Lets see i was playing runesape in class and couldn't remember my name so was like fuck it ill make a new one and it was a spelling mistake i was going for imperialist but with my great spelling skills just off the top of my head and sounding it out i got imperlast this is about 6 years ago now and then it kinda just grew for some reason or another like on some sites can't use _ and thats not or dynamo_electron was too long it just ended up taking over..

Where did you get that definition from? It looks kind of archaic though, especially the "surrounded" part.
Look, "Harem" is something Americans made up after Tenchi Muyo aired in Cartoon Network, since the concept of a guy with no apparent qualities having more than two girls in love with him was unheard of, so they used that term to mock the series. That's were the "surrounded by girls" or "lives with them" part comes from. Sadly, "critics" like the ones at ANN began using that term in their reviews so they made the term so popular that people began using it as "genre". To use "harem" as a genre is like, saying "love triangles" is a genre, for example.
The thing is, when in anime a character uses the word "harem" a lot of people think they mean what Americans understand as harem, but in Japan when somebody uses the word "harem" they mean the LITERAL definition of the word since as I said before, "harem" as a genre is an American invention that not even Americans themselves know what it means anymore. (In Japan, they DO have the term "Harem ending" though, but that's another story).
That's something you notice when you watch a lot of anime. For example, in the last episode of "The Melancholy of Haruhi-chan" one character makes a game which Americans would call "harem", but at the end it was asked what kind of genre it was, and the answer given was "Love Story". That's the correct way to address the genre, not "harem". In fact, Wikipedia has begun purging the term from their entries since they have FINALLY realized that "harem" is NOT a genre but a slang term. For example, go to the Love Hina entry in Wikipedia and you'll notice the "harem" tag is gone and it was replaced by "Romantic comedy".

Well I enjoyed playing & watching basketball since middle school. So generally, I'm interested in animes that are about it lol. And Slam Dunk is so much more than just basketball. Obviously alot of people wouldn't be watching it if it was solely about basketball and techniques and shit. Also I don't like to add too many stuff on my watching list. Besides most of them are currently airing lol sadly cuz I want more episodes of SnK!! It's definitely receiving lots of love and a few haters on MAL ^^
I thought luffy looked most badass in the most recent One Piece movie. Actually the entire crew looked pretty boss. And yeah as u can see my watching list is piled up plus I gotta finish the on-holds I have. I decided to watch Slam Dunk and I'm not regretting it cuz its so hilarious!
