| I just watched episode 2 and it was so funny and cheerful and then I noticed that manga updated so obviously I read it... and I wasn't prepared for this. Reading this chapter and knowing about what happens rn on Ukraine just breaks my heart, man. I absolutely hate talking about politics, especially in places like this, where you go to relax and enjoy imaginary worlds, but... yeah, fuck wars. |

| Expected, but still devastated. Horror of war, ladies and gentleman. Those who yearn for war are likely never experience its horror before. Sylvia Sherwood's speech for those dog terrorist youngsters rings all the more true. So that's how Loid met Franky. I'm quite interested in Franky, to be honest. I don't really understand his position in the story's world. He is an Ostanian, yet his main occupation is an informant. Why? If I recall correctly, it was stated in a few chapters back when he was dating (pretend) Fiona that he just wants to cause a few chaos in Ostania. But does he have allegiance to Westalis? What's his reason to not rat Loid and WISE? I believe part of his reason will be explained in the next chapter. Guh... I can't wait. |

Just saying that Loid's situation shouldn't be taken into something "ideal and impactful" as in like something that captures a picture-perfect moment of a certain event because as it may seem simplistic when it comes to the interpretation, it still captures the essence of the opposition inside the war that would be happening in the past era and present like in Ukraine for instance. Also, fuck politics and fuck wars but it is what it is needed to be addressed. |

His childhood friends died and he almost died with them, croquette lady died after he just spoke to her, his mom died, his dad is nowhere to be found, and Twilight's childhood was destroyed. The paneling this chapter was also most definitely impactful with how Endo used text, shrapnel and white pages to convey the trauma and impact of war. Could it have been more emotional? Sure, but was it necessary? Not really. |

It's war. In a way, it's indeed simplistic. But what more can you do? No matter how you mix it, it will still end up as a tragedy of violence where one lost the peace one is accustomed to in a mere blink of an eye. |

Damn... gotta appreciate irl Cold War in Europe didn't turn into actual war. I really wonder and curious what kind of diplomatic fuckup that can cause this. I want to see the diplomat PoV too lol. Also, with this confirmation that Loid had a lot of experience fighting in a war as a soldier,, I wonder who will win if Loid and Yor fight each other 1 vs 1 . |

| there are some chances that twilight 's 3 kid friends and his dad are still alive in the present day . maybe he will meet them again in a future chapter . i guess his dad is actually a spy of the east country , and now twilight is a spy of the west country . page 21 : "Roland Spoofy" , IIRC , all of twilight 's fake names start with the letter "R" : Roid Forger , Robert , ... and this page 21 is a reference to page 1 of the previous chapter 62-1 . in both times , twilight plays with wires to beat his enemies . last page : - twilight : anya , so that was "How I Met Your Mother" , er , i mean , "How I Met Your 2nd Father" : shaggy-hair man . |

If it were made emotional, loid wouldn't be able to move on with his life and will forever get hung on to his past. The fact that his past were kept brief and simple meant that it was something he'd rather not remember. It may not meet your expectation but still a good chapter. |

| Loved these panels, nothing is shown and it says so much but Loid's emotional state. Distorting the panel borders from the typical straight lines to as sketchy and erratic as Loid's screaming calls for his mom is such an effective way to heighten the emotional impact the horrors of war had on Loid's life. |

| Finally caught up with the manga. |
| How terrifying, for some I always have had a strange fascination for scenes of war torn destroyed buildings or hellish invasions, in fiction of course. Seeing the wreckage of his town was just beguiling. He is definitely a broken man and the Twilight we know now definitely looks back on this history hoping for no one to ever experience it again. |
