Third 'Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka' Season Gets OVA

Following the conclusion of the 12th and final episode of Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka III (Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? III) on Saturday, an original video anime was announced. The new original video anime for the third season is scheduled for an April 28, 2021 release.

The anime series, abbreviated as DanMachi, adapts Fujino Omori's adventure fantasy light novel, which he originally submitted for the 4th GA Bunko Award in 2012 and received a publication offer. SB Creative began publishing the novel with illustrations by Suzuhito Yasuda in January 2013 and released the 16th volume on October 14. DanMachi has a cumulative 12 million copies of its volumes in print.

The first anime season aired in 13 episodes Spring 2015, followed by the 12-episode second season in Summer 2019. The first OVA was released in December 2016, and a second OVA followed on January 29. The Orion no Ya side story anime film premiered in Japan last February.

Of course the OVA is going once again to be totally fan service with no relation of the source material at all. I mean why adapt the important parts that the anime skipped when you can show naked girls and plenty of bouncing instead right?

Oh boy, how excited am I for this OVA, Sure looks ecchi. I also wonder if there'll be a season 4 for Danmachi because I'm madly in love with this show!

The OVA for season 2 was a masterpiece of Dada art. Much unlike the actual season 2 itself. I really hope this one is in the same spirit, ecchi + surreal = win.
