| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Ooh, I was not expecting an episode taking place in that bad weather. Normally, it's warm and sunny but this episode had some gusty winds and cold air. It didn't stop the cast from having their usual fun. Honestly, I like the change of the weather as it brings more atmospheric feel to the show. |

| Rengo had playing with Honoka was nice tho it was a bit sad that she had to go in the end. I also enjoyed the scene where the girls where teasing Hikage in the snow, she really didn't like that. |
Yeah well, parting ways with your friend always is a sad thing to do .. the ending was quite sad to be honest. |

| Damn, that last segment with Honoka and Renge just might have been the single most wholesome section of any anime I've seen all season. Made me a bit misty eyed. XD |
| Stand-up comedy in middle of a snowstorm. Very nice. Also that was very wholesome. Kinda got me a bit sad, but at least Renge was able to say bye. Good times don't last very long. Next episode will be a backstory of Candy Store?! Also, very, nice. |
| Winter and snowing are quite unusual for Non Non Biyori. We don't see much in the series. The last part between Renchon and Honoka was very heartwarming and a sad farewell. However, those farewell will strengthen their relationship. BTW, Hotarun where are you??? |

| That was one of the best episodes of the season... we got some Hika-nee comedy, Dagashiya screentime and Renge finally got say goodbye to her friend properly :( I think Non Non Biyori is the best anime of Winter 2021, and thats saying a lot considering there are many great shows like AoT and Re:zero airing right now... |

| This is already my favorite episode from hika-nee learning a lesson about her greed to the stand up comedy in the middle of a blizzard to the sad goodbye. This episode has locked this season in at a solid 8 rating for me but we still have 2 episodes left so who knows but the next episode features baby renge and every time she's on screen she's amazing. Hmm... that last bit with renge when she says at least I got to say goodbye this time really got me like I genuinely started to tear up. |
| Oh yeah, finally new year time, Hikage moment at the beginning was really hilarious, she really wanted that new year allowance but ended up giving it to the younger ones hahaha xD and that play in the snow was sure hardcore for her, poor girl, she sure dislike cold. That last part with Renge and her goodbye was great too, but a little sad :/ |

| There should be a spin-off series in which Renge-chan and Honoka-chin feelings towards each other would turn into something more beautiful after a few years. :D I laughed my ass off at that totally random role-playing improvision they played in the snowstorm "to warm up". |

| Hikage got a little too greedy, hehe. Renge was finally reunited with Honoka. Sadly, she had to go again, but at least Renge got to say goodbye this time. And I'm sure those two will see each other more often in the future and become even better friends. :3 All those snowy landscapes looked beautiful again. |

| I really liked the blizzard improv session with Renge, Natsumi, and Hikage. Deadpan improv + straight (wo)man is always a good combo. The goodbye between Renge and her friend was cute. |
| I really love Non Non Biyori. The episodes always deliver. Not even one bad episode exists. One of my favorite shows in this season and probably of this year. Only 2 episodes left :( |

| The New Year's money part was funny, especially with Konomi-nee. The second part was too freaking adorable. It should be illegal to be this cute ;_; I kind of wish we had an entire episode dedicated to Renge and Honoka, though. |

| I really love this episode, if people ask me “why do you like this anime?” I’ll show them this episode. I can really relate with Renge in this episode a lot about saying goodbye to a good friend. I honestly would give this episode a 9/10. |

| Random comedy in a blizzard, only in Non Non Biyori xD Renge finally managed to say goodbye to Honoka. Good thing we didn't see her all teary eyed this time, or else it'll be heart-breaking like last season. Reminder to those who forgot what happened last time :'( |

| That blizzard segment was weirdly amusing. What else can you expect with Natsumi and Renge tag teaming on Hikage. Was priceless. Wow not gonna lie, that ending was pretty sad in a way. Saying goodbye to a good friend is never a nice thing, especially when you know that you're not gonna see that person in a while. |

Damn! This hit hard! Glad to see that Renge learned her lesson from the last time and actually asked Hinoka when she is leaving. Honoka singlehandedly tured this CGDCT into a drama. |

| The Renge & Honoka story was really touching. Given how sad Renge was last time at not being able to say goodbye, it was really nice that they were reunited and managed a proper goodbye. |

| This show really nails nostalgia. I remember going around like that asking for christmas blessing as a kid. Hikage is probably my favorite in this franchise. |

There was this shot around 17:39 when Renge and Honoka were playing outside and it seemed totally out of the season. Could there be such a lush and green place in the middle of the winter or was it some kind of error? |

| Konomi really is the perfect onee-san. She's super fun and playful most of the time, but can also lay down the law when someone *cough* hikage is out of line. When I was a kid, I practically worshipped trusted older teenagers like they were infinitely wise and fun, and could do no wrong. I feel like Konomi encapsulates that perfectly, and triggers a lot of happy nostalgia. Natsumi and Renge's absurd comedy routine in the snow was too fun! Hikage also did her part as a perfect tsukkomi. Her reactions in her exaggerated accent were great. The Renge segment was really sweet. Reminded me of how I felt as a kid when I had to say goodbye to my cousins after visiting. Glad that she got to see her friend, and was able to say a proper goodbye this time. Overall, definitely a top three episode this season. Really sad that there are only two left T_T |

| This is typical Non Non Biyori when you have Renge, Natsumi and Hikage having a comedy routine about being a patient at a hospital/fish tank at a pet store/convenience store and with the perfect deadpan improv and straight man reactions while in a BLIZZARD! Nothing wrong with this at all! XD While the comedy routine and Hikage's greed of new year's money was amusing, the best part of the episode was the return of Honoka. We haven't seen her since season 1 way back in 2013, but one shot of her and the memories of THAT episode came flooding back into my mind. It was only for 2 whole days, but Renge and Honoka had fun playing together, as Renge showed Honoka as much as possible of what the small community has to offer in terms of places of interests as well as some beautiful scenic shots (Apart from one, which @Ishitateso mentioned, where it felt completely out of place due it being lush with greenery without a hint of snow at all). Unlike last time, though, Renge asked Honoka how long she would be staying and, in a bittersweet scene at the end of the episode, Renge was able to say goodbye to her friend this time. Honestly, if we got a repeat of Renge missing out on saying goodbye to Honoka again like last time, it would break my heart. ='( Arguably, this is one of the best Non Non Biyori episodes we've had so far as a whole. The sad thing now is that we only have 2 episodes left of this season... |
| Never expected we'd see Honoka again, but it's so sweet that Renge got to properly say goodbye to her this time. Such an unexpected but delightful payoff for an episode from way back in season 1. And it looks like we're going to get some more baby Renge and Candy Store next week, which is always fun. |
| OMG, Honoka from the first season returned to the countryside and Renge could finally say goodbye to her properly. I'm so happy! Easily among NNB best segments in my opinion. And it seems we will be having more Baby Renge x Kaede moments next week as well, huh? Man, I'm so looking forward to next episode now! |

Normally an episode decided to Renge is filled with non-stop comedy elements, but only for the first half in this case. The slightly sad music and Renge's expression throughout the second half made me feel sorry for her. For some reason, it makes me reminisce of the last days of my childhood holidays.  "I got to say goodbye this time" - feels like a final goodbye to the Honoka. |

| Damn ninjas cutting onions!! That really made teary eyed. Renge grew up real fast there. She finally said goodbye to her friend. One of the most hard moment in childhood is to bid farewell to a mate who you know if you'll ever meet again or not. This episode hit the 10 mark for the show for me this season. On other note, after a season mostly full of Natsumi's antics we get Renge on forefront. Hikage getting wrekt was the most wholesome moment of craziness. That was some high level conversation as per usual with Natsumi-Renge pairup to fillet Hika-nee. XD Also Dagashiya is a simp for Renge. Just can't get enough of her love for Renge. |
