[10]Masterwork: Nothing is perfect, but there are some excellently crafted anime that I find personal significance in to rate them a 10.I have to have an emotional connection to rate them a 10.
[9]Exemplary: A show that excels in almost every way. It may have a few issues, but they are by far negated by overall greatness. Might also score them a 9 when they are almost a 10 because of that "almost". I have tohave an emotional connection to rate them a 9.
[8]Great: A solid well rounded experience. The show may have a few minor stumbles along the way, but the positives compensate for many flaws.
[7]Good: Overall a very positive experience worth watching inspite of a few noticeable flaws. It may have clear issues, but they are less distracting thanks to highpoints.
[6]Decent: An above average show with good aspects that slightly outweigh the bad. Flawed, but I found it worth watching enough to score it better than a 5, but not enough to see it stand out as a 7.
[5]Average: A mediocre anime that may not be entirely bad, but it could have been so much better with more time, management, talent, or budget. This section is what i call a wasted potential.

Sometimes the only reedeeming quality these offer is ironic enjoyment. Maybe braver people could find an average show in it, but I found nothing.
