The official Twitter account of Hiroyuki's Kanojo mo Kanojo manga announced a television anime adaptation on Tuesday. The anime series will premiere in 2021.

Synopsis
After harboring an unrequited love for years, Naoya Mukai finally gets to date his childhood friend, Saki Saki. However, just as he tries to commit himself to this relationship, he receives an abrupt confession from Nagisa Minase.

At first, Naoya tries to reject her but is soon overcome by feelings of not wanting to hurt Nagisa. Trying to avoid betraying his girlfriend's trust in him, Naoya thinks up a "solution" to make both girls happy—two-timing. Naturally, Saki rebuffs this idea, but through Naoya's and Nagisa's persistence, she reluctantly submits.

With this, a three-way affair begins between Naoya, his girlfriend, and his "other" girlfriend, as they develop a relationship that deviates from the social norm. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

Hiroyuki (Mangaka-san to Assistant-san to, Aho Girl) began drawing the romantic comedy manga in Weekly Shounen Magazine on March 4 this year. Kodansha shipped the third volume on Tuesday.

Lol came to check what the replies were saying and it's interesting to see peoples opinions of those who haven't read the manga.

Just saying, the MC isn't like Kazuya (judging from episode 1 of Rental Girlfriend since I only watched that) and the series is more of a comedy than a romance.

Anyways yeah, the anime is gonna be fun!

Me: am I gonna wait
Me: No

And again my mistake with rental girlfriend repeat

Ah yes the only thing that was left in SOL animes was the two timing thing, wasn't it? How come these authors doesn't realise that these types of ideas will only lead to the downfall of the series? Didn't even read the manga and I can already tell that the shitty idol animes would be better than this piece of trash.

Yay, another shitty harem anime.

Sure. Better to watch another shitty idol or shitty CGDCT anime.

Anything without Kazuya-like protagonists is great.
Funny jokes and cute music by cute girls >>>>>> guys pissing in their pants because some woman said "good morning" to them

The manga has a pretty low score, but it doesn't look that bad to me. I think I'm going to kinda enjoy it. The art is also quite decent.

Seeing how the manga has a mean score below 7 you can tell hat you can skip out on this one

I just read three chapters of the manga. I'm out. The guy already got hot girlfriend with Saki and he still wants more. Stupid Harem Nonsense.

Sounds too stupid to miss. I'll try reading it for now

Imma need you to drop more of them hints my dude, like the title of the manga for instance lol

Well it would be a spoiler. lol and the manga is not yet completely scanlated. I can DM you if you really want to know though.

Wait, for real? The manga's only out like, 6 months ago? It reached chapter 35 and it was hilarious at first but got bored real quick after it went into classic harem route. Ngl, it's the manga I'm currently thinking to drop but I'll watch the anime nonetheless.

I feel sorry for seiyuus who're gonna perform in this show. They'll have to scream their lungs out lol. And yes, like all other Hiroyuki's adaptations, this'll just be 12 minutes per episode. The source just doesn't have very much content to adapt.

From the same mangaka as Aho Girl and Mangaka and Assistant, HMM. I definitely love Mangaka and Assistant way more than Aho Girl.

But still, 35 chapters out, and this is WAY TOO FAST to call for such an anime adaptation. Though I wouldn't be surprised if it was half-length long the same as Aho Girl.

Hiroyuki is on a roll! DAMN.

lol, so soon?
"Kanojo mo Kanojo" a.k.a the "The Rising of the GigaChad" might not be as hilarious as Aho Girl, but still a worthy harem I will watch next year.

Not surprised. Hilarious premise that really does a great job at grabbing people's attention. I enjoy this mangaka's style of comedy so this should be fun.

Since the manga has less than 40 chapters this is proly gonna be a 12 min adaptation. Thou XD watching Naoya, Nagisa and Saki in anime will be amusing.

damn this guy is really lucky to have his forth I think anime adaptation now

cause hollllly this series is fukin shite.

Like seriously, it takes a really fukin scummy topic and puts such a light hearted tone to it, but it's not even that funny either. And at least from where I've read, the whole time Saki seemed really fukin uncomfortable with her boyfriend......literally begging her to have an open relationship. Like seriously wtf? He basically guilt trips her into letting him date someone else while she's dating her

Definitely one of the series' where I find it difficult to let the tone change my view on the plot
