I read those 40 pages just now. I guess the characters were anime-like, but it was boring all in all, so I won't consider the adaption.

So only 40 pages? The story sounds like it has this air of mystery to it, so I'm thinking that 40 pages isn't adequate.

The synopsis is pretty interesting:

In the story, the protagonist finds himself lying on the beach one day. He is picked up by Arashi, who manages a restaurant called Kurage no Shokudō. When asked who he is, the protagonist tells a lie that he lost his memory — but he remembers everything, including the fact that his twin brother died. (ANN)

Looks rather interesting will definitely watch it.

This show sounds like it has potential. Now let's just hope it doesn't fuck things up.

I like the artwork and I like jellyfishes (lol). But I like the idea the main guy is lying, I wonder why he wants to do that.

Hiromi Taniguchi is a director for his first time here, but since he was always in charge of something related to animation, I think the art will be on par with the artwork of the original work. :)

Hoping it'll be a full TV series.

Not really sure about this one. Aside from very vague premise and limited amount of info omitted so far, nothing i find really eyecatchy from the news. Though for some reason the image put on ANN, with all the beachside housing complex and three folks in light clothing (not school uniform. Heh~) gives me the impression of coming-of-age story ala Tsuritama or Sakamichi no Apollon. The mention of Yozakura Quartet Director and Scriptwriter doesn't affect my anticipation regardless, since they're only as good as the material they have on hand to work with. YQ anime was pretty faithful with the manga so the only thing i could conclude is that both of them simply replicating the overall feel and pacing of the manga, and that's all. Oh well, this stuff doesn't look like shitty crap on the surface so i'm definitely looking forward to it.

Hmm...

Not sure how I feel about this. Kinda curious to read a synopsis but we'll see. Is this a full TV series, OVA, or a movie?

I am hoping for a full TV series.

Contest winner and splendid animation (so it seems)? All for.

I like the mystery! Hope it's well done.

Hearing those names of Animation Director and Script writer of Yozakura Quartet: Hana no Uta makes me really hype for that, since it might be the next Tatsunoko Production anime. They are just awesome this year, starting with Gatchaman in the summer, Yozakura, WUG and this season's Ping Pong, nothing is stopping them. I really hope I'm right and looking forward to that.

Not entirely sure but will check it anyway.
