two feet away from him is a perfect material for a hostage in every single episode. |

Of course, that only applies on the more important characters (Minene from Mirai Nikki just couldn't stop getting her character rewritten, same goes for Suzaku from Code Geass). The voice is kinda important too. If his voice is annoying, I kinda doubt that the character would end up likable, except if that voice ain't important for his sterotype. Example: That ninja girl from Kill me Baby. I couldn't stand her voice and it was a pain watching her appear each time. Some people love her because of her voice. And not to forget, characters wearing thick plot armor. It's just too difficult to like them. What's even worse is when that same character dies a really stupid way in the end. There are a lot of factors that can make a character annoying. |

Makes me never want to watch Aria the Scarlet Ammo. Also characters who are normally useless, get into trouble a lot, complain about it, and are somehow still crucial to the plot. Ganta from Deadman Wonderland, I hope you're better in the manga than you are in the anime. |

| Key things that make a character annoying to me is... -Thinking he/she is better than anyone else. Example: Suzu Sakuma of Marmalade Boy -Capturing the affection of someone else when that affection is not deserved. All that affection does is make the annoying character in question think he/she is special when he/she is not. Example: Quess Paraya of Char's Counterattack -Contradicting what he/says on a particular issue, it's more annoying when it's done by a protagonist character. Example: Reccoa Londe of Zeta Gundam -Acting like a total prick with a snot-nosed look on his/her face. Example: Shinn Asuka of Gundam SEED Destiny -Lack of maturity by throwing temper tantrums and acting childish for no reason. Example: Kozue Izumi of Infinite Ryvius -Acting all self-righteous and having this attitude that he/she is always right and other people who don't think the same way or have a different opinion is wrong. Example: Kira Yamato of Gundam SEED/Destiny -Being a character that doesn't bring much to the story and is just there to be a wallflower and has zero development. Example: Rosamia Badam of Zeta Gundam -Is thoughtless (in a bad way) and doesn't consider the feelings of another person/people around him/her. Example: Katsumi Liqueur of Silent Mobius |

| I don't really know, it differs with different animes, sometimes it's them being stupid, clingy and plain annoying, others it's when they don't really add much to the story, but then it can be when they're getting in the way of a couple being together, there's many reasons in what I think makes a character annoying. |

| Supporting females who are love interests that hurt the main character by trying to shoot him or having revenge sex like Shirley Fenette and Flay Allster. Also they do nothing else besides loaf around with their feelings the entire series wasting screentime. I don't mind normal girls who don't fight as I like Kyoko Sasagawa, Haru Miura, Sharon Rainsworth, etc..., but Shirley and Flay were like thrown in my face every fucking episode with their bs I could care less about. They are terribly written supporting love interests that never grow and remain annoying or bitchy the entire series. So basically how their personalities are written and their actions in the series determine wither they are annoying or not. Also if they never grow and develop into a better character. |
