You seem to have rated a lot of romance titles highly, so I’ll recommend the Fruits Basket remake (2019-21) & ReLife (the including the OVA final arc). And maybe Kobato.

Hi I was hoping to find an anime to get me hooked again into watching more. Not sure if there is a way to check what genre on anime I watch but I'm having a hard time finding a show that I want to binge and that isn't a chore to complete.

@KokoroEnoMesseji Alrighty, not sure if your list is still a work in progress or if you've genuinely only seen 2 anime so far but here are some recommendations:
·Kemono Jihen (genre: action, fanatsy, mystery; definitely deserved a lot more attention when it aired back in 2021)
·The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. (genres: comedy, supernatural; my absolute comfort show. If you're looking for a good comedy anime to watch that does not require you to use too much of your brain since there is not much of a plot line that you need to keep track of, this anime is definitely your go-to)
·Buddy Daddies (genres: action, comedy; the concept is pretty similar to Spy x Family so if you watched it and liked it, you might also enjoy this one. For some odd reason I never managed to get into Spy x Family but Buddy Daddies was pretty enjoyable. It's a pretty slice-of-life anime with a few twists here and there, some action, a lot of heartfelt moments, and good comedy.)
·Mob Psycho 100 (genres: action, comedy, supernatural; yeah, that's just a fav of mine. go watch it, it's good)
