here's my review of anime adaptation of wonderful light novel series i try to keep my review very straightforward and short covering only reason why you should give this show a try and why this season is much better than previous season's which is ruining the adaptation by only focusing on fan service and other mainstream shits rather than story
dxd 4th season is adaptation of 9th volume of dxd LN Pandemonium at the School Trip
It has a nice plot and great characters that will attract you with their unique personalities its a wonderful story with wide no of different characters, setups and
location combining large no. of mythical figures and legends such as angel demons gods of different mythology and legends dragon youkai etc and concept like apocalypse infinity dream creation etc in an awesome way .. its universe is probably you can say most vibrant and large as compare to any anime
The ecchi scenes are hilarious. Some people say that the ecchi is exaggerated especially the idea of Issei being a pervert but as you watch the anime you will find that he is a great boy and usually tries his best to control his desires with girls (but he fails numerous times).Note that there are many animes that have more sexual scenes than it with a very weak plot ,so this anime does his job really very well
You are familiar's with most of the characters as it is fourth season there are lot more romantic development lot's of new character's are introduced and there is lot of focus on issei's relationship with rias. As for Issei he goes from being an overly-perverted MC to a perverse, respected, beloved, mature and powerful MC who gives his all to protect his comrades and truly cares about all of them deepening his relationship with every one and forming new allies and also about ANTAGONIST introduced especially in this volume is diverse as the protagonists and several of them are antagonists you just love to hate them
about Issei's harem (∞/whats so ever...XD)
Ise's harem is handled in such a wonderful way.every one is dynamic and got there own speciallity There's no crazy tsundere beatings or normal harem antics, just friendly competition amongst the girls for their spot in the harem. All the girls are just perfect. Every single one of them is so unique and they all play a huge role of importance in the series.
animation(7/10) and art(8/10) or youtube trailer..:P
well its kind of decent animation i would not say its great like those of kyoto animtion or ufotable but its better than before as it shows light novel content perfectly so put it simply you get what you expected
It's hilarious, it's unpredictable, it's extremely intense, all the characters are fantastic, the ecchi and romance are wonderful
you will enjoy all the characters especially ANTAGONIST as they are not just mindless freaks and got complex characteristics action is intense along with awesome fan service..:D
overall(why you should watch it)(8/10)
Highschool DxD is in no way your ordinary ecchi series plot is brilliant with intense characters and astounding plot preserving story along with super power and harem echhi stuff which is quite rare. its really a good and refreshing show
Overall Grade: 8
If you watched High School DxD for the 'plot' then yeah Studio Passione has done a good job with this adaptation and if the only thing you cared about were the girls and boobs then you can either love it or hate it but I think you just need to get used to it and in time I think you will learn to accept it for what it is.
If you think about it the art style of the previous seasons was just not as well detailed as this one, the action sequences are really well animated which was there in the previous ones as well
but not to this level of detail, this sort of bright and colorful art style I think suits the series well since it is a light hearted harem series and a more colorful art style is a better choice than something like the previous one which wasn't really that unique, I mean no one even thought twice about the old art style it seriously wasn't that great.
You want fan service? yeah it's there alright, literally everywhere from the opening of the first episode to even in between the action sequences it's everywhere, you wanna fap to Rias, Akeno or dare I say Asia and Koneko you can because the japanese voice acting is amazing and very seductive even the writing is good in a sexual way so yeah no shortage of well animated boobs and fan service scenes.
Yeah I mean I guess I need to talk about story and characters and they were definitely good pretty much what you would expect them to be like after season 3 Rias is a lot more open of her love for Issei and Issei is always gonna be the same. Every other character is given some focus and development which I really liked and the music has improved the most by far, both the op and the ed are good but the ost that plays during the action sequences and important moments was amazing even the one playing in the background of character interactions was good.
Overall I like it High School DxD was never really this great amazing thing with such high level of quality but for this one from what I've seen I can say that it has at least something more than other harems that makes it a bit superior. This is definitely not a must watch and if you are looking to just enjoy yourself and not think about anything on what you're watching and just have some dumb fun then this is worth giving a try.
The highly acclaimed harem series, with a different studio and art direction, yet it still establishes the foundations of its source material. Is it any good? Let's find out, shall we?
To anyone who has watched High School DxD and/or are fans of it, the story is pretty much linear to the light novel source, only except that TNK, the studio behind the previous 3 seasons, decided to go off-route and put traces of blemishes upon blemish into every season (with Season 3 the worst), so much so that it pisses off fans of both anime-onlys (albeit a bit) and especially fans of the light novel.
this time, studio Passione has taken the realms of the 4th season of High School DxD: Hero, continuing on what was founded on the foundations of the previous 3 seasons, with the new art style and direction that will at first be VERY obvious and off-putting that has generated a lot of hoopla amongst fans (myself included) that will subsequently take the first few episodes to address its issues, but for all its worth, watching and looking at comparisons almost everywhere, it's noticeable but still looks fair towards the origins. The sad part is that you're gonna need to get used to it.
The music itself is the usual DxD harem-romance flare: you're gonna hear a lot of boobage, the usual gang of girls that heat up (especially Rias) at Issei's "power-up!" aforementioned BOOST power...!!! Well, what can I say, to anyone who has watched DxD before will know the standards. The OST honestly is a "POWER-UP!" this season too, really liking the OP and ED, but please don't copy the running-in-the-background formula (I'm really starting to be pissed off after watching UQ Holder which does the SAME EXACT thing).
The characters...umm, they are the same (and they NEED to be), because it seems that the story has some sort of continuation (although the time gap between BorN and Hero is a few years in production), and hopefully, this time, with the new staff helming this series it won't disappoint.
Overall, I'd say this: Watch if you're a hardcore fan of DxD (like me), you just have to get used to studio Passione's take on the art style, and if you're fine with that, it's the DxD you know and love, with harem and boobs galore.
So, this will be my very first review for the very first anime series that I watched. And I'm telling you, it is full of fan service from the very beginning. And it is one of the main reason why many people love it or I might just judging people, who knows. The plot is simple to understand, similar to those anime that I remember watching as a child like One Piece and Dragon Ball, all aiming to be the most powerful person on the universe well except for One Piece of course. The only thing that is different is how the plot presented. Unlike
those anime I mentioned earlier, this one is full of melons, litterally, full of melons. And because of that, you might just end up watching it for the fan service and not for the plot.
The Art is not the same as the previous season due to the fact this 4th season was created by a different studio and using different art style. And that was most fans noticed and argue about.
The Sound is pretty much heard by the majority. Those squick and sound of those melons when they been affected by gravity is so satisfying...
The Characters don't need development as for this moment considering this is a 4th season of this anime series. I'm talking about Issei and his harem. The only thing that needs development was the plot and for those new people who suddenly show up as this anime progress...
And considering the things that I just point out, you might be thinking that I gave this anime a good score because of its numerous fan service and you are half wrong and half right on that statement. But it is not just about the fan service, it is also about those funny moments that this anime gives. You know, every time you finish watching each episode, you have a smile on your face because you enjoy watching it.
And considering you reach this far, just a small piece of advice, while reading reviews like this, kindly take it with a pinch of salt. You know, to not cause any trouble or what so ever. And for those new on the series, congratulation reaching this far, what I meant is, watching this far. Well, I guess, I should thanks the fa- I mean the plot for it, right??
In these opening weeks of the Spring 2018 anime season, Steins;Gate 0 starts off as the by far highest rated anime, although Megalo Box is the new heavy hitter if we look past sequels. This and more in the opening edition of The Seasonal Quarterly.
