Original TV Anime 'Odd Taxi' Announced for April 2021

Pony Canyon opened an official website for an original television anime titled Odd Taxi on Friday, revealing the cast, staff, a teaser visual (pictured), and promo. The anime series is set to air in April 2021.

Synopsis
In a city which should be familiar, there is the feeling of something a little different.

Kotokawa is a taxi driver who lives an ordinary life, taxing some quirky customers around. A slightly eccentric stranger who has no relatives nor any relations with other people, Kotokawa's hobby is to listen to Rakugo on the radio before going to bed. For the time being, the only people he can consider as friends are his family doctor Gouriki, and his high school classmate Kakihana.

Kabasawa, a college student who wants a buzz, Shirakawa, a nurse who's hiding something, comedian group Homo Sapiens, who isn't selling well, the city hoodlum Dobu, and the rookie idol group Mystery Kiss—the conversations with these people, which should not have meant much, lead to a girl who disappeared.

I think they meant Riho Iida, Suzuko Mimori, and Moeka Koizumi. Moeka voices Shioriko in Love Live All Stars and the character haven't appeared in Nijigasaki anime.

Thank you for clarifying. I'm actually quite familiar with Moepii (and Nijigasaki in general), but I only recently learned about Rippi. She's the one I missed lol.

This could be hit or miss but the synopsis sounds fine enough. Hopefully it'll be at least watchable

At first, I was confused on why they called it “Odd Taxi” but after watching the trailer, I think I understand why.

.....I could see that, the PV's animation looks kind of like one of those old CG Disney properties, or the movies where they integrated CGI with 2D animation

It seems interesting and the music was good too but will it be full CGI? The teaser gave me Disney vibes...

This looks ODDly interesting huh. I'm gonna try this out, more like a seinen SoL with some mystery beneath it. Might be nice to try something like this, hope they don't make it bad though.
