Yup, in a competitive environment with apprentices, there's no doubt that Arte has to prove herself.

Apparently, some characters have doubts about Arte due to her gender. To me, I think she is a hardworking person who earned the right to be an apprentice. She worked hard this episode and my respect for sure.

I do think she still need more to learn but also has a lot of potential.

Looks like Arte and Angelo are walking around the city and it feels like a date to me, what do you think? please add to this. But when they were talking there was a man who seemed to be angry with Arte, he said that Arte was a woman and didn't fit in here ... Hearing that Angelo was angry and a fight had taken place, but the man seemed to be carrying a ball and I thought they would competing a game of "dodgeball" that exists instead they actually fight each other. in the middle of the battle there was a ball that was pointing at Arte's face and knocked him out (I wanted to laugh when I saw Arte's nose bleed, lol).

After collapsing, Arte finally woke up. I was very interested in the scene where Arte was making cement mixture. Arte looked confused when mixing cement and water, after that she smeared it on the wall and for some reason the results were very bad, lol. I'm sure if you've watched this episode I'm sure you will laugh after seeing this.

I'm still interested in Angelo does he have a special relationship with Arte? I saw from this episode it looks like they are a friend, if there are other opinions please add.

AH...the trade guild mini arc. Sure is a fine trouble in such an era as the Renaissance.

The sexism continues, and this time Angelo stands up for Arte, what a fine gentleman. Good try, but the fine lady is prepping herself up for more challenges along the way.

And Leo teaching Arte another form of art (Fresco) as means of bringing her standard up a notch, but by no means an easy task...from the Trade Guild to confirm her existence not being a liability to Florence. And it's safe to say that Leo took the message as clear as molasses to NOT give Arte any leniency and showcase her talents as usual.

Of course, with the paintings comes Arte's overflowing passion to make into fruition, and along with it, her growing reputation (towards the bigh brass and other ateliers) that's like Leo's in every way, no matter how much work that contributes to immense tiredness.

Great episode as usual, and Arte's getting noticed more even from outsider lords. The hope of extending her reach continues in small whisks.

This and AC II have taught me most of what I know about renaissance Italy. Time for my weekly history lesson :)

Arte and Leo are a great team since they can really relate to each other both being outsiders. Even now with all his success people still talk about him starting as a beggar.

Best boy Angelo got some nice shine this episode, he’s slowly growing out of his unconscious sexism, still has a few signs of it every now and again but he’s making an effort

Another really fun episode. Arte’s gradually becoming more and more accepted by the guys in the community and isn’t backing down at all in the face of adversity

Looks like we’ll get the blonde guy from the OP next week! Could be a big break for Arte’s career since he’s taken notice of her work. See y’all next week :)

Arte works all day but Leo works all day and night and even without break too! He has the stamina of the beast, and that make him a perfect husband that will do his 'homework' everynight without getting tired from the day job!

It seems like Arte play football not because she want to have fun but because she want to socialized.

The noble or prince at the end is likely want to snatch Arte away from Leo, since both Arte and that guy are noble they seem like a perfect match. But we already know what Arte's gonna choose.

Fighting at funeral > dancing at funeral
She is working really hard, she seems to enjoy it but it's way too much, she's going to have some problems if she continues like that.
Blond guy at the end is weird I hope he isn't bad.

Already halfway through the series, so far it's been fun.

Lol playing at the funeral instead of mourning huh, reminds me of the current funeral trend in Ghana.

Arte still working hard to get everyones recognition, she's so admirable. Also looks like a troublesome guy has appeared.

although funerals are for mournings but it can also be considered a gathering of some sort for the bereaved family, so a lot of times you'd find people enjoying themselves meeting people they haven't seen in awhile! and in sense celebrate the life of the person who died.
been in a few funerals myself where stuff like this happened! it's kinda chill!

the troublesome guy about to spark the flame of Jealousy in Leo's eyes! lol

Ok so far I’ve been able to looks past a lot of stuff that doesn’t make sense in this show but the whole “there have been some objections about me taking you on as an apprentice. this is the condition they gave for you continuing your training as a painter.” Like sorry I didn’t know other people can decide that for someone else's apprentice for his own workshop the him and only him own and for them to decide things for a noble no less. Making the next part hard to enjoy.Who is writing this shit lmao

This "you're only a woman" is getting overused and Arte seems more and more like a generic shounen protagonist. I still like it tho.

I think the Venezian noble dude at the end will propose to Arte or something in the next ep.

This series is set in the renaissance and in this age and since medeaval times, people of the same profession did form guilds, as described in the episode. These guilds were super influentual in their respective fields and to work in the same profession but outside the guild was basically impossible or at least professional suicide. For the guild to influence a specific workshop was very easy, considering their power. It was even stated that they wouldn't even bother with Arte, but it was kind of nothing going on, so it was more a publicity stunt than anything.

Basically, I want to say that it is possible for this to have happend considering the setting :)

Another episode gone by too quickly.
I hope Arte takes care of herself. Interesting, I thought this would be a unrequited love story (to both Art and Leo for Arte), but it seems like we have potential company. Not sure if it's because Venice is becoming a rivalry state as welll (and it's all a huge metaphor for Arte and her love/mentorship) but, new guy giving me bad juju.

Ugh, Arte acts like a shoujo character, this doesn't feel like a seinen. She's so stupid sometimes. Did she really think she could break up a fight between those guys? Especially when one of the guys fucking hated her?

Also, I'm not sure if it's just to make her wear the same outfit all the damn time but wouldn't it be better to wear boy's clothes so that she can move and work more easily? Her dress is pretty long and seems impractical considering her job. I'm sure less people would notice or care that she's a woman as long as she didn't stand out so much.

So weird how these guys think it's weird to be nice to a girl.

I don't know what it is but with each episode the show is less interesting for me. It doesn't much feel like a proper Florence of that time, with all the reactions and behaviour straight from your typical modern anime. And for the most part, the conflicts just seem exaggerated.

The whole situation was kind of annoying to be honest, but I guess that it's a good thing that Arte was acknowledged for working hard and showing that she is good and serious at this by the other apprentices and by that Guild Master. That Venetian noble who took an interest in her sketch is interesting too, I just hope he isn't bringing trouble though.

Yeah, in reality half of those guys (including the Masters) would have been trying to hook up with Arte.

This is just the kind of anime in which the girl runs around with toast in her mouth because she's late to work.

...and yet I'm still watching. Guilty pleasure!
...but then again, I unironically like Warau Salesman.

Another week and we are already with the 6th episode of Arte (we are right in the middle) ...

More vibes of the Renaissance, this time we see how little by little Arte is better accepted among the artistic community ... but not only it, we also see how Leo has fought in the same way to achieve respect, and like his teacher, Arte He will be able to demonstrate that she deserves to be there.

Good Episode and just wait for the next one!

Decent ep again, Arte's resolve can be both admirable and foolish at the same time but the show continues to make the same mistake of trying to force things when it would've been better to be subtle, her joining them for such a physical looking contact sport felt a bit cringe to me.

Again using the "because you are a woman" formula, but I didn't found it heavily as in the first episodes, and in the end they ended up recognizing Arte's efforts and talent.

True, sometimes she's just your typical shoujo heroine. It seems a bit off on this historical setting, but we can get used by it and still like her ^^

I feel this is more of a shounen than anything else.
Almost every conflict so far has been resolved through the power of hard working and being a good person. Every major character introduced so far has immediately taken a liking to Arte, I don't feel this is earned at all.
I just don't feel there's any stakes to this story. Arte will just continue to win people over just by being lovable and that's all.

I liked the nod to Calcio Fiorentino (=historic football, the precursor to soccer) in this episode, at least that felt grounded with the historical setting.

Another good episode. Arte is just adorable, I wouldn't be able to handle any of this in such a mature light lol Also I liked that they acknowledged her even though she was making mistakes. It bothered me a little that Angelo was like "omg she's making mistakes when she needs to impress"... Everyone else make mistakes, it's sad that she would need to be better than anyone to be recognized.

Hmm... Arte, I'm not sure what to say.

It's good that the anime has been managing to shift around with making different types of art so things aren't stale on that end. She once more goes into an environment where some people don't like her (except this time she has some peeps on her side). And then through the power of her determination she earns their respect and gets the work done. I suppose in that respect episodes have become somewhat formulaic, not bad but formulaic. There isn't a real persistent opposing force, unless you name society as the opposing force but as shown through the many episodes released that society's perspective is malleable.

The concern that I have in the back of my head is just how much does the girl need to prove herself at this stage of the game. While I think that the anime doesn't do the best job in showing how much time has passed between all the episodes, it has been a while since she started working for Leo. The fact the rumors spread so quickly in the beginning means most of the apprentices had to have known she was doing well at her master's workshop. Perhaps I imagined the dissent for Arte being more like mumbling between the apprentice guys and perhaps some physical distancing (as in they separate themselves from her) at this point.

Arte's smile is so infectious. She's such a ball of energy and adorableness. She's so charming that you cant help but smile with her.

That guy at the end looked like a relative of Arte with the green eyes and blonde hair. At first I thought it was her fiance but after taking his hood off he looks more like a cousin or something.

Its an interesting setting as well, Ive never really seen many anime set in, I want to say France. That time in history. Its got a lot of Snow White with the Red hair vibes with the proving themselves and I love both of them. Arte has been nothing but a lovable watch this entire time.

Still enjoying this show, I'm glad Arte was able to overcome more obstacles and prove herself, fitting in with the other apprentices and learning a new skill as she endures Leo's tough intructions. Gaining the attention of a new guy and such who admired her work also has me interested for the next episode. It was adorable how she introduced herself loudly and even got to play with the other apprentices in the end, they seemed to accept her more which is always inspiring!

Hm, another sweet moment for both Leo-san and Arte. Even if the cruelty Leo-san always come to justified the whole Arte's job. But still, he surely has a kind heart and really care for his assistant. Or, could that implied something more? Okay. Its enough. I just feel bad to Angelo with that situations.

A moneter crisis, could make people gone crazy. Yet, on the era situations that full of discrimination the bad luck could appear to block Arte's dream. Fortunately, Leo-san caring side take a high note to the development of Arte's personality, and his side too. Its funny to see it, but feel sad with Arte's too. Whatever. Its a very hard work. And Arte really deserved that happy game in the end and warm huge at the night. That honest smile from Arte. That blissful expression you had while felt asleep. Damn, such an angelic art you had there from Arte!

Ah, another noble comes from other city. Its Venezia, the city i might familiar with some show. I just hope his appearance served good to the show that make Arte's goal become true. Thats it for these episode, i guessed
