The official website for the television anime adaptation of Sunborn Network's Girls' Frontline smartphone game unveiled the main cast, a teaser visual (pictured), and teaser promotional video on Thursday. The anime series by Asahi Production will premiere in 2021.

Cast
M4A1: Haruka Tomatsu (Sword Art Online: Alicization)
M16A1: Nozomi Yamane (Azur Lane the Animation)
ST AR-15: Emiri Katou (Log Horizon: Entaku Houkai)
M4 SOPMOD II: Yukari Tamura (Dokyuu Hentai HxEros)

Sunburn Network Technology company began developing the smartphone game in early 2015 with it being released in Mainland China first in May 2016. It was subsequently released in South Korea the following June, and in English in May 2018. The game was then released in Japan under the title Dolls Frontline in August 2018 due to the original name having been trademarked by a different registrant.

Girls' Frontline serves as a prequel to MICA Team's 2013 role-playing game Codename: Bakery Girl, an enhanced version of the doujin circle's kinetic visual novel Girl of the Bakehouse.

BigFireBird Animation (Dahuo Niao Donghua) produced a 24-episode net anime series that ran between July and December 2019 with a second season having streamed between October and December of last year.

PV looks cool asf, hopefully they would follow the plot in game neatly for this one.

I hope it will be better than Azur Lane.

This could be really good if done right. The game has a surprisingly grimdark story unlike most of the other 'weapon waifu' series.

The game is actually pretty cool as well, you can do well without spending money and you don't need to spend money to get waifus (only if you want to get the special skins but that's just cosmetic)

Are the characters actually named after real-life guns??? Lmao wtf....I've also been hearing about this game quite a lot recently and it's one of those Chinese gacha games??

I mean I doubt I'll ever be interested in playing Girl's Frontline even if the PV looks good nor I'd play the mobage.

The PV looks so good this I really have to admit. Pretty sure when the anime airs they'd do what Yostar did giving limited edition in-game skin for characters in-game when you bought the BD but let's see for now.

It looks a lot better than I expected, I hope the actual anime will look similiar to this pv.

don’t really like mobile games but since this is getting an anime adaption I guess it’s worth checking out however I’m not expecting much from this

Praying they do the GFL story justice. We're in for a lot of pain.

Damn, just seeing that iconic scene in the PV... ooooh yeah.

Idk if I should get hopes up but I like the game, hope things go well with the anime.

good, I don't like mobile games, this will do it for me. But mobile fans always say they botch the adaptation soooo we'll see lol
