Hell yes, Maki is back. She needs more screen time in this show and I'm happy to see her again.
Looks like the episode dedicated time on her and Miki. Of course there would be some games going on even outdoors.
Midori just like the store manager, not going easy even on first-time gamers. I like that attitude too!
Today's game of The Island is called Survive: Escape from Atlantis! in our spheres and a proud 37 years in age. Nice little island escape that doesn't overstay its welcome.
Well the board game cafe seems to be approved much to the dislike of a certain someone.
Anyway Miki on a motorcycle was funny, i own a motorcycle myself and the first time driving one can be pretty intimidating ones you get used to it it's fun tho.
HOW ABOUT THAT YOU DAMN VICE-PREZ
The kaichou is a very chill character, nice that we have a good male in this series.
Finally we'll get to see more of that other blonde girl.
And Maki-chan is amazing. Definitely needs more screen time.
The german girl didn't appear this episode after all? That's surprising. Guess she's no more than a sidecharacter after all.. At least here?
I mean the anime is already more than halfway through, this almost feels like back when I waited for Ashumi's appearance in bokuben
Maki's reappearance was pretty cute tho ngl
Fun to watch their little game

Afterschool Dice Club passes the halfway mark with yet another fantastic episode! The things I love the most about this show is its fantastic character writing and its surprisingly engaging board games. This episode was a surprisingly good character study for Maki and a fine introduction for the student council president and the show proves once again how board games can unite people and provide fun.
I loved the moment between Maki and Miki, those two made a fine bond session with that weird board game. Maki's backstory was typically sad, but it was acceptable.
Can't say I'm super psyched about the festival, but at least I hope it will be worthwhile.

This series is so Fucking underrated it makes me so angry. I guess any series that doesn't have titties, waifus or big budget fights is under a 7 on MAL. This is genuinely the cutest and most wholesome thing I've seen in a long time and I'm so glad I picked up the manga for my birthday, hope we get a season 2 because I don't want this journey to end. This is such a great way to wind down after 6 hours of grad school on Wednesday. MIki chan is best girl.
We're on the half-way mark. This show is a real gem. Great way to show how board games can be a medium to connect people to each and explore the characters personalities.
Maki chan and Miki chan's part was really cute. Maki chan is really weak to compliments lol, that side of her is cute. Also Miki chan actually called Midori a demon XD.
Midori going all out against first-time players is so me. Playing against her sure would be a quite entertaining experience.
Another good episode overall. The first part with Miki and Maki was nice though a bit "forced" in terms of interactions at first. Still, totally understandable due to how opposite their personalities are.
The second part, on the other hand, had me a bit worried due to certain pink-haired brat but fortunately, she didn't have much screentime this time. Honestly, I can't stand her hypocritical attitude so I'm glad the focus was on the student council president instead.
The game looked quite entertaining, by the way. Would love to play it someday.
i tho the prez would be some kind of prodigy, who then become one of the club's rival,
i am actually glad that he just some chill guy
i like how he interact with aya nearing end.
Miki getting kidnapped by "Mad Dog Kyoko" Maki in broad daylight sure is a thing.
But a game where you intimidate each other? Maki sure ain't getting easy over how Miki is weak-willed and all. Maki's backstory of how a trainwrecked family has her to defend for herself is quite sad on the literate end, gave the same vibes for Miki to face her fears head-on.
The student council bitch of a vice-president still holds grudges over their last meeting. And certainly the others aren't happy about it. And the president senior in question trips over to the boardgame shop to see the trio in name, to have Miki in full thoughts while Aya and (smart) Midori in their usuals.
Game of the week: The Island, sure is interesting for a large but luckily not-so-complex gameplay.
In the end, they got their wish, and a board game café for the school festival. How is fun not achieved in taking risks and challenges?
Yesss my Maki-chan is back. Both Miki and Maki came from a hard background, but Maki seems had much darker story. Btw, Maki with hairs down ? Yeah, hot !
Council president is back and already pissed the annoying vice. Hahaha, I love it !
Truly a great episode. Really enjoyed Miki and Maki scene a lot, it was quite wholesome. Monjiro game that looks like dice but the game you can play in many different ways sounds like an interesting concept, even though Miki doesn't seem to have an optimal way to play it. Maki wanting to play insulting game hah, not bad not bad. She definitely wont there (just like me cause i learned and revised japanese words LOL), i really liked Miki opening up and thanking her and then them reminsicing the past. Turns out Maki has quite a sad past with her dad beating her up and being a drinker, she can't really forgive people for hurting the weak ones who can't fight back. That's some amazing resolve... honestly.
Seeing Maki all embarassed while Miki was thrwoing all those positve remarks about her made my day haha...
Maki noticing MIki's sadisitc side... reminded me of Devil Aoba or ... Devil Hina
President is pretty nice going that far as to visiting the store that probably is located quite a decent distance away, he liked the idea and wanted to reassure. Knowing that he likes seeing students smile, he wanted to reassure that the board games is really something that will make people smile.
Island looked like lots of fun, love how chill the Student Council President is too, definitely a good lad and I’m glad he got the girls’ board game cafe approved, Vice President needs to get the stick out of her ass lol.
I also loved the bit with Miki and Maki, two very opposite personalities but they had a damn nice moment together.
Props to the President overriding his VP and allowing the board game cafe part of the festive. VP could not get over being turned down by Midori in a previous episode.
