Manga 'Ane Naru Mono' Gets OVA Adaptation

Publishing company Kadokawa announced an original video anime adaptation of Pochi Iida's Ane Naru Mono (The Elder Sister-like One) manga on Monday.

Synopsis
Since the death of his parents, young Yuu has suffered considerably from neglect and abuse at the hands of his adoptive relatives, who leave him to his own resources to survive. Fortunately, a girl named Chiyo comes to his aid and offers to take care of Yuu while acting as his older sister. However, Chiyo is not what she seems, and Yuu knows all too well that her intentions are far from innocent. In exchange for her generosity, Yuu must supply Chiyo with his "life potential." Based on her doujinshi of the same name, Iida began serializing the supernatural romance manga in Dengeki G's Comic magazine in March 2016. Kadokawa will publish the fourth volume on January 10. Ane Naru Mono has a cumulative 750,000 copies of its volumes in print.

Kadokawa released a television commercial last July, featuring voice actress Yui Horie (Bakemonogatari, Black Bullet) as the main female character Chiyo.

I wish it was the doujins they're adapting instead of the manga.

Hardly enough content to consider it a full-length 12 episode 20+ minutes seasonal. It'll run around 5-6 episodes before catching up. Source material is both a manga and an H-doujin, well, this adaptation in particular is just going for the all-ages route.

Hmm I see, I guess in that case it makes sense. Anime original content rarely goes well with the source material.

As much as I like Yui Horie, I'm not so sure about her voicing Chiyo. I guess we'll just have to hear how good her 'ara ara' is in this. Anyways, I do love myself some Pochi, to where I even own the manga for this series, the non-h version anyways.

At least hoping the animated designs are more detailed than MILF Isekai.

I knew it was only a matter of time before "Ane Naru Mono" gets an anime adaptation when I heard Chiyo was going to make an appearance in the Okasa Online OVA. Both the h-doujin and the manga have amazing artwork. I can't wait to see it all come to life.

Yui Horie is great choice for Chiyo imo.
