Winners of the 14th Seiyuu Awards

On March 7, winners of the 14th Seiyuu Awards were announced via Nippon Cultural Broadcasting's internet radio program, "Chou! A&G+." To protect the participants and limit the spread of the new coronavirus infection (COVID-19), the executive committee decided to suspend or postpone the live ceremony which is normally held at the Nippon Cultural Broadcasting (JOQR) Media Plus Hall in Tokyo.

Winners are listed with their respective talent agency and an example of anime they acted in during 2019 (not necessarily why they were given the award).

Best Actor
Natsuki Hanae (Across Entertainment; Kimetsu no Yaiba, Runway de Waratte)

Best Actress
Aoi Koga (81 Produce; Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunousen)

Best Supporting Actor
Kaito Ishikawa (Pro Fit; Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari, Haikyuu!!)
Makoto Furukawa (Toy's Factory; Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunousen, Fruits Basket 1st Season)

Best Supporting Actress
Atsumi Tanezaki (Haikyo; Beastars, Kono Oto Tomare!)

Best New Actor
Awarded to actors who debuted within the past five years.
Takeo Ootsuka (I'm Enterprise; Kaze ga Tsuyoku Fuiteiru)
Gakuto Kajiwara (Haikyo; Enen no Shouboutai)
Kotarou Daigo (A-Light; Tenki no Ko)
Katsumi Fukuhara (Axl One; W'z)

Best New Actress
Awarded to actresses who debuted within the past five years.

Miyuri Shimabukuro (Office Osawa; Carole & Tuesday)

Awarded for work in games.

Synergy Award
Awarded to a work which exhibits the appeal of the seiyuu profession.

Kei Tomiyama Award
Awarded for activity in promoting the seiyuu profession in the media.
Yuu Mizushima (Production Ace)

Kazue Takahashi Award
Awarded for activity in promoting the seiyuu profession in the media.
Rica Fukami (Freelance)

MVS (Most Valuable Seiyuu)
Awarded for individual who was most active.
Hiroshi Kamiya (Aoni Production)
Kamiya also won this award last year, when it was first added.

Kids and Family Award
Voted by children from surveys submitted by elementary schools nationwide
All cast members of Muumindani no Nakama-tachi

Influencer
Awarded for most influential individual on various social media.
Mamoru Miyano (Himawari Theatre Group)

Merit Award
Awarded to individuals who have made numerous contributions to the profession and outside the industry.

Special Achievement Award
Instead of selecting individuals, this year's award is dedicated to those who have died in the past year.

Special Award
Awarded to any individual, work, or activity for commendable achievements which do not fit any other category.

So, we get conclusion after seiyuu's award 2020:
1. Hanae,and kaito are CCG members who hunt many ghouls (although hanae is kaneki too)
2. Hanae, atsuki and makoto are from kono oto tomare casts
3. Hanae, makoto and kaito are volleyball players
4. Hanae also join gakuto in black clover as black bull member
5. Atsuki and kaito are vampire hunters from owari no seraph
6. Ai fairouz and kaito have muscles in dumbbell nan kilo moteru anime
7. Shotaro and koichi are popukos
8. Atsuko and kaito are pipimis
9. Kamiyan and mamochan will played uramichi onisan in 2020 (with nakamura, sugita and nana)

not sure about that but I heard that they cut "the scenes" though some articles mentioned that they finally put them back with (certain age) restriction..

Aaah, nice to see more familiar name! A bit salty that Shimonu isn't here, but it's nice to see a lot of new names here~

Shout out to Koudai Sakai!
He's only pretty much only in anime that *ahem* flops, so far.. that's why i'm happy A3! Game is a huge success, so i hope the anime will too! He voiced my angel, Sakuya after all.. TwT

Nacchan winning best actor is to be expected given the popularity of Kimetsu no Yaiba. Plus, he is everywhere XD He seems to be following Kaji's footsteps. We'll see if he can be like Kaji and win the award two years in a row...

IshiKai (and Furukawa) best supporting! I wish IshiKai would get a role that'd get him to win best actor, but it is what it is! I also don't think that's going to happen for next year's awards, since idk how he's doing after getting taken off the sake project :/

The first time I heard Kajiwara in Black Clover, I couldn't deal with his voice. It's part of the reason why I dropped the anime LOL. But I was surprised to hear him in Enen, and he was a lot better there. Heck, I even liked his voice. He also sounds amazing in Paradox Live...so congrats! Shougo Yano's character in Tsurune was a bit too cringe for me, but he did a good job as Mafuyu in Given. Congrats to him as well! Kakeru from KazeTsuyo's VA...I'm LMAO. I didn't know he was Midorigaoka in Dimension High School. I loved him as Kakeru, but oh boy, I had to mute the audio every time he spoke in Dimension High School.

Not really familiar with any of the female VAs, except Tanezaki, who, after all these years, I've finally recognized her voice and name :') Only because she voiced Satowa and Uotani last year. I recognize Ai Fairouz's name, but haven't watched anything with her. Except Shinchou Yuusha. But I don't really remember her voice there.

Congrats to Mamo and Kamiyan! They're such big names and personalities in the industry!

Ah yes, my men Kamiya and Miyano gaining awards!
Especially that "Influencer" award I can totally see Miyano influencing everyone, haha.

Atleast Kitô Akari didn't win the best actress prize like in the Crunchyroll/Funimation awards (which ever it was)
Her mumbling as Nezuko might have been an Oscar Worthy accomplishment,
but I wouldn't exactly call her Actress of the Year for that o_o

Koga Aoi completely deserves the win for her role as Kaguya. <3

Also a shout-out for Ai Fairouz, the amount of emotion she puts in Eripiyo is always a pleasure to the ears. Definitely one of the best new Actresses.

Congrats to all the winners, although I'm kinda surprised/confused why Kito Akari or Kohara Konomi or Iwami Manaka didn't win. I think they did extremely well though...

Impressive list! Aoi Koga, I didn't think she would win it, damn! I feel like Aki Toyosaki's role of Listarte deserved it a slight little more though.

Kind of disappointed to not see Yuki Kaji, Kana Hanazawa, Rie Takahashi and Aoi Yuuki (for Boogiepop!) not make it to the list but great to see a lot of the new and talented actors and actresses getting a nod plus Mamoru Miyano and Hiroshi Kamiya with awards too. Glad to see some love for Ai Fairouz too, she’s had two fantastic Va roles over the last two years imo (Dumbbell and Budoukun).

Absolutely, lol. He wins awards left and right year in and year out. No complaints from my side though and I can't wait to see how he'll play a fatherly role in Kakushigoto in about a month' time or so!

Wow, Gakuto Kajiwara won a prize of this year's Seiyuu Awards. It's great to see that after his rough start in Black Clover he has been recognized for his talent. I'm so happy for him :')
