One - Garbage media: Wow, this anime was a disgraceful nonsensical shitfest. Disgusted my most basic sensibilities and embodies a larger issue I have with the medium as a whole. A damning & downright offensive example of the worst this culture has to offer. (Noblesse, Listeners, Taboo Tatoo)
Two - Waste of time: Poorly written, poor quality. Redundant tropes or cliches? This thing is very bad, vague, shoddy, dull, awful, soulless, I cannot respect it on any level. Just don't watch it, it doesn't deserves your time, mine's maybe. (Kakegurui, Akame ga kill, Megalo Box)
Three - Bad: Bad: Much like a two, impossible to take on seriously or feel immersed in at all. This was actually made with some geuine thought or effort. It undoubtedly failed, but it actually tried on some level, some scenes probably made it bearable to watch but I wouldn't recomment it. (World Trigger, Overlord, Seishun Buta Yarou)
Four - Death Parade: I know most people consider Five to be the "average" score, but I choose to interpret it as the literal intersection between the "good" and the "bad". (Kimi no Na Wa, Fate UBW, Kimetsu no Yaiba)
Five - Good: Has my respect and can watch it seriously. Its good and deserves a non-negative score, but im not blind nor biased to pretend they're actually high-quality. They are usually or a striking memorable work which had ambition but little technique or expertise to actually craft something decent, or a work which was living on just pure unforgettable shock value. (Angel Beats, Kyoukai no Kanata, Beastars)
Six: Very good: A Six is great, & while it isn't masterful enough to be totally immersive, a Six in my baseline of enjoyment & quality, the point at which I'm finally able to engage with the entertainment in front of me. (Kami nomi, Jujutsu Kaisen, Devilman Crybaby)
Seven: Peak. A seven is an extremely high-quality show which I was sincerely invested in, or which I simply must recognize as masterful. I liked it a lot, but it probably had some minor flaws or just didn't had that wow factor.
(Death Note, Princess Principal, Mob Psycho)
Eight, Nine & Ten - Favourites: I really care about the work in wquestion, & this feeling is what defines my favourite pieces of media. These are works of art I have in mind often, they geniunely & meaningfully influence my real life. I can connect with & care for their characters; I can internalize their themes as if they were life lessons; I can fully realize & appreciate their concepts & fantasies; & I can treat the stories they tell with the seriousness & gravitas I could afford to nonfiction. This works are spread across three rating levels so i can frely delineate between the very subtle & diverse ways in which these works resonate with me.
If you wanna talk about it we can because I’ve been wanting to see what I’ve been missing from the series but no one really seems to point anything out when I talk to them… Orr I can read your review actually
Ah, I see.
I actually wasn't curious about watching it or anything. I just remember people being like "You have to give this one a good rating, to stick it to the fake anime fans..." or something like that XD
Yep, part 4 is probably my favourite part. Everything just...fits there.
Ah, I see. Yeah, I like Big O so far, I can easily recommend Wonder Egg and yeah, Heavens Design Team could be better, but for what it is I really enjoy watching it.
I also watched an older movie called Ultra-Nyan recently. It's cute, but it's definitely a kids film. Though I'm curious to watch the 2nd movie at some point.
Basically, Power Rangers where they have to get naked to fight bugs, that want to take peoples hornyness away XD
It got an anime last year, but that one apparently sucked.
And yeah, Nakamura-Kun is pretty fun.
Nice. I haven't read either one, but I know about Alita and Pluto. Same goes for Lain and Magi.
Oh yeah, I watched Golden Boy too. It was a pretty hilarious show. Kintaro was such a good written pervert main-character.
