Manga 'Uchi no Kaisha no Chiisai Senpai no Hanashi' Gets TV Anime in 2023

Manga author Saisou announced a television anime adaptation for his Uchi no Kaisha no Chiisai Senpai no Hanashi (Story of a Small Senior in My Company) manga on his official Twitter on Monday. The anime is scheduled to premiere in 2023.

Saisou originally posted the series on his official Twitter beginning September 2019 and published it as a doujinshi at Comiket 97 in December that year. Takeshobo began serializing the romantic comedy manga on its STORIA Dash website in April 2020 and released the fifth volume on Monday. The manga has a cumulative 500,000 copies of its volumes in print.

Saisou also posted a spin-off titled Ii Fuufu no Hanashi (A Happy Couple) on his official Twitter beginning November 2019 and published it as a doujinshi at Comiket 98 in May 2020.

Synopsis
"My senpai from work... is tiny and cute."

Shinozaki is an office worker who is taken care of and coddled by his senior team member Shiori Katase: a gorgeous, profoundly kind, loving, and diminutive woman.

Shinozaki certainly hopes that she's not doing it out of duty... but her joy of doing so increasingly exposes her feelings! (Source: MU)

Hopefully not. Can't think of many settings as mind-numbingly boring as an office. And I don't really buy the "adult romance" argument because the character archetypes and dynamics barely change. Even if they do, you don't need to literally set it at an office for that to happen either.

no, it's way different. this is closer to wotakoi if anything. or servant x service. it's oblivious female lead senior X Hard working male lead junior romcom. i think the closest pairing alike is that office couple from getsuyobi no tawawa. female lead body shape make her keep attracting bad people so people around her grown overprotective with her (even her colleague), until she get kouhai who cares more about work and being good junior than try hitting her. so their work collage realize they can trust this male lead, even shipping them.

Been wondering if this would ever get an anime been reading this for a while now. Very excited been keeping up with it whenever I see chapters.

One of the first times I've read the manga before an anime announcement and not from the anime to the manga/LN then the later seasons come out or heard about an anime announcement and rushed to read the manga. What is this feeling. XD

I wonder if Short Senpai will get one it has 3 series and a real estate place besides more typical offices would be nice to see. Even though here we have a different Senpai than the typical loli presented characters which is good even if it's still offices and a Senpai wow what a change. XD

Glad it is finally getting one, read a bunch of chapters so way ahead but still.

Whether short form or not or just using whatever they can of scenes like My Senpai is Annoying and other short chapter manga.

Read this manga before Senpai is Annoying and it got an anime first so interesting to see it get one after.

This manga/doujin and web comic came out 2 years after Senpai is Annoying though so makes sense even besides material content available I guess of order of release of anime too the way they get to different series or make the call or whatever even if different companies, no idea but still.

high school rom com doesnt do it for me anymore.

Well, that's why it's become a big thing in the last decade. People just wanted more adult romance that fit their experience. Although often this is either fanservice with office ladies, or romance with adults acting like teenagers.
