| The first half of this episode was not spectacular, however the final scene was really interesting. After all Subaru met by accident one of those menacing Witches. But is it an illusion of some sort? As @mozgow noticed earlier, Beatrice told Subaru the story of Satella and there was a fragment about Satella devouring all other Witches. So, is that Echidna a mere illusion or is she actually one of those Archbishops? I guess it's gonna be explained in the next episode. Oh, and it was cool to see new maids in the mansion. Frederica, a professional maid; and well-known Petra, a kid from the village accepted to work as a novice maid. :) |

I can’t wait till we get her backstory, I like her character a lot Alsooo very confused by this new witch lol. I thought there was just the witch of envy but I guess not. Also do they all look like Emilia?? |

| Okay, this is so hard... Who is Frederica is is still confusing, I only know that Frederica is a retired maid. Beatrice has a relationship with Battlegeus? It was surprising because if Beatrice found out, was she also a sect of witch? They find out what is santurity, idfc with name and also whether they mention Gabriel? It was a blue gem like a diamond, whether it had anything to do with green gems, and that green gem I still didn't know. They want to meet Resewall but they experience a strange incident in the forest, and they meet Echidna. I'm still a little confused by the list of wtich sects. It's good because Subaru has met Echidna, I'm curious about Echidna ... So I want to watch next eps again. And also 10/10 for this eps |

| So Echidna is not the main witch that was mentioned in the s1. She looked similar to Emilia. And Emilia is compared to satella by people. Is there something I have to watch after s1 before watching this or should I continue Edit - got clarity after watching next episode |

| It was a fine episode. Somewhat slow with a couple boring parts but there were some nice things in this episode too admittedly so not much important details to complain about. Most interesting parts of the episode being the Beatrice-Subaru conversation (Beatrice claiming that another one has gone now and even having her call Betelgeuse, 'Geuse', when she sees Subaru having his Gospel in front of her). As well as the ending scene with Subaru confronting the Witch of Greed, Echidna after being transported there. It wasn't an action-packed episode but there were some good world building elements there at least to make this episode work, even if some conversations and dialogue in the actual episode here were... not great. Also, nice meeting Frederica too, who has a really nice voice in this series. Kaori Nazuka did well here. |

| Beatrice was about to cry for Petelgeuse? Nice to see Petra working in the mansion. Subaru and Emilia start heading to the Sanctuary and then boom... Echidna?! :O |
| Episode felt pretty slow-paced somehow, not that interesting. But starting with the next one it should get much more interesting, finally we get to see the witch. |
| another really good episode. the moments between emilia and subaru continue to be great and being introduced to the witch of greed at the end was very unexpected and shocking. i'm excited to see what this means for the story as it advances and exactly what the course we're going on is. |
| So they are now heading over to a place called the sanctuary and just as they start, trouble immediately strikes them. Subaru is now talking to someone who has a similiar appearance to Emilia. Let's see how this goes. |
| Sorry but I have to go on a tangent! Frederica is such a looker, her teeth have a charm to them, her looks are very refreshing with her being rather tall, having green eyes, blond air, and a very gentle voice, she looks and sounds like a proper maid and a very charming girl, knowing what is ahead, knowing she is a new character with tons of importance, I m very pleased I enjoyed her this much so on first sight, more than in the LN. Petra is also joining the maids in the mansion, things are going to get so lively if it wasn't for the tragedy ahead... I always thought Petra's hair was blond from the illustrations but it is orange instead huh? Subaru teleported just like that, lol, yes there is an explanation, but it is still kinda weird. Not a bad way to end it with Echidna, I heard the OST before seeing this, and since I m reading ahead, on vol12, it is really a fitting theme for Echidna, and then the OP starts playing, and the first scene with Echidna on it looks so HYPE mixing with the sound, tbh this feels better than any of either OP from S1 already. But I will keep reading the LN ahead, I doubt I will be as shocked as I would otherwise if I saw S2 first, but the thing is reading the LN first is still giving out a better experience, just amazing, for the tense scenes, gives you the creeps with rezero ost going on, more than I think S2 will ever do. Enjoying both to together like this is gonna be a blast! |

| SOOOOO much exposition and background detail. Fuck, when are they gonna' start the show already? The heavy labor and homework even to get to what feels like a true episode 1 in this season is legendary, I hope it'll have been worth it. Basically, witch cultists took REM's name and worldly lifeforce, so she's a mystery and a shadow now. So SubaruCars.com is going to get her life presence back! And they also explained nerdy librarian Beatrix again. And LOTS of side characters NOBODY remembers from the last show. Truly a murky, thick, deep beginning to this show plunging you right into isekai story lore straight right off the bat. A very soft opening. Welp, maybe ep 3 will be the true start to this show and we can get somewhere? Won't hold my breath though. SubaruCars.com is still lame as ever, even though his elegant luxury and fine upholstery seats are as exquisite as ever. And 35 miles to the gallon! Terrific. A sequoia red with a tint of rust, truly an exquisite used pick, bless SubaruCars.com. And there's a monster girl maid and an old gentleman in ep 1, and a female elf trapp. Who remembers any of these people? There's too many side characters in this show and through talking they're explaining witches when I feel like they should be doing that through explication, or action. FUCKKKKK, like where are we even going with this story? Had to vent, plus these episodes are so LOOOONG, is anything going to happen? These first two episodes were BRUTAL in terms of talking over doing. |

| Petra became one of the maids for the mansion, which is a nice development, as she's very cute. What is Beatrice's relation with Betelgeuse then? At some point she knew him, and he had a nickname indicating he used to be a bit more approachable. |

| The dialogue in this episode was boring, drawn out, and cringy. Due to the poor pacing and info dump scenes, the episode felt way longer than it actually was. The 12-year-old in that maid uniform is kind of questionable, and I really do not like the character design of the Witch of Gredd Echidna. |
