This is the journey of an idol group called "Fruit Tart", on a mission to repay a huge debt of 100,000,000 yen!

If you have watched Hanayamata before, you'll noticed some similarity between this and Hanayamata in terms of animation and character design. The reason is Ochikobore Fruit Tart's creator, Hamayumiba Sou is also the creator of Hanayamata which explains the similar vibe between the two anime. If you have enjoyed Hanayamata before, then you might enjoy this anime. But before that let's go with the details in the anime!

The story is about an aspiring idol, Ino Sakura decides to head to Tokyo to achieve her ... dream of becoming an idol. There she meets the three characters living in the dorm called "Mouse House" and suprisingly they're all unpopular in certain career. And what makes it more suprising is that the dormitory is in danger of being demolished. In order to prevent this, Hoho-chan the manager creates a recovery plan by forming the four girls into an idol group called "Fruit Tart". And thus the idol group "Fruit Tart" made their first debut.

Unlike other famous idol anime like Love Live, the story doesn't seem to focus more on idol stuff. Although I enjoy the wacky activities in each of the episodes, I feel like it's not enough to be counted as idol activities. The anime relies more on comedy which is a plus one for the anime. What makes it worse is the amount of fanservice thrown out into the anime. I don't mind about fanservice anime since it doesn't look too disturbing compare to true ecchi anime. But for viewers looking for a family-friendly anime, this one is not recommended.

In terms of characters, they have several unique trait that makes the anime more interesting and funny. Ino Sakura is a cheerful female MC who has a huge obsession on cute things done by other girls. Roko Sekino is an unpopular child actor and will cry whenever someone talks about her short stature. Nina Maehara is an unpopular model who is really sensitive about her stature that makes her look like the oldest one in the idol group. Hayu Nukui is an unpopular musician who seems to fear of losing her close friend, Ino Sakura to her adoring fans.

The background music used in the anime is also great. It adds some cute aesthetic to the anime which is also a plus one for the anime. The art is not bad but not great, although I love the animation used for the episode title right after the OP song.

Overall, the anime has a lot of potential in creating some comedy moments. But since the anime relies too much on fanservice, it becomes entirely not safe for all ages to watch. And you may also noticed some yuri undertones used in the anime. Thankfully the yuri undertones doesn't affect my enjoyment value of the series. Wanna watch it or not depends on your preferences in watching anime. If you don't mind about the fanservice in the anime, then this anime will be enjoyable for you.

There is no question that the idol genre is booming at the moment. We could already watch in the summer season 2019 a wonderful CGDCT (Cute Girls Doing Cute Things) story with "Re: Stage! Dream Days ♪", where our girls gave everything to become successful idols and win the competition. At the end of 2019/beginning of this year we were able to experience a new creative idea with "22/7", how AI can also be used in the idol business. In the ... warm summer season, we were able to see a wonderful light show from "Lapis Re: LiGHTs". Now at the end of an unusual year, "Love Live! Nijigasaki" and "Ochikobore Fruit Tart" showed us all the beautiful and happy sides of life again.

The dream of becoming a successful idol requires hard work, only a few girls manage to pinch the top. Ino, a first-year high school student had always the dream becoming an idol one day.
For this reason, she travels to Tokyo and moves into a dormitory-style house for entertainers known as "Nezumi House” (rat house). She meets other “dropout” girls there and become friends with them: We have Roko, a formerly popular child actress, Hayu, a musician, and Nina, a model. Later Hemo also joins the "Rat Production" and completes the five-girl idol group. Their manager Hoho never really knew how to handle money correctly, so the house is threatened with being torn down. To prevent this, our new idol unit "Fruit Tart" decides to join the entertainment industry in order to raise funds to protect their home.

What makes this idol anime so special are the characters. While the last names of each character represent Koganei's (a city located in the western portion of Tokyo) districts, the first names each phonetically spell out the Japanese poem "Iroha". The first line of the poem “Iro ha nihoheto” can be found here as well: Ino, Roko, Hayu, Nina, Hoho, Hemo.
Whoever sees Ino for the first time probably had the same thought as me: This is Nadeshiko from Yuru Camp! Based on the date, the manga OchiFuru appeared first in 2014 while Yuru Camp was published in 2015. Either way, both characters look similar and give you a comfy impression. Ino has a fairly level-headed temperament. Although coming from the country side, she was easily able to adapt to the fast-paced life in the city. She has a strong penchant for the MOE aesthetic as well, whenever something cute happens from other girls, she tends to drool and flush red with a certain delight.
Ino always loved Roko for her cute broccoli commercials when Roko was a child. That’s why she is known by many TV viewers as "Brocco”. As an idol, Roko is very much popular among women in their 20's and older, they love her cuteness. Although already being a sixteen-year-old high school student, she is only 140 cm tall. With her experience she tries to make the best possible as the leader of the group.
Whenever Roko is sad or just wants a hug, she finds place between Nina’s breasts. Nina stands out in one thing: her G-Cup size oppai. That is the reason why she is sometimes the biggest draw of Fruit Tart, owing mostly to her physical appearance and not necessarily because of her singing or dancing. Since she had been a fashion model before, she is in charge of the costumes.
Coming from a wealthy family in, Hayu had decided to pursue becoming a musician against her father's wishes. As a result, she was forced to survive on her own at “Nezumi House”. Although she is a terrible singer, Hayu has the motivation about becoming an idol. With her love and understanding for music, especially Rock, she helps to write the group's song compositions.
The last girl joining the group is Hemo. She is intensely devoted to Ino. Like her, Hemo had always dreamed of being an idol since childhood. Before joining the “Rat Productions”, she auditioned at “Cat Productions” and landed in first place. But after some strange encounters, she decided to stay in the “Nezumi House”.
In addition to our main characters, we also see their manager Hoho, who loves beer and money above everything else; the best supporter in the world Tone, who is an excellent singer and could easily outshine each member in singing ability; and the members of the rival group "Cream Anmitsu" around Roko's younger sister Chiko and the twins Nua and Rua. They are much better known and more successful. Least but not last, without fans idols cannot be successful. They are supported by their family, friends, neighbourhood, everyone loves them!
Every character is special and has a certain preference, which is rather unusual. But you can still feel the joy that our idols shine. It’s fun to watch their everyday life.

Fruits are colorful, so is this anime. We experience many bright and happy colors. The girls are shown very cute and adorable as it is often the case in CGDCT idol anime. The "stick figure style" is special here and cannot be seen anywhere else. In a few scenes our girls are shown with only their head and a "triangle line" instead of the body. It's hard to imagine and explain, so you have to experience this for yourself! But this also makes everything seem much funnier and somehow livelier.

The music is of course an important part for an idol anime. Certainly "Fruit Tart" can't keep up with the girls from “Love Live!” when it comes to this part, but there is something humorous about their music. It makes everything happier and a little funnier as well. Both OP and ED are a group performance, it's just fun to listen to their music. They put you in a good mood.

As a huge idol fan, I was really looking forward to this anime. Even the cover picture shines with joy. Anyone who likes the genre CGDCT will feel comfortable here. We experience their everyday life, how they always give their best and of course hope that they will keep improving. This anime simply brings you happiness and joy. (And the fanservice is great, you will discover that point surely.)

Finally, I really recommend this anime to everyone with the preference CGDCT plus idol-music combination. Relax, lay back and simply enjoy!

As a massive idol fan, the premise of OchiFuru intrigued me. The only other "unpopular idols" anime I had seen before this was Ongaku Shoujo, which was terrible in its own right. But I had hoped that OchiFuru would change my mind about this niche of idol anime.

No. OchiFuru is a dumpster fire. I am one who believes that fiction should not be held to the same moral standards as reality, so ecchi typically does not bother me. But when I'm watching a music/idol anime I expect singing, dancing, a little bit of friendship building, and the occasional gaybaiting. OchiFuru is almost entirely fanservice of ... underage girls. Every other scene is either a zoom in on jiggling boobs or a panty shot. Those scenes in between those? Sister complexes, shame play and loli baiting.

And you know what? If that's your cup of tea, then go for it! I won't judge if that's what you prefer. But personally, as a massive fan of the idol genre, this anime is abhorrent in my eyes. The idol genre may be bloated, but OchiFuru is a significant stain on its name.

If you're looking for a cutesy idol anime, then I recommend Aikatsu. Not this.

First of all, I want to clarify that I usually don't give generous scores.

Story: 1
This show is about four girls that move together to start an idol group. For an idol anime I would give the story a 1, and I’m giving it 1 because is the minimum score, if not it would be 0. Hey, anime producers you should try watching Love live, Zombieland saga or Idolish7 so you can at least know that idol shows HAVE a story.

Characters: 2
Ok, we have 4 girls which can be differenced by their color hair, and from their bra size. The characters here are absolutely generic and ... have zero backstory and development. Probably 2 weeks after finishing the show I’m not going to remember any of them. They were just made to allure and provoke the male target audience so they can sell figures and obviously this show so they can get some money.

I’m not a fan of feel studio, anyways I've seen shows like Hinamatsuri and Oregairu and tbf, they have a decent level of animation. The situation here is that this anime is low-budget, you can check this just by looking at their clothes, their patterns are so stiff, and guess why? Because clothes patterns are a jpg image inserted of top of their clothes. Then, tbh there is not much stuff to animate, but again its low-budget.

The op is very catchy, but it’s one of “that openings”. The background ost of the show is totally forgettable, and sounds probably are free sounds you can find on freesoundslibrary.com.

Enjoyment: 4
This show has a "derp" comedy, which can be funny and amusing one time, maybe two times, but three times in the same episode... please stop. It can make me laugh maybe one time per chapter but the fanservice is so redundant and sometimes the comedy is so deplorable which makes the show hard to enjoy.

Conclusion:
If there are shows like love live, Zombieland saga, IDOLiSH7, Skip beat or Aikatsu, go watch them instead of this, and if you have already watched them, rewatch them, its definitely better than watching this.

There is a real charm about this show that just draws me in with every episode. It's fun, it's relaxing, and it's great all round. Let me explain how.

The story followers four girls at the current time, each failing in a certain career choice, along with their manager type character, as she sets them up as a new idol group, starting from the ground up, so of course we'll see them progress, and see if they can become famous or not to rake in some money. That's pretty much the plot, sounds simple, but it's always more fun when it's seeing them going from nothing, ... to seeing them hopefully achieve their dreams. It's sweet.

The characters really carry the show too, it reminds me a lot of Zombieland saga, with how vast the characters are in terms of their reactions, their personalities, and how they are presented in the show in general. With it's comedic elements really pulling the show forward which has resulted in a few laughs here or there. It's honestly that good of a cast, which makes for an entertaining watch from start to finish.

The art and sound is what you would expect from a show like this. It's colourful, bright, welcoming, and the sounds and songs are all top notch as far as I am concerned. Cannot say a bad thing about it.

Fruit tart is honestly one of my faves of the season, I look forward to it every Monday, and it really is super fun. Go watch it with me! You'll love it.

Ochifuru was a thoroughly enjoyable experience throughout and gave Love Live Nijigaku a run for its money as the best idol show of the season.

Coming into this season, I had never heard of the Ochifuru idol project before. Based on the character’s designs and the fact that I watch every show every season, I gave it a shot. I could not be happier that I did. Every single week I was blown away by how genuinely hilarious this show is. The girls are great and there’s a girl for every type of taste in the show. The antics that the girls get up to never ... get old, and seemingly every week the ridiculousness was taken up a level. I can definitely say there was never a dull moment.

I think the score that you see for the show on MAL is unfairly harsh and probably indicative of people who are not the target audience watching this show. Ochifuru is quite ecchi and does have some pretty overt Yuri themes. If those two things are not your cup of tea, please save your time, and watch something else. For me, that’s exactly what I’m looking for in an anime. I think the ecchi moments were really well done and added a lot of comedy to the anime. The Yuri moments were nice for me as well.

It wouldn’t be an idol anime review if we didn’t talk about the music. I was actually really impressed with some of the performances by the girls in the show. I don’t think they were as good as Nijigaku from this season, but there were definitely some standout tracks that I listen to on a daily basis from this anime.

Overall, I could not be more pleased with Ochifuru. I think it does everything it sets out to do. It’s funny, it’s got hot girls in cute outfits singing, it panders to the male otaku fantasy and it’s just plain fun. In that regard, I’m very happy with this show and hoping for a second season.

Ochifuru gets 10 out of 10.

A show doesn’t have to be complex or meaningful to be good. Sometimes all you need are some endearing characters and a whole bunch of fun and silly setups and it can create an amazing show that’s a complete joy to watch. And that’s basically Fruit Tart. While Fruit Tart may not have the same level of development or depth that other top tier CGDCT have, it does make up for it by being unique and having a lot of fun.

The premise of Fruit Tart is simple, you have a couple of rejects and put them together into an idol group. There they try ... to make their mark on the world and rise up in the ranks. To do something they haven’t been able to do recently in their careers. Succeed! The start does a good job of showing their goal and their struggles and giving backstory into their characterization. While their characters aren’t very deep, the characterization they get early on gives a good baseline for who they are and why they would be fun and endearing. And they are set up well for that. The characters are well designed in their appeal, and most of them are given all of the things they need to succeed: distinct personalities, great character designs, and moe insecurities.

With this set up we are treated to a lot of fun shenanigans between the cast and a lot of very fun interactions. The characters fit together quite well to create adorable and humorous interactions. Pretty much all of the main girls like each other, and have very selfish desires. And often they show case them more or less, whether they think they’re being subtle or not. And personally I find it adorable seeing them care so much about specific parts of each other, as well as the levels of denial they have about it. As dumb as their desires may be, they are consistent, cute, and match up well with their characterization which enhances the cuteness quite well. Take Ino for example. She loves idols so much that she wanted to be one and adores cute girls quite a lot. This matches up well because her interest in cute idols plays into her own motivation to become one. So the very same nature that leads her to covet Roko is the same nature that got her into this business and shaped her mindset. Another good example of this is Roko someone who wants to prove her own maturity due to her stinted growth and who ends up coveting Nina part due to her body which likely lines up with how Roko would like to be, but also because of her motherly demeanor which is a good balance to Roko’s immaturity. There is sort of a cycle through-out the cast of them both admiring and desiring each other and what each other has and the interactions that stem from them are great.

Their behavoir and status also makes them so easy to root for in their goals. They really do live up their status as dropouts and even when they succeed it's through effort both on their parts and on those around them being won over by their loser charm. Their relations with the community around them is quite nice and it's great to see them grow and gain fans despite their limitations. It's very satisfying to see them climb the ranks together as losers especially since they never really lose that label even as they grow. They may still get fans but they're still the loveable endearing losers that they are.

The visuals are pretty strong and do a good job of showcasing the cuteness of the characters. While the characters can be drawn very simply for scenes where they are not showcased, the show really knows to make the characters look adorable when it matters Giving very well drawn and adorable pictures that flesh out well whatever joke or emotion the character has for maximum cuteness. I don’t think the show would work as well without its art as it is a keep component in its success. The sound is also pretty strong and there are some nice idol tracks. The 2D animation for the idol sequences are also pretty cool and are a notable difference from other idol shows, and are one that really showcase the cuteness of the characters. While the art can be inconsistent it knows when to shine to give off maximum cuteness.

I can’t say Fruit Tart was really deep but it was a whole lot of fun. Strong characters and character interactions are what makes a CGDCT good and Fruit Tart excels at both of them. Because while they may not have the depth they certainly are endearing and it’s hard not to enjoy their dumb choices and desires and their weaknesses and charm points. They truly embody the mouse house and I loved watching it. While it doesn’t hit the highest of high points, it is a high tier CGDCT for me, and one that is well worth a watch.

This is not a serious review. His is my terrible opinion. This show has a charm, for the first bit. Then that charm gets worn like an old cassette and what’s left is cringe. Mainly the songs. CRINGE I SAY. And every time a stupid, oh look at her boobs, haha smol roko joke happens I feel like I should be arrested. Regardless, this isn’t a one review. I did very much like the art and the characters do seem like they have something here, exhibited by the earlier episodes charm. Sound wasn’t noticeable but it rarely is with these type of shows.

3 exploiting ... hohos/10

High energy, slice of life show with a theme around idols, but the genre probably doesnt fall into "idol", as songs and performances are very far and few between. Very rapid fire gags featuring cute character designs and endearing personalities and mannerisms to boot. Some gags and situations go a bit far! Lots of yuri undertones for sure, so best to be comfortable with some suggestive scenes. For those familiar with and who enjoy this type of show, this was a real hidden gem.

I say the character designs are cute, but the characters personalities are a bit... refreshingly rotten. My Japanese friend called it a ... "Dirty Hanayamata", which is another older show with similar themes, I couldn't stop laughing at how true that comment felt. Of course if you're familiar with the slightly "fallen" character tropes Ochikobore uses, you'll still find the girls plenty cute, maybe even more so, but the show isn't outwardly trying to charm you with it's cuteness, it's more about exploiting the less than ideal parts. The gap between what you'd normally expect of a popular pristine idol and the reality of the our featured "Dropout" Idols, that's where the majority of jokes fall. In this sense, I would say Fruits Tart is mostly a parody over all else.

Not so high quality are the actual Idol performances. These segments are little more than panning stills of the characters on stage to a couple interesting choreographed parts animated. The inserts barely play over a minute if that. If you're expecting a high quality idol show about dropout idols redeeming themselves with a somewhat rich storyline, well, the plot is there, it just isn't taken too seriously, it even seems to be the punchline more often than not.

Okay, so seeing the score on MAL below a 7, and the show being on no ones radar coming into the season, I think it's very easy to pass this show up , but if you're a fan of slice of life, borderline unwholesome but high energy gags, if you find the character designs to be cute, and you don't expect anything out of the idol performances, this show is really good. Although the sleepy princess show seems to be the runaway cute girl show of the season, and I admit, that show is dang good too and very enjoyable, I find the girls of Fruits Tart to have more personality and more fun. This was likely the most enjoyable show I watched this year. It's not a legendary CGDCT show, but it's pretty close and on my short list of really good shows that do this sort of thing well and keep the viewer constantly entertained. Definitely worth giving a couple episodes if you enjoy similar shows.

Ochikobore Fruit Tart, or as I am going to call it for the sake of this review, Idol Dropout is the story of a failing group of Idols. From the episodes I've seen so far, the story seems kind of generic and bland which makes me question why I keep coming back to it every week. I've seen a couple of idol anime and this one by far stands out the least.

I will continue to stick with this anime until the end to see if it gets any better, and if it does, I will update this review, otherwise heres a list of other idol ... anime's you can get far more enjoyment out of.

-Girlish Number, this one is by far the closest to idol dropout in the way where its a story about a failing idol group, but girlish numbers characters stand out much more and the story is more entertaining

The anime is pretty light and easy to watch even with the idol theme.
The Mouse dormitory situation always on the downside but the characters are just so lewd,thirsty and funny so you don't get that heavy mood that much. The anime keep showing off the yuri fanservice so I'm always horny and want more when watching this anime. I hope that this series get an OVA, Movie or Season 2 if possible. Even though the anime ended with a happy ending, it does feel kinda abrupt. They are currently still involve in a big scale project and there are much more to tell on what ... is about to happen.

With this show, Oshibudo, Lapis Relights, Failure/Unpopular Idols are slowly becoming one of my favourite go-to subgenres. Unlike your conventional idol series, these shows often take a look at the girls' lives outside of the idol context and often make for good TV by virtue of a blend of comedy and SoL.

Ochikobore Fruit Tart definitely stands out as one of the most risque productions from a Kirara adaptation. Many moments of fanservice, crass humour, and of course toilet jokes are thrown around. But execution-wise they all pretty much hit their landing, and the fanservice is more cute than erotic anyway. The crassness of it ... all surprisingly gels well with the dark humour that crop up surprisingly often (though of course in context the implications of the dark underbelly of the idol industry remain just that, implications). Comedic timing is good here, with nice beats punctuating the scene to let the comedy flow nicely. Nina's boob jokes got old pretty quickly for my tastes though. I do like Ino's dual role of a Boke and Tsukkomi depending on the situation at play. Ino's also the source of many, many of the show's toilet humour, which is a guilty pleasure of mine despite the vacuousness of it all. I had a dumb grin glued to my face for each episode.

The main characters are all incredibly likable and Roko is just so impossibly cute with her height complex and shameful past to the point where I wanna go all Hauu~ take her home with me. But the real highlight of the cast is definitely Hoho, with her being a failure of a manager just barely managing to keep Nezumi-sou afloat and possibly the root of its many issues. Her dame-na-otona (failure adult) vibe is so strong, that I do anticipate each episode to see what zany schemes she comes up with. Being voiced by the one the only Hikasa Yoko (who also gets typecast into these sorts of roles in CGDCT shows) helps a lot too in bringing her to life. Hemo's stalker behaviour towards Ino alongside Ino's obliviousness to it all is immensely satisfying despite the repetitiveness of it at times.

Of course the downside to these failure/unpopular idol shows is that the music is never as good as a conventional idol show. Fruit Tart is no exception to this, as most of the songs (apart from that Broccoli song) are particularly memorable or even good. They kind of exist to drag out the running time which could have been better spent on the CGDCT sequences. The OP is pretty nice though.

While Fruit Tart is largely crude, in terms of presentation and humour alike, I still had a great time with each episode and would consider it to be one of the better Kirara adaptations. The art is pleasant, the humour never fails to make me smile, and the fanservice is a guilty pleasure that feeds right back into the comedy.

Great, another cute girl idol show.
It's a pretty generic show in general, but the girls aren't that bad. Compared to other CGDCT shows this one features a cast of characters that aren't just literal one liners. The main problem I have is the whimsical and lack of drive and ambition that should be present in a group of girls that are grasping at their last straw for popularity. This goes for any idol anime in general, to be honest. It's like this show slammed the story of being an idol into a slice of life CGDCT show, and as such, it's a flawed concept. ...
Art is honestly, terrible. They do the side mouth thing way too often, and the animation in the mouths in general are just very below average. It's like that pop cat meme, where when a character talks, it's like their mouths open super and and shut tight instantly. Their noses are strangely tilted extremely upward when viewed in a side angle. Their nose is almost parallel in angle to their forehead. There's just a lot of cut corners, but I guess the dancing isn't CGI'd so that's good, at least.
Overall, I just wish the idea behind being and idol was more serious and less of a predetermined thing where they would show success.

This anime is about a newly made idol group with debt from the start. Its members are dropouts in their own way so the challenge is how to be popular with their skills and pay off their debt. The plot is good though if you think about it, having them as idols, there is only a small frame about their training for the song or even their screen time for performances, so it's quite a pity as this anime lacks for more of those scenes. It cannot also provide you with a whole MV of their song in the episode.

Characters - in terms of ... character, each of them has their own unique trait, which is a good thing. Cause if you play with who's who just by using their traits then you'll enjoy specifying each of them.

This anime has a comedy, fan service and also makes you crave for more yuri scenes.

Ochikobore Fruit Tart is a fun slice of life anime about a bunch of cute girls doing cute and funny idol things.

This review may contain light spoilers.

Story: 7/10. This group of failed "quasi-celebrities" experiences the idol industry in a light atmosphere and with constant jokes, but the story has certain passages that can be frightening from the perspective of the characters. I like how this anime manages to, at the same time, reliably portray certain industry rot and joke with them. Like when the manager tells the girls, in preparation for their first concert, that they should choose panties that may appear because they need ... to appear. After all, there is a demand for that. The concept of demand is a recurring theme in the anime and the manager of these girls is constantly trying to make them meet the most varied demands of the public: ranging from autographs and handshakes to taking pictures of the sleeping girls to sell as merch or make dakimakura of each of them - without them knowing it. The anime is full of jokes about the demands of the public, the manager, the agency and even the girls themselves, sometimes for each other. It is impossible to end an episode without having a good laugh.

Art: 9/10. I really like the artistic style of this anime. The colors are cheerful and lively, while the art in general is very beautiful, despite its simplicity. The polka dot patterns and stylization in the character design remind me of Shaft animes such as Hidamari Sketch and contribute to Ochikobore Fruit Tart having a visual that draws attention and does not let its lack of a large budget be noticeable in a negative way.

Sound: 10/10. For an anime about a segment of the music industry, Ochikobore Fruit Tart got it right by having MONACA production studio responsible for the music, which always makes wonderful music. They are the same ones that made the music for Anne Happy, Nyaruko-san, Working!!, Oregairu, YuYuYu and some animes from the Monogatari series, among many others. Both in the songs performed by the idols and in the soundtrack, the anime shines. Ochikobore Fruit Tart has one of my favorite OST of the year.

Characters: 7/10. "There is demand for all of you, big or small," said the group's manager. The group is diverse. They are nothing extraordinary but they play their roles in a very functional way, besides being all charismatic and fun. They are exactly what this type of anime needs, no more, no less. I like the individuality of each one and the interactions between them are always fun.

Enjoyment: 9/10. The anime is cute, beautiful, fun, very well directed by Kawaguchi Keiichirou who gives the rhythm and tone that the work needs, this was one of my best experiences of the season.

Overall: 8/10. I really enjoyed watching Ochikobore Fruit Tart until the end. The charisma of the characters, the music, the jokes and the comic timing of the anime completely won me over. For those who like CGDCT with a light dose of ecchi, good music and an idol industry approach that makes fun of the fact that girls must "sell themselves" in a variety of ways, Ochikobore Fruit Tart does not disappoint.

Unfortunately this show looks really bad, like have you ever noticed how weird the producers eyebrows are. Aside from that everything tends to look very flat and the patterns of the outfits are pretty bad.

There were some decent jokes, but way too much straigth man pointing out the joke-ism, especially unnecessary since all the characters are roughly equally depraved, which too could have been used for humor but was rarely.

This is primarily a fetish show with a slight idol aesthetic, which is fine, but most of the fetishes did not appeal to me like smell fetishism, light yandere or the main girl constantly pissing herself. ... I kinda like the contrast between broccoli girl and cow tits girls though. As far as the idol part goes it's kinda lame that the group can always lean on successful fans/family members for everything.

Is it a generic idol show with some comedy? Yes, it is absolutely.
We get plenty of cute scenes and it can be quite funny. The maid outfits are amazing as always and so are the cat outfits. Won't even ask how the tails are attached though.

The art is very nice and pleasant since it is from 2020 and suits the simplicity of the show.

The Op and Ed are good, I found the actual songs far too cringe to watch so I did actually skip those mostly apart from the Broko song.

Characters are all extremely generic and easy to ... understand. They all have very easy life situations and cover all the bases for a varied audience. Hayu Nukui for me was the most interesting character and cutest.

Overall it is a good show and is very generic but then so are many idol shows. Comes across like propaganda to support your local idol group if I am honest. I did enjoy how they mentioned the chance of being renewed for another season as slim during the show.
